Hotel Villa Sofia in Gardone Riviera

Great location, nice and quiet. Breakfast with sort of weirdly scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages kept hot for too long and not fresh enough. Foods on tables (it's all help yourself) not replenished enough and was quick to run out.

However, the worst Wi Fi ever for me and my partner - ever. Drops out within seconds of logging on despite auto selecting "keep me logged on" or similar phrase, even after being given a new user name and password. Too many Wi Fi issues to put on here. Don't see that changing.

Shower curtain was one of those old fashioned clingy nylon types and the shower itself was old and had inconsistent heat flow after thinking it had settled, no such luck :-) Water pressure of shower was really good though.

No Iron available for ironing ones own clothes in the room, so had to wear crumpled shirts, you know the sort from when they've been tightly packed in your case.

It's not the easiest to find at night, when what appears to be a path, is actually a roadway to it. Not clearly signposted.

A hefty 40 odd Euros for a few sandwiches and a couple of drinks upon arrival at night was what we were charged at check out!

Make doubly sure that your Google maps sends you to the correct hotel Sofia on the Gardone Rivera. Our passengers got the wrong one thanks to Google, resulting in a 3.5 hour drive from Verona Airport, instead of 1.5 hours. Be really careful there.

You could do worse. It's gonna look worse than my review, so don't let that put you off.
