Mangia's Favignana Resort in Favignana

After waiting at the pool from 10am to 5pm to access our room, we were told we would receive a call when our room was ready. We received no such communication so approached reception for our room key. The first room we were given was infested with flies and was generally very unclean and dusty. There was also stains on the bed spread and towels. It also had a small window facing onto the main courtyard with no covering or curtain. William at reception was very helpful and moved us to another room nearer to the pool. After spending one night in the new room we awoke to mouse droppings in two locations, the entry way and bathroom. The shower was also incredibly mouldy. We immediately left the hotel after only one night of two as we felt the hotel was not sanitary enough to stay in. We made a complaint to the reception about our experience and were told as it was a Sunday head office was closed and would look at the issue on Monday. We were also told that a pest control team were out a week prior and “might have missed one”, I’m not sure on what planet this acceptable to tell a paying guest, or what reassurance this might offer, it is completely unacceptable. We were given an email address to forward pictures of the issues to and a statement of what we experienced. One week we on have received no follow up from the hotel, not even so much as an acknowledgement to our email. Do not waste your time, effort and money staying here.
