Helios Hotel in Crotone

I want to share my wonderful experience at this horrible, supposedly 4-star hotel.
Stay date: 12/08/25 to 19/08/25. Description: Rooms are totally unacceptable. They show you photos of the renovated rooms and then give you the worst ones. The first day, the door handle broke in room 216, and then I changed rooms to 214. I had requested a crib, which, after several complaints, was provided. The room was tiny for 2 adults and 3 children. Then, upon entering the room, we saw the completely horrible bathroom. The exhaust noise was horrendous, every time you used it, you could hear it whistling through the pipes. The extractor fan was out of order, but after several attempts to complain, it was replaced. The shower door was completely ruined, the folding one, and the handle was broken. The mirror had a neon light. I'll show you the photos. Now, let's move on to the furnishings. I requested a double bed, but they pushed two single beds together. The TV was sitting on rough plasterboard, and on the side, we found a non-compliant power strip, the kind you get from the Chinese.
My key broke in the lock, another nightmare. The morning receptionist told me to take the key out yourself because everyone was on vacation and it would be a problem. In the end, thanks to a restaurant waiter who volunteered for maintenance, the problem was solved.
The air conditioning was old, never cleaned, and only 20% functional.
They don't clean the terraces and windowsills.
True four-star.
The only thing that saves this hotel is the restaurant.
At least that was good.
I recommend everyone send me a video of the room you're renting before booking, so you don't get scammed.
