Everyone working at the hotel was very welcoming and friendly, especially Maria at the pool bar who made sure we were well looked after during the day! Our stay would not have been the same without her and we miss her daily iced coffees and cocktails (non alcoholic for me)

The location was ideal - only a short walk (no more than 10 minutes) to the beach and a variety of restaurants and bars, all serving amazing food! I’d also highly recommend the open air cinema within walking distance

Our room was spotless, cleaned daily and spacious enough for our needs. The breakfast selection was small (as to be expected from a small hotel) but well cooked and plentiful enough to fill us up for the morning

The selection included toast, pastries, cereal, ham, cheeses, eggs and sausage/bacon. We visited Fira and Oia via bus which was a very cheap and easy way to travel (€2 per journey per person)

Although a small hotel, we never had any trouble finding sunbeds around the pool (at any time). Spending time at the pool was very relaxing and peaceful

I’m glad we took the time to visit as we saw an incredible sunset, but the towns were so busy with tourists (and more expensive) compared to Kamari

This was my 3rd stay at Hippocampus. Absolutely amazing and will not stay anywhere else in Kamari/Santorini. Hotel is beautiful, lovely comfortable rooms, clean, gorgeous pools and friendly welcoming staff

Located near Kamari seaside, it offers a perfect hub to move either around the little town and the whole Island

As others have said - the receptionist could not do more for you. 2-3 min walk to the beach and restaurants, supermarkets and an array of bars, airport pickups and an ample and well stocked buffet breakfast

The family that run it make this 6 star in my opinion. Such lovely people and even the cleaners would meet you with a smile and a "good morning" - it felt perfect. The pools and recent work ARE 5 star

We had a lovely holiday here, clean room friendly staff, good pool, nice breakfasts and short walk to a great town with loads of tavernas and bars. Beach great, rocky but beautiful. Prepare to haggle down subbeds

The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, there were several areas that needed improvement. The pools were okay – the water appeared green and murky, and the surrounding tiles looked neglected and in need of a deep clean

Had a very nice stay in the hotel, its located in Kamari, 3-5 min walk to the beach where you have many places to choose to stay and eat, the bus station is also close, nice and clean rooms, nice and help-full personnel

Just got home from enjoying a week at this lovely family run hotel. Fresh breakfast with lots of choices, close to restaurants and beach. Staff outstanding, from the friendly welcome to the cleaning of the rooms

We had a wonderful vacation at Andreas. It was not only about the clean room and the good breakfast, but also the warm atmosphere and, of course, the beautiful yard, where having breakfast felt truly special

We had a nice stay with my family. Very good location close to the beach Kamari, 3- 5 minutes walk. A lot of restaurants and shops around. The breakfast was good and has a good variety both for adults and kids

The gardens are beautiful, gorgeous spot to have your breakfast. Lots of homemade food at breakfast inc jams and cake which was delicious. Location is excellent, 5mins walk to beach and restaurants

The breakfast is very good and healthy, they serv homemade gem and cake. The garden is marvelous (haven’t seen anything like this on the entire island), new pool and nice roof garden

The fresh water pool is a delight, with sun all day and spectacular views of the sea and mountains. The location is perfect, set back for peace and quiet and only a five minute walk to where it's all happening

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Santa Elena in Santorini. The hotel was very clean, cozy, and overall just perfect for a relaxing holiday. It is simply and thoughtfully designed, with everything you need to feel at home

Owners are super friendly and attentive to your needs. Beach is about 15 minute walk and the bus is about 7 minute walk. Bus can take you to Fira and Eau. No food or drinks available at the hotel after breakfast

Transfers, rentals, restaurants, trips and they are also full of wisdom we will never forget. The architecture is beautiful throughout. Breakfast was wonderful and lovingly made and served each morning

This was the best hotel stay I have ever had and I have been to over 40 countries. The hosts are incredible people that you can trust to recommend and arrange everything for you on your holiday

Staff were always friendly and pool area is great. The hotel is away from the madness of Fira and oia but very close to a bus stop (3min walk approx) which has regular busses to Fira and from there you can get to Oia

They have us an actual key to the room that would turn on the lights and keep ac flowing. And then a master key for the front door after 11. The staff was so welcoming felt like they welcomed me into their home

their options about restaurants did not disappointed us. Breakfast absolutely fine, room was cleaned every day which was more than appreciated

Pool and outside area were stunning, and with that the cocktail and snack bar were amazing. For the price of drinks you get more than what u order. Really all in together amazing and beautiful experience

There are lots of steps unless ur on the ground floor, no lifts but staff help with ur luggage. Attentive staff, helpt with our car rental. Plenty of sun loungers nice relaxing music at pool

We fell in love with it this hotel at first sight. Staf was absolutely amazing, very nice and friendly, telling us what should we visit where is expensive where cheeper

The hotel is really close to sea, whole crew is nice and helpful, airplanes are loud but we quickly adapted and stop hearing them. Our room was cleaned everyday. Definitely would recommend!

Pool and sun loungers is a bit of an issue as it is in most hotels but to be honest we didn't really use them and spent most of our time either on the beach or sight seeing so it was not an issue for us

They were not only professional but also genuinely personable, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel like part of the family. One of the highlights of our stay was how kind the staff were towards my children

Very close to the airport so be prepared for planes flying over, but that did not present us any issues and you soon get used to them. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection

The hotel is on the flight path and only ten minutes from the airport so you do hear the aircraft going over but we loved watching them. All in all a perfect place to stay

You'll have your breakfast with them & Prince then has sun beds on the beach with your very own doorbell so they're are at your service! Special mention to Maria at Makris Hotel on reception, a very very lovely lady, she made us feel at home and was a great laugh! Thank you for making our honeymoon extra special! This is a great place to stay close to the beach. We landed in Greece late night and we had to call the front desk since they are not there 24 hours. Make sure you communicate with them what time are you are arriving.

