Seems like a new hotel. Reception on first floor (one floor up from street entry). 24 hr reception, friendly staff (advise them on check in if you want daily room service. 7 floors of accommodation. Rooms smallish but warm, beds comfy. Breakfast was wonderful, if you go when it opens at 7am pastries are still warm. Small selection of books to read and games to play. It is a couple of km to town centre so for us (retired couple) it was a bit too far to walk). Tours pickup from the door though. Several restaurants within a few minutes walk. Even managed to see the Northern Lights from the bedroom window (but drive out of the city for better viewings). Some (free) parking at the main entrance, more dedicated parking to the side of the hotel.

The rooms are modest, the bathroom is nice and clean and has a modern rainfall shower. The receptionists are really friendly and helpful! We were a bit early for check in but they helped us register and let us park the car in the hotels parking lot.

4* in location because it's easier to drive to downtown than walk, less than 10 minutes.... parking close to the church is cheap enough.
Lovely staff, the room is excellent, enough space for three of us.
We enjoy the breakfast, good variety but it's the same thing everyday, but that's no problem for us.

Nice clean, modern hotel about 20 minutes walk from the attractions of Reykjavik. There are some nice restaurants close by especially Olifa pizza restaurant, there's a Netto supermarket a couple of minutes walk away. Decent breakfast and nice friendly staff. A special mention to receptionist Elana who went out of her way to help us when we missed our excursion transfer, managing to get us on a later trip. Her efforts saving our last day. It was very much appreciated.

Customer service and support is excellent, especially the booking and assistance of Flybus departures.

This was a lovely hotel to stay in. From the management to the kitchen staff- all lovely people, very warm and welcoming. The room we stayed in was bright, spacious (for 2), and very clean. There was a large wardrobe, tea/coffee making station, a flatscreen TV and a good sized bathroom with walk in shower. The double bed was very comfortable (compared to some hotels!!). There was no noise concerns and a very quiet hotel. Breakfast was served every morning, a range of dishes served: cereal/porridge, fruit and yogurts, fresh pastries, cold meats, fresh veg, lovely bread, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/juices. Just to note though: they do not serve lunch or dinner in this hotel. BUT there is a good number of restaurants beside the restaurant (including an Italian right next door!) within walking distance, so no need to panic. The hotel itself is in a good location. There is a bus stop right outside (for those who don't drive). Tours leave the hotel regularly and pick and drop you off- which is a great addition. But I would recommend, if you want to explore Iceland further, to rent a car like we did. Just gives you more freedom and there's free parking with the hotel. Overall, a great experience and we would recommend to anyone.

Delicious sushi, the service was super friendly and it didn't take very long to resive our order. Would definitely come again!

I really like sushi and was looking forward to seeing what sushi in Iceland tastes like. Unfortunately this place was very slow in serving, badly undercooked the tofu in the miso soup, and provided old and weak tasting ginger and wasabi with the sushi. 2 stars because at least the fish was good as it tends to be in Iceland.

This place is a quiet gem tucked away between office spaces and hotels.
The sushi is exquisite and worth waiting for, just make sure you aren't in a rush when you come here.

We waited for a half an hour to only get notified that hour they lost the receipt and were starting to make the food

Most of their food tastes like cardboard with Fairy (if you ask them nicely, maybe they will even get the colour right), vegetables from a skip and rice several days old.
15.09.2017 Mimi
Awhile back, I read that this was a good restaurant... the ready food doesn't look good, but the made fresh to order isn't bad. Perhaps not that Chinese, but there aren't that many options in town, unfortunately.

Recommend the fish orly with rice and ask for curry sauce rather than sweet and sour.

Fast Chinese food and very tasty but way overpriced
