Hotel Giuseppe in Ventimiglia

This hotel is not safe! The owner was extremely loud in the morning, shouting while speaking to guests, which made it impossible to rest. He was also quite rude and unprofessional during check-in, which gave a very bad first impression.

The room itself was dirty and felt very old. The furniture was worn out, and the cleanliness was far below basic standards. I would not recommend staying here unless serious improvements are made.

We arrived in the last train from Milano and struggled to find a taxi to our next destination around midnight. We considered this hotel as an alternative if we found no taxis. We went in and the receptionist man immediately told us we couldn’t be in the lobby even for a few minutes while we decided to call a cab or make a reservation. There were drunk men, homeless people and individuals who looked visibly under the influence of something. My group consisted of a child, an elderly woman and 2 more women. We decided to wait outside given his response and just come back on 20 minutes if no cab showed up. He kept ushering us out despite trying to explain this, kept repeating to not wait in there, in the lobby. We struggled 40 more minutes to find a cab, but based on his attitude I’d rather wait on the street than reserve a room from his establishment. Whole I understand it’s not his responsibility, I hope the women in his life don’t have a similar situation and encounter someone like him.

NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL!! RUDE PERSON AT THE DESK

This employee of this hotel refused to even let us in with a rainstorm outside at 1:00 am, fully booked hotels and no taxis around.

My wife and I have been travelling from another part of the world for 40 hours straight, exhausted and desperate to get home. Unfortunately, our taxi was cancelled and we got stuck in Ventimiglia train station at 1 am. Some couple tried to help us by getting a taxi - but it was impossible. At least someone tried.

We approached this hotel hoping to stay for the night and to get any help, the one we normally do to others. The guy opened the door and said that there is only 1 room for 1 person available and he wont help us. Sadly, we went away again seeking for taxi and hotels available. But they were all booked completely. We came once more to seek for help from him but he was unwilling to do anything, seeing how we suffered under the rain searching for any free hotel, even that he had a 1 pax room available. We havent crossed the line anywhere.

I hope this person will receive help from a stranger in a difficult situation.

The person on the front desk was rude and unreasonable and did not understand a word of English. There were 3 of us and he gave us a 2 people room and demanded one of us leave. He took the payment before and refused to refund it. When one of us decided to sit in the lobby so only 2 of us were at the room at a time, he wanted to throw the one person out of the hotel. We had a train at 4 AM from the station and only needed to stay in the hotel for a few hours but he made it impossible for us to stay and we eventually managed to get a refund and leave. The location is very convenient but I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!
