I have never in my life experienced anything like Maison d’Enri. The owner, falsely accused us of damaging property, then illegally charged €5,000 to the credit card without a word. When confronted, she screamed, acted aggressively, and even tried to assault someone in my (caught on video). With police present, she lied repeatedly and “forgot” the password to the security cameras, which she obviously had access to. Later, she attempted to steal another €3,500 from the card but luckily we had blocked it through our bank. Staff are terrified of her, and one security guard was fired on the spot simply for being kind to us and realising what was happening was wrong. This is not hospitality — it’s a scam. The owner, her son, and certain staff work together to intimidate and rob guests. I’m genuinely traumatised. If you value your safety, dignity, and money i beg you to NEVER stay here. EVER. !! DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!

Lack of mirror in the room ( only in bathroom ).
Lack of daylight in the room no windows ( only glass in the doors )
No hot water on three mornings out of seven. ( Soon fixed but very inconvenient )
Tried to move us to another hotel on our final night as they were double booked, but we refused to move.

The day before ous stay we were informed that they had no room for us the first day. The alternative they offered was not an option in any way. The staff at the hotel was most friendly, but how this was managed is not nice on a planned vacation. Moscitos in and outside the room in the bottom of the building, a bit damp and not easy to sleep when the aircondition didnt work one night, but the outside garden was wonderful. Amazing breakfast, great poolarea. The charge of the minibar at the bill of 20 euro even if it was not used was seen when we had left, really not ok.

Please do not book this place if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the pool and outdoor areas forget it all the sun loungers were broken the pool was filthy ,so bad you wouldn't get in.if you like a nice cold beer while sitting in the sun forget it they didn't have any,if you want to go to the outdoor bar forget that too was not open it was a storage room for the outdoor cushions this was the beginning of September .he smell from our room was damp and musty ,when we complained and asked for a different room we were told no other rooms were available and they would spray the room with air freshener .we reluctantly stayed that night but when we got up in the morning to find ants in the bed we immediately went to reception and asked for a refund for the 2nd night as there was no way on earth were we going to stay , we spoke to the owner who told us to leave and get out when I told him I wanted a refund and was going to leave an honest review with pictures. Please do not waste your hard earned money on this place .

I had booked a room at that property , with Booking, and the day that i arrived they have cancelled it because they said they couldn’t take the money from my card. i had talked with them a day before to resolve the problem, because i got a notice that they can’t withdraw the money, i asked to give me a different option ( they said i didn’t put the cvc number on the payment, but that option was not available on booking when i tried to pay, the other card details were all there) they said just to update and its ok and the next morning when i had the flight i saw that they have cancelled the room and nothing else could be done! I had no other option because the reservation was made in advance and i had to look for another reservation on the day of the arrival, and all the other options that i liked were all booked so i had to settle with the options left for my vacation because they didn’t care! The stuff did nothing to help me, they just said they can’t do anything for me…the manager i talked to is Francesco and he just said that the payment is automatic and the booking was cancelled…i was looking forward for that option at that property because i didn’t want to stay in the town and thats exactly what happened…i expected solutions for the problem because its not what you expect and prepare for vacation!

I’m reviewing it average as I am reviewing it as a family who stayed there and not a couple. I do feel this should be advertised as a bed and breakfast or guest house and not a hotel so I found the website and images slightly misleading. Firstly, the setting and grounds are beautiful, they are kept very well and you do feel like you are in the middle of nowhere (despite the ants). The room was clean and spacious and decor very tasteful. The breakfast was beautifully presented and staff very friendly. (The breakfast is especially great if you have a sweet tooth). Sadly this was not the hotel for us as a family, we were not aware that food and drink is not served throughout the day and even from 4pm when the bar was open for drinks there was no one around (both guests and staff) so the atmosphere was missing for us. It’s forbidden to bring your own food and drink in (states on the bedroom sign) so the days were a little impossible to relax there. The pool was great and our girls loved it but our baby couldn’t crawl on the floor due to the amount of ants (which wasn’t fault of the owners but we found it very difficult). This hotel is suited more for couples who are looking to get up and leave after breakfast for a day of exploring.

I went to Maison d'Enri with a group of friends and inspite of the rainy weather, we had the most welcoming, luxury experience we could have. From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure we have been cuddled by Carla, the owner, in the most amazing way. Food at breakfast and at dinner was authentic pleasure for our taste buds, wine was unique and the boutique selling dresses and necklaces drove all of us nuts. But what I loved most was the silence, the relaxing atmoshpere and the spectacular smell of trees and flowers. The place is not a hotel as such, but a great combination between a Masseria and a luxury villa and it is where you really get the spirit of a place... but don't tell too many peple, we don't want to get it spoiled by mass tourism.

I had a great experience at Maison d’Enri. The staff was super friendly! The room was big and really comfy, the breakfast was very good and the venue is well connected to Gallipoli and other beaches of the area. It was a great value for the money we spent and we’ll definitely come back. You can easily bump into three funny dachshunds around breakfast time :)

I stayed here for 3 nights. Nice location with lots of green and relaxing or reading areas.
I think that the rooms are quite spacious and nicely decorated.
Breakfast is nice too, but on the first day nobody told us that we could order some extra too, pity!
All in all a good experience but I missed the WOW effect.

OLD REVIEW
I didn't stay at this location, but I wanted to get info regarding the possibility of booking a room for my next holidays in Salento for September 2018. I wrote the first email on the 12th of December 2017 to which I received an incomplete answer on the 15th of January. I asked for more info as their answer was "the price depends on the room you choose" without giving any more details. I wrote them back on the 15th of January and still no answer. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ever! A really good way to loose a client.
