Hotel Brancamaria in Cala Gonone

Everything at this hotel was incredible. From the staff, to the services and the pool. One of the most beautiful pools I have had the pleasure of swimming in with a stunning view. I would 10/10 recommend staying here!

This was our second time staying here- we loved it just as much as the first, the hotel is super clean and the food was delicious! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and Cala Gonone is simply stunning. We will be back!

The hotel is a good and clean place to stay. However, it takes about 20 minutes on foot to reach the beach (downhill on the way there, and a slow climb back up). There is a hotel shuttle service, but only until 7 PM. Unfortunately, almost everything comes with an extra charge, even pool towels or using the shuttle after 7 PM.

What I can highly recommend, though, is the guided boat tour with Luca – a fantastic trip along the most beautiful beaches on the east coast.

Breakfast was okay, but nothing special.

We visited Brancamaria in 2021 and 2025. We had a very pleasant stay and would like to warmly thank all the staff for their kindness and professionalism — everyone was welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. We especially appreciated the amazing swimming pool, which was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. We only had lunch and dinner at the hotel, and while the food was generally good, the highlight of our experience was definitely the hospitality and the relaxing environment. The best in Cala Gonone is that you can have amazing beaches with "aqua venere" at only a few kilometres from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for single, adults only and for families with kids ! We look forward to coming back!

100% recommend this hotel. We absolutely loved our stay. We went for a week but wished we had done 10’days instead. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, you couldn’t fault it. Definitely recommend the boat trip the hotel organise too - this was incredible and they take you directly there and pick you up, we also paid extra for lunch to be provided which was also delicious The town is lovely, so calm and beautiful and so clean! Will definitely be coming back!

The hotel is very clean and the staff at the reception is very welcoming and helpful! Breakfast is average. Parking is 15 euros per day but you can find free parking on the street nearby.
The hotel is about 1.3km away from the port and there is a shuttle bus taking you there every hour from 9:30am to 7pm. It is walkable, but you have to climb up the hill when you walk back.
Our room is facing the main road and some motorbikes were very noisy.
It’s also interesting that they charge (around 2 euros) for refilling your water bottle, claiming this is to help the environment while you can buy a bottle of water less than 1 euro in a shop. We stayed in a different hotel and they have similar policies. I feel this is making money in the name of environmental protection. If it’s really for environment protection, I would suggest to offer free refilling.

We recently spent 10 days at Brancamaria and it was perfect from start to finish. Loved the hotel and although the rooms only have Juliet balconies (which we knew when we booked), they weren't an issue at all. Our room was spacious and clean. The food was delicious and encouraged us to try new things. There's not an evening buffet, you choose your evening meal in the morning. I have to say, we preferred it this way. We ate well and didn't overindulge. This brings me to the staff.......they were absolutely amazing. Friendly and always there to help. I think there are a few places that could learn a thing or two from the staff at hotel Brancamaria. I have to say, it's the best service we've experienced in all our travels in UK and abroad. A huge thank you to you all for helping to make our stay in Sardinia, one to remember and for looking after us so well 10/10

A lovely hotell, with even better staff, superB service and always with a smile, based just in the hill of the town, lovely area. …the food both for breakfast and dinner, was lovely, tasty and a new twist every night…………………..We will come back

Hotel Brancamaria exceeded my expectations during my stay in Cala Gonone. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing a detailed map explanation that made exploring the area a breeze. While the breakfast was satisfactory, the comfortable accommodations and prime location (not so prime) more than made up for it. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Brancamaria for a memorable stay in this beautiful coastal town. Huge thanks to the receptionist for their outstanding hospitality!

The hotel is nice, close to the pier, parking is convenient, and the staff are friendly. However, please note that you must specify the number of people when booking a room. The hotel price will be calculated based on the number of people staying, and children over 2 years old will also be charged extra.
