The room and the bathroom were nice and clean. The hotel's location is in a really good spot, considering it's in the heart of Budapest. The hotel staff was also really polite and professional. We even got coffee in our room when we first arrived. When we first arrived, there was nobody at the reception, but we had clear and detailed instructions via message, so there was no confusion whatsoever.

Our reservation was cancelled 4 days before arrival.

We were three families; only one was cancelled due to "the toilet being broken in one room". No, by law, they're not allowed to give us the room with a broken toilet, they said.

Ok, found another last-minute reservation. That was also more expensive and of poor quality.

The other two families arrived here, and, surprise, surprise, they received the third room as well, by mistake, I presume. Guess what? No toilet problems whatsoever.

This hotel is in a great location, the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious, but be weary as it's not the cleanest or most updated of hotels! The staff are friendly but not often there but available and call. But for the price it is well worth it.

I stayed at Hotel Metro in Budapest and it was an extremely disappointing experience. During my entire 4-day stay, my room was never cleaned, nor were the towels replaced, despite the hotel stating that this should happen daily or every two days. I asked for fresh towels at reception, and was promised they would be sent to my room—but they never arrived.

Additionally, when I requested a basic dental kit, the staff told me to go buy one at the supermarket. The service was completely negligent and unprofessional. On several occasions, there was no one at reception, even during hours when it was supposed to be open.

To make matters worse, the photos on the hotel's website do not match the reality of the place. I felt misled by the online presentation. When I checked out, I mentioned all these issues, but I received no apology or solution. I also sent follow-up emails after my stay, but never received a response.

A total lack of customer care. I would not return and do not recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Metro offers spacious, clean, air-conditioned rooms at very affordable prices. Having stayed here many times now, I have always had a pleasant experience. The beds are clean and comfortable and a perfect location to explore the city. Furthermore it's just 2 minutes walk from the train station.

Well located basic clean accommodation near a major railway and transport hub and a classic Budapest boulevarde. The rental rate is reasonable for this style of 2 person accommodation.

Hotel in a very convenient location, close to the metro and many services. Unfortunately it has some flaws, first of all the cleanliness that leaves a little to be desired. There were hairs on the pillows, in the sheets and in the bathroom. There is a reception but in 90% of cases it is closed and you can enter with a code.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was perfect – just a short walk to the metro station, shops, and the city center. It was incredibly convenient to explore all the nearby attractions, and there were plenty of cafes to enjoy as well. The hotel itself was spotless, and I had no issues at all during my stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in the heart of the city with all the conveniences close by.
