Hotel Gran Duca in Briatico

I went with my family to spend a day at the pool.
Highly recommended for those looking to relax in a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere.
We'll definitely be back to try the food.

A hotel with a swimming pool, pizzeria and restaurant just a few steps from the sea, the specialty is chicken cooked in a wood oven, I would say sublime.

We only came for the restaurant, that being said I came here about 4 times during my stay in Calabria this year and I can’t wait to come another 40 times over the next few years.
I’ve been lucky enough to have pizza all over Italy and this is easily in my top 3 pizzas of all time.
As for the calzone, I ordered it with 4 cheese and nduja inside and it’s without a doubt the best calzone I’ve ever had, and will have.
Can’t wait to come again next year, special shoutout to the waiters they are fantastic and well trained 10/10

We only had dinner, not stayed, and we really appreciated the welcome, the friendliness of the staff, the availability, and the service on time. The starters were excellent, the roast chicken was beautifully tender and the dessert, pizza with Nutella was out of this world. One of the girls who served us was really helpful even though there were 2 parties. He served everyone and made no one lack anything. Every half hour he brought us water, asked us if we wanted some fruit and some digestives. Truly impeccable service. And he was incredibly friendly 😀 he made us feel at home! I would give 10 STARS!!!!!

We stayed in this resort last week. Nice decently maintained village, surrounded by well-kept greenery. It goes without saying that the sea is stupendous, a natural aquarium... It is not immediately as high as in other places in Calabria as the beach is in an entire inlet of the village even if it is not large. Animation very nice, good and efficient. The most positive thing is the food, EXCELLENT cuisine.. All good in quantity and quality with a lot of choice between fish and meat at the buffet. The only negative note is the accommodation in the old part of the village where we stayed, the fixtures and especially the mattress should be revisited. But overall the price/quality ratio is also very good. I recommend it to anyone who wants to rest, enjoy the sea and eat a lot...!!!!

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights and found everything magnificent. Antonio and his mother are fantastic and very hospitable people. The room was very comfortable and clean. The clear swimming pool. The restaurant is also excellent and the staff exceptional. An experience that we will repeat as soon as possible.

If you are looking for accommodation 500 meters from the sea, quiet and suitable for children, this hotel is for you. The staff is very welcoming and ready to intervene in any unexpected situation. Magnificent view and large swimming pool. The attached restaurant is very good and the prices are modest. Accessible to disabled people. I'll be back!
