Sol Marina Beach Crete Hotel

This was our very first visit to Crete and from the first day to the very last moment, everything was simply perfect. Positives The staff were absolutely lovely and incredibly friendly in every department. The front office team was very helpful and always available. Housekeeping was one of the best we’ve ever experienced – beds were made every day and we received fresh towels daily. The animation team was fantastic – plenty of activity programs during the day and great themed evening shows at their dedicated theater. There are many pools, all in excellent condition and very well maintained. The restaurant staff were helpful and the manager was exceptional. The beach was super clean, with plenty of sunbeds and a safe, enjoyable environment for the kids. Negatives / Suggestions The bathrooms definitely need renovation — they are aging and do not match the otherwise high standards of the hotel. The à la carte dinner at the beach restaurant was disappointing: nothing special, the staff seemed rushed, and the manager was not very friendly. As a suggestion, it would be great if the meals included more traditional Greek dishes and authentic local food options – this would really enhance the overall experience.

A fabulous family hotel! Highly recommend. Fantastic for children, the entertainment team were brilliant with them especially Gabi. My two loved her! The effort they put in and the friendliness around the pool during the day was brilliant. The spa was lovely, we had six treatments and would recommend. We even got to take the kids into the Jacuzzi for half an hour before our treatments began and we got it all to ourselves! Shops, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. A short taxi ride into a bigger town if you want something more lively or more shopping options. Isla was slightly disappointing for the al la carte food but we went back just for an afternoon drink and really enjoyed it. The food in the hotel restaurant is probably the best all inclusive I’ve had in a long time. The pool with the pool bar is salt water but we ended up preferring this. The bungalow room was just lovely, spacious and the mattress was very comfortable. The only downside was the hard pillows. Two was too many and one was not enough. We have already priced up again for next year but it seems the hotel is so popular we can’t get the school holidays again!! We will definitely return. A fantastic holiday!!!

My daughter and I had a fabulous 5 night stay here. The hotel is in a great location, not too far from Heraklion airport. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean and well equipped (including tea and coffee facilities, a fridge and a safe). The food is of an excellent quality, very varied and so much on offer. All the staff, especially the Animation team are super friendly and efficient. The pools are great and we had no issues with sunbed availability. Would highly recommend.

We spent 10 nearly perfect days here at Sol Marina. Hotel very clean und food is very good (I highly recommend dinner at restaurant Isla). Only negative point: poor quality wine at the restaurant and bars. The international animation team is VERY professionnel and we enjoyed participating in various activities. This hotel is a wonderful choice for a family holiday! The whole team is extremely professional and very friendly. The surroundings are modern and spotlessly clean. The choice of food is wide and the dishes are really delicious. The animators offer daily entertainment for both children and adults. There are different pools for adults and children, as well as a lovely sandy beach with sunbeds! The hotel also has shops, car rental and excursions available. It's a place you'll want to come back to.

If you need to relax, it’s the place to go in. The service is perfect and the massage given by Albora was perfect. I feel so much better now.

Just got home from an amazing holiday! The kids loved the all inclusive option from the food to the drinks The staff at this hotel really do make this place feel special from reception to bar staff always smiling which makes you feel welcome, The animation team is great if you have young children we had older kids 11,13,18 but they still had a brilliant time enjoying the activities, Massive shout out to John for being so welcoming The sunsets at this hotel are a must see, Not much to do in the area Goves is a quiet town but we ventured out on to the bus to malia and Heraklion The sea at the beach is a little rough but nice for jumping the waves Overall nice clean hotel thank you

Our family really enjoyed our stay. This hotel and resort has everything. Our children especially loved John Unga Bunga from the kids club! The hotel is clean and all staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was fabulous, slightly limited on the children's menu.

The hotel is beautiful and clean , staff are so welcoming and friendly entertainment staff are amazing especially John unga bunga who looked after us as a family with amazing enthusiasm great aqua aerobics in the pool such an amazing person. Food is lovely lots to choose from love the breakfast. Very lovely bar staff too
