Dimitris Villa in Kamari

Bit of a praise sandwich....The positives of this place are that the rooms were large and cleaned every day. The pool was clean and a decent size, the beds were plentiful, and had umbrellas for shade. The aircon in the rooms was good although our unit was positioned with a curtain pole in front which blocked the outflow so every day I had to move the vents to bypass this. The Wi-Fi was hit and miss and rarely worked after 10 pm, The electricity only worked when the key was in the slot so when you were out of the room nothing could be charged (phones, etc.) cause the sockets were off. The walk to the beach was at least 20 minutes and in the heat that's a lot walking along the beachfront was nearly impossible due to the stones. yes, it is a short walk to the beach but there's absolutely nothing there You have to go into Kamari to be amongst people, restaurants shops, etc. The staff although friendly enough certainly did not utilize the area there could have been an offer of drinks service or tasty lunchtime snacks for people staying round the pool. Only one day did we buy a soft drink there it was 12 euros for 4 Fantas so went to the shop instead and bought them for a third of the price. The breakfast in a word was rank, the coffee machine worked intermittently, nothing was chilled, eggs looked like they had been cooked the night before, butter was melted, milk for cereal was warm and there was not even a toaster. I did not eat breakfast once during our whole 9-day stay. Finally, on the day we checked out we were allowed to keep one of our rooms the entire day until our cab arrived at 5 pm this made our last day so stressfree and we are very grateful for this kind and helpful gesture.
