What a wonderful place to stay. It is beautifully decorated in antiques. Very artsy, creative and fun. Lots of plants and plenty of common area places to sit indoors and out. It is like a secret hideaway. Artistic people will love it! The room is clean, the bathroom is small but very functional. My double room has a fridge, microwave, sink and hot water urn. It even comes with disposable dishes for a picnic. I came back tonight to find my room made-up and a hot thermos of cinnamon tea waiting for me (did not ask for it!). there is also free cake and coffee in the common area. Today it was raining and they had put out umbrellas for people to use. A super location if you want to be at the center of the Jewish Orthodox in Jerusalem, right near kikar Shabbat. Just an overall lovely place to stay!!

The staff is super nice and welcoming, the bed was really comfortable and the room was spacious with a fridge, microwave and a water kettle. We got a voucher to try a special dish for free in a restaurant close by, which was really nice. When sharing our feedback about the shower, we got a really good service and a free voucher to breakfast to compensate.
When using the shower in our room, there was unfortunately no hot water, both in the evening and the following morning. The door to the bathroom didn't close easily.
The AC was not working consistently. The curtains were very thin and there was a light coming the entire night and morning.
It was a bit noisy as well.
One more thing to take into consideration is that the area is EXTREMELY ORTHODOX. Women need to be completely covered, therefore, it might not be super comfortable for everyone.

Very clean rooms and a funky decor are what you will find here. And in the heart of the ultra Orthodox neighborhood of Geula. Lots of bus stops nearby and walking distance to everything. You are in the part of the city that never sleeps and if you are lucky they will have a room with a small porch (mirpeset) if you ask for it. The rooms are small but comfortable and the bathrooms are even smaller, as befits a hotel in the center of the city.

A wonderful hotel with very helpful staff. The rooms are spacious (mine had a table with chairs, two beds, kitchenette, bathroom, and a balcony with seating) and kept very clean. The beds were made and the towels replaced daily. On Shabbat, the staff left a fresh loaf of bread in the room along with a kind note. The hotel has a washer and dryer on site for guests interested in doing laundry. The lobby also has plentiful snacks for guests on a daily basis.

In terms of location, the hotel is in an orthodox neighborhood, so make sure to be aware of that when choosing clothing. The lodgings are a short walk from the Shuk and a slightly longer walk to the Old City. For public transit, there’s a bus stop only a few feet from the front entrance.

Tzefania Hotel was an excellent choice for our stay In Jerusalem. From the eclectic decor to the beautiful garden, we felt transported to a different world. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the nearby sites. The attention to detail was apparent in every aspect of the hotel, and we loved the sense of history and character it exuded. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting the city.

Live this little hotel . It’s one of the oldest b&b in Jerusalem only 18 rooms . Beautifully decorated feels like I’m in the 1940’s live it . Very friendly reception. The room is spacious with all the amenities. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a quant small hotel/B&B.

Wonderful attention by the manager (family). Rooms are the same price, first come first served basis. Some have balconies and one has a private garden. The rooms and hotel are full of antiques. Also there are dining areas in the rooms and in a common area. Common outdoor garden areas as well.

Personal vacation trip to Jerusalem. For the the price and quality, you can't beat it for a family owned establishment. It is a five minute walk from the bus that will take you to the light rail which will take you to the central bus station and locations throughout the city. It is a great base of operations to tour the country and come back to a quiet, stylish place with antiques and a beautiful garden in a fenced in area. Great choice.

Nice rooms to stay in Jerusalem. Lilac was very helpful and answered all our questions. Bed was very comfortable. Please take into account that the apartment is located in an ultra orthodox Jewish neighborhood so you should dress modestly while you walk there.
