This is a review of the restaurant at the Apollo Bay Hotel. I am compelled to share possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had. We ordered the scallops ceviche. Cannot tell you how bad this dish was. Couldn’t taste the scallops. Perhaps there were some in there there but if so, they were masked by some gooey, maybe avocado?sauce, with, what was it, cumin? I don’t know. It was served on shells on a bed of ice, but this mush was WARM! This restaurant doesn’t have servers—we had to flag someone down mid-meal to get some water and a bowl for shells from other dishes. They just don’t care about the food they serve or their guests. My main of the seafood linguine was good, nevertheless I do not recommend this restaurant.

The food was good, the place is gorgeous. David has made the activities fun and enjoyable, the beach volleyball and the pool fitness was great. He was friendly and approachable. David made our trip more memorable. It was pretty difficult to get a drink in the bar, and it would be great to have a water dispenser so we don’t have to wait 10 minutes for a glass of water.

The hotel was in a wonderful location on the beach and near to everything including bars, restaurants? Shops and a bus stop at the front of the hotel. We had a nice room on the 3rd floor, the room was basically like a premier inn but with a view. The hotel catered for purely German tourists, the only entertainment we saw was for German tourists and nothing at all for other nationalities including English, no music at all only for the water aerobics in the morning for half an hour. The breakfast was very good and evening meal was fine, something for everyone. The bar drinks were expensive 2 vodka and coke €29. If they tasted nice I would not mind paying but they were local drinks. I would not return to this hotel as feel it’s mainly for German tourists and should be advertised as such. We were a bit lonely

We stay at Apollo Beach every time we're on Rhodes. It has everything we need. Even boat trips start right from its beach. There is a large parking lot, bus stop, and many restaurants around. I highly recommend this hotel.

Exceptional hotel. Location is great, on the beach, central Faliraki, lots of tavernas and plenty choice of restaurants, shops. Close to Rhodes Old Town which is stunning. Good bus links/ lots of cars available for rent. Plenty of sunbeds, free to use, can easily access both beach and pool from sunbeds. Staff is great and very polite and helpful. Food is good, plenty of choice. Rooms are ok, ours had sea view. Guests usually polite, no drunken people etc Late check out not really available as very busy during peak time but they offered us a free dinner as an apology which I found extremely nice on their behalf. We came from Edinburgh via Jet2 holidays. Cannot fault the hotel, all was really good. If were to come back to Rhodes, would stay here again.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! The hotel is amazing! Food was delicious Staff were great Facilities brilliant! Also a huge thank you to the lovely entertaining lady behind the bar on the evening! She was ace! (Can’t state her name, but sounded like Alga) sorry ;-( She will remember me as she passed on an extra pot of complimentary nuts ;-) Kids and family loved it (we were a group of 15) Overall, brilliant!

All staff was excellent .very helpful. The room was very clean, and I had everything you need.The restaurant staff was very helpful, showing me what I could eat and not me being celiac. The location was perfect, not too far from the amenities .Felt very safe walking around as I was on my own.

We’ve had a great time staying at the Apollo Beach Hotel this summer. It was our 3 year old’s daughter first trip abroad and we were a little nervous but she had an excellent time. The weather was exceedingly hot and the pools available at the hotel helped a lot, both the small one, designed for babies and toddlers and the larger one, were adults can also swim. What I personally enjoyed was the reclusive, quiet lounge area from where I could relax in the comfort of the A/C while reading a book and watching the swimmers in the indoor swimming pool.
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. There are all sorts of activities for children in the afternoon and in the evening. The pizza made on the spot at the snack bar is excellent.
Our daughter did need some medical attention at one point and the hotel contacted a pediatrician that, for a fee, quickly, efficiently and very gently solved the problem and prescribed some much needed medication, so we could continue to enjoy our stay in Greece.
The hotel is located some 30 minutes by bus from the city of Rhodes where the medieval castle is a major highlight. We visited the city twice and would very much like to return, possibly for a relaxed city break.
All in all, a great experience.