My husband and I spent two nights at Makriz Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing

A special thanks to Maria at the reception , she was so welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, I had to leave before her duty started again, but I truly appreciated her kindness and professionalism

However, we had two efficient air conditioning units and a small terrace where we could relax and enjoy the warm evenings. Service The service was excellent throughout our stay. The reception staff were warm and helpful

Hotel is located next to the airport and planes fly directly over - however we got used to it and even little bit liked it (quite cool sight, must be dream destination for plane spotters!)

We loved the place! The fava beans were a native Santorini speciality that we really loved. The drinks were great and the whole place was both beautiful and relaxed and comfortable

Spacious rooms, very well cleaned. Great breakfast with lot to choose for everyone's taste. Lot of restaurants/shops and beautiful promenade in walking distance

This place is right on the water with a black sand beach, and service that is both friendly and above and beyond what we expected

The breakfast was fantastic, with so many options: meats, cheeses, fruit, bread, cereals, jams, praline spread, cakes, and more! The pool is great too, with snacks and drinks available for purchase

Kamari isn’t a party town, so it’s ideal for families or anyone who actually wants to sleep at night. There’s a bus station about a 10–15-minute walk away, and it takes you straight to Fira

Absolutely lovely room with balcony and sea view at one side. Very clean and serviced every day , Room had a very comfy bed with high quality linen, a TV , a/c ,fridge, a safe and a kettle

Included was a very nice breakfast with fresh bread, greek yoghurt, eggs, vegetables and sweet stuff, not to mention the coffee! Short walk to Kamari beach and it's services and bus stop is around the corner

Rooms are beautiful, all the area is super clean, the breakfast has everything from sweet to sour. The position is wonderful, just one step away from the beach and the sea is priceless

The pool is wonderful too, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, just like at the beach. Breakfast is well taken care of and always filling — you won’t leave hungry

We have had very nice holidays in Arion Bay. The Romanian Tourism agency which booked the rooms made an error and I have had to sleep, for a night, in another hotel

We stayed at the end of June into July. A DOUBLE BED! First time on any holiday,fridge, tv, free safe and aircon. It’s a small hotel on the edge of town but there’s tavernas all the way on the walk to the beach

This is our second time to this hotel. Ideal base to Kamari less than 5 minutes to the main strip of the town. Supermarket over the road and plenty of restaurants and shops with in easy walking distance

The room was comfortable and extremely clean and well kept. Breakfast was absolutely fine for us. With pastries, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, yoghurt and Greek meats and cheese, coffee and orange juice

Pool lovely area new sun loungers. Breakfast is basic if you choose to eat lovely fruit and Greek yogurt. Staff all friendly every where clean and smelt fresh. Would definitely recommend and return

Very convenient to the airport and the town of Kamari is beautiful with long beach and plenty of lovely restaurants. The Taverna Sallada directly opposite Karadis is definetelty worth a visit

Just finished two glorious weeks in Kamari and we visited here most days. Wonderful staff, great food, truly sublime cocktails, with quick service both on the beach and in the bar

Great bar. The wife loved the Pina Coladas. The entertainment was brilliant, some crazy fella from Miami made for a very spirited night.

The beach bar is great, umbrella is offered for the customers and they proposed delicious smoothies.

Tip: The hotel has a fantastic rooftop where you can enjoy your breakfast consisting of the freshest Greek products (had a delicious homemade cake) and the view of the endless sea

I cannot recommend this place enough. From our very friendly welcome, to the yummy breakfast, beautiful room, spotlessly clean, great pool area. We loved our stay here and are planning to return

The breakfast was fresh and adequate, the room was comfortable and clean, the location was excellent! There are so many restaurants so close by, but Lilian also suggested some great places

Lilian, the owner, was amazing and so helpful as I had a sudden medical illness to deal with. She helped us find a doctor and always checked in on me, to see how I was doing

The beach is rocky and you need water shoes, but the water was beautiful! I highly recommend the Ino Hotel. Just remember to bring your own shampoo and conditioner

We had a lovely stay in this hotel, perfect location across from the beach, has its own sunloungers, we had bed and breakfast and couldn't fault it, everything from bacon, eggs to fresh croissants, the staff were helpful and friendly, rooms serviced daily, only downside for me would be the very small bathroom

Talking to friends who were in other4 and 5 star hotels in the same area, their breakfast was the same as ours. If you need a breakfast top up, there is a lovely bakery shop on the beach front

The only drawbacks are that the room was small although had a large bed, there was no full length mirror. Breakfast is the same every day with only slight variations

Cleanest place I've stayed at in ages. Nothing luxurious but good clean, solidly decent hotel. Their restaurant is excellent, all the meals we had were delicious. Breakfast is varied in choices and plentiful

Rooms are fresh and tidy, equipped with air-conditioner, fridge, safe, TV in both rooms, hair dryer and balcony, nothing very fancy, but comfortable. Bathroom could be a bit bigger

The location is amazing, it’s right on the beach and there is loads of restaurants and shops. There is also a bus station nearby which goes to the town centre Fira. I would recommend for a couple or for a small family

This hotel was perfect in every way. It is right on the beach. Room was immaculately clean. Bed was comfy. As a solo traveller I felt safe and that is a huge plus for me.
