A fantastic and modern hotel on the harbour in Reykjavik. Everything is brilliant. A particular highlight was the food at the bakery and the Le Kock restaurant. Our room was really modern and had everything we needed. Try a doughnut at the bakery!
Careful with the downstairs park, it’s pretty tight!

The hotel's location is convenient, but they don't have triple rooms. There are good restaurants downstairs or nearby. There's a car park, but only small cars can safely fit; larger cars might not make it.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Exeter Hotel in Reykjavík, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service from Czarek at the front desk.

From the moment we met him, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Every time we approached him with a question or needed recommendations, he went above and beyond with patience and kindness. He didn’t just do his job and made us feel truly welcomed and valued.

On our last day, he even surprised us with two of Reykjavík’s special donuts that are only made once a year. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us and perfectly captures the level of care and hospitality he provides.

Exeter Hotel is lucky to have someone like Czarek representing them. Because of him, our trip felt extra special. We’ll absolutely be recommending this hotel to friends and family.

We stayed at the Exeter over the New Year and had a fantastic time. The staff were amazing and helped make our once-in-a-lifetime trip all the more magical.

The hotel is located right next to the harbor, with plenty of local museums nearby. It's a perfect base if you intend to 'city crawl' around Reykjavik or catch tour buses to attractions in the countryside.
The breakfast is definitely worth adding on; everything was fresh and rotated daily, while keeping staples like skyr, cereal, and fresh bread as constants.

Our Harborside Deluxe room was cozy and suited us perfectly for our honeymoon.

The hotel was amazing! The rooms were very clean, tidy, and beautifully designed. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help us every day. The lobby felt super cozy with its lovely Christmas decorations, we really enjoyed spending time there as a group.

It was also extremely convenient to have a bar, restaurant, and bakery all in the same building. The location was perfect as well: very close to the city center and well connected to the bus station for the airport.

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you, Exeter Hotel, for a wonderful stay!

The hotel is small but thankfully clean. The heating wasn't quite sufficient, so it wasn't very warm. The location is close to the airport shuttle, but it's a bit of a walk to the city center. The donuts downstairs are delicious though!

The Exeter is a perfectly located hotel in Reykjavik. It's across the street from a tour bus pick up site and a very short walk from downtown. Our room had a nice view of the water and Mount Esja. Despite being on a busy street, the noise in the room was nil. The room felt small but it was clean. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Including breakfast is well worth it, especially if you have an early start and the food was fresh and varied. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The sauna was amazing after a long day of walking. We highly recommend this hotel.
