The Boathouse Hotel in Kamari

We stayed for two weeks and had an absolute blast. The staff is truly amazing, so kind and welcoming. They always took the time to chat with us, and the ladies who cleaned the rooms were sweet as pie.

The breakfast was fantastic, with so many options: meats, cheeses, fruit, bread, cereals, jams, praline spread, cakes, and more!

The pool is great too, with snacks and drinks available for purchase. And the view from the hotel? Absolutely stunning.

The hotel is perfectly located close to many restaurants, but still calm and quiet at night. Kamari isn’t a party town, so it’s ideal for families or anyone who actually wants to sleep at night.

There’s a bus station about a 10–15-minute walk away, and it takes you straight to Fira.

We just spent 5 days here celebrating my best friend’s 50th, and honestly, we’re still trying to figure out how to move in permanently. The property is gorgeous, the vibe is relaxed but elevated, and the staff? Absolute rockstars—helpful, kind, fun, and somehow everywhere you need them to be while keeping the place spotless and the guests happy. Bonus points for the detailed evacuation plan (because hey, the “big earthquake” is always the wild card on an island adventure)—it actually gave me peace of mind to know they’ve thought of everything.

Huge shout-out to Evie, who basically became our fairy godmother of excursions. She set us up with a catamaran trip that goes down in my personal history as one of my Top 5 Days Ever (and I don’t hand out that ranking lightly). Sun, sea, laughter, and memories that will be retold for years to come.

If you’re thinking about staying here—stop overthinking and just book it. You’ll leave relaxed, spoiled, a little sun-kissed, and already plotting your return. Five stars, zero regrets.

We stayed at the boathouse for 2 weeks. It was perfect the buffet breakfast is fantastic. The ladies working there and the owners are so kind and lovely. The boathouse is located just in front of the beach and near a lot of restaurants and little market.

What a lovely, friendly hotel, right on the beach front with many restaurants nearby. Diane and her team were very helpful, friendly and always smiling. They go out of their way to help in any way they can! Breakfast was delightful with a good choice of drinks and food. Rooms are clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Pool area was beautifully kept. We will definitely be visiting again! 😊

Highly recommended! A very well-maintained, family-run hotel of a manageable size, located at the northern and somewhat quieter end of Kamari Beach, with unobstructed views of the sea just a few meters away. There are various room categories, which are well explained on the booking website. The spacious ones on the upper floor with a balcony and sea view are certainly the nicest. The furnishings are functional and new; we particularly liked the bathroom with its large shower. The beds are also very comfortable; you sleep excellently in them. Everything, from the small to the large, is in good condition; everything is clean and always smells good. The pool is a feast for the eyes and is constantly cleaned. Special mention should be made of the extensive and high-quality breakfast. We had a good look around Kamari, especially its hotels and guesthouses. If we come here again, we would definitely choose the "Boathouse" again. Many thanks to Diane, Spyros, and Evi; we felt very comfortable with you and had a wonderful time.

My wife and I came here on honeymoon. I had nothing to do with the booking and my wife got it absolutely spot on with this place. The room was great (A) if you would like a poolside room. We had the choice how often we wanted the rooms cleaned and bedding/towels changed
The staff are very friendly and approachable and happy to give advise on where to visit and places to eat.
Breakfast options were also great with continental style, cereal and some cooked options. A large selection of teas and coffee also for breakfast along with juices and water.
The bar also offers a large offering of drinks but we didn't really use the bar here.

The best part of the room for me was it's location, 10 mins in a taxi from the airport, right on the sea front and restaurants on your doorstep but it was quiet too. We did come in October so this may effect this. As we are close to the airport we did hear planes going over but personally we were fine with this.

If you get an opportunity to book here definitely take it while it's available.

My now husband & I had an excellent time here. The staff is amazing, they made us feel so welcome & congratulated us on our wedding. The location is amazing & their breakfast is seriously so good. I can’t recommend this place & staff enough.

Where do I even begin... possibly the sweetest Hotel in Kamari. The location is right at the beach promenade with direct, unobstructed beach access so you can relax at the pool and go for a dip in the sea. The Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive (special thanks to Will). The buffet style breakfast was great. The room was clean and spacious with a modern bathroom and a nice little balcony. Did I mention they have a hotel cat called Zeus? Everything you could ever want from a Hotel. We will definitely return.

We spent a week in august, really enjoyed our stay, family run with many returning guests, (always a good sign) great views nice pool area , though not enough sunbeds, attentive friendly staff, great location.

We visited last Sunday and had a fantastic time. Staff were so friendly and the food was incredible. Also, amazing entertainment, we will definitely return!
