Hotel Smeraldo in Lignano Sabbiadoro

We spent 3 nights and had a wonderful time. In our opinion this is the best area in Lignano Sabbiadoro, mich quiter than the upper area, but still a lot of things to do, The room was spotless (we had the renovated Deluxe room), the breakfast is quite nice including gluten-free options, the staff is friendly. The beach is 300 metres, and the Hotel has dedicated sunbeds and umbrellas there, you can just ask for the voucher. There are also bicycles available for free, so you can have an easy ride around the area. There are shops nearby, so overall highly revommended place to stay. The only thing I mention on the down side is that the water temperature in the pool was extremely and for us unreasonably cold, much colder than the sea temperature.

We spent a pleasant week at our favorite hotel, now for the third time. This time we chose a basic room, which fully met our expectations: cleanliness, air conditioning, a large balcony, and a safe. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very kind and attentive. The receptionist offered to move our sun umbrella to a better row the next day. I enjoyed the wide variety of seafood; we could choose from three types of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Breakfast could be enjoyed either inside the restaurant or on the covered terrace overlooking the garden and the pool. The hotel is located in a peaceful, green area, about a 10-minute walk from the shopping and entertainment district of Pineta. It's a 5-minute walk to the beach through a beautiful grove of palm and oleander trees. Bicycles are also available. After check-out, we were allowed to leave our car in the parking lot until the afternoon. We saw that the hotel is developing—many rooms have already been beautifully renovated. Since we took advantage of the early booking option, we were able to enjoy our holiday at a very favorable price: we stayed for 7 days for the price of 6. We stayed from Sunday to Sunday, which worked well for us in terms of travel, as we avoided weekday rush hours around big cities, trucks, and the Saturday crowds on the roads.I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

It was a very nice stay!
The beach was very near and the staff was very friendly. Also the interior was modern and nice. The pool was good as well.

Parking spot was an issue as there wasn’t enough for all hotel guests. Also the walls between the rooms has been very thin so it was noisy sometimes.

The staff was helpful and nice. The location of the hotel is fine, approx. 5-8 minutes walk from the beach, umbrella and sunbeds are included in the price of stay from 3 nights. There were also gluten-free pastries, cheese, hams, salami, vegetables, sweet pastries and lots of ingredients for the perfect muesli. The pool was clean, large, and had a section for children. The location of the hotel is fine, approx. 5-8 minutes walk from the beach, umbrella and sunbeds are included in the price of stay from 3 nights, but it is also possible to rent them for 15 euros per day. I rate the stay in this hotel as very pleasant.

I emailed Hotel Smeraldo in hopes of sending my boyfriend a dessert and a glass of wine while he stayed there on a work trip from the USA. The staff's responsiveness and kindness blew me away. I hope to join him there one day!
