Hotel La Maggioressa in Ischia Town

10/10 experience. Great services and amenities like thermal water, a cute gattini, a bar, and breakfast+dinner. My wife and I only stayed for one night, but it was great, I seriously recommend. They even gave us a ride to/from the port. If language is a concern, don’t worry, the main staff speak English.. pretty well too.

Beautiful hotel with the friendliest, most caring family offering warm hospitality. Delicious breakfasts and dinners, great location in a quiet location. Lovely, air conditioned rooms, many with great views. Very highly recommended

I vacationed at this property in August 2023, one of my very first vacations with my boyfriend. It's truly a place I hold dear. The property is beautiful and family-run. The rooms are small but spotless, with air conditioning. Ours and many others had a small terrace or balcony, sometimes shared. I have wonderful memories of Franz, his mother, and his father, Pasquale. The breakfast was very generous, with a sweet and savory buffet. There was also a small café that made fresh coffee, cappuccinos, and more. The food was delicious; we tried the first and second courses prepared by Franz himself.

First of all, special thanks to our host, Franz. We were received with so much hospitality and warmth in their family establishment.
The breakfast was an authentic Italian culinary experience and it was included in the room’s price.
Franz offered us guidance, fresh lemonade and fulfilled every request of ours. This place is truly amazing from the architecture to the overall management. We felt like home and we will definetly recommend and return.

Unforgettable stay in Ischia with our friend Franz! We were lucky enough to stay in this hotel in Casamicciola, where the welcome was simply extraordinary. A special thanks to the legendary Franz and his entire family, who made us feel at home right away with their kindness, helpfulness and a rare sweetness to find. From the welcome with a delicious homemade lemonade, we felt welcomed by the warmth of being with family. The cuisine was a real treat: with half board we ate divinely every day, with authentic flavors and dishes prepared with love. The rooms, although simple, were clean and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. And what about the natural thermal water pool? A real panacea for body and mind. We will definitely be back, because here you are not just guests... you really feel at home. Franz, keep it up, putting in all the love and passion that make this place special! Hotel Maggiorezza is the cutest little family-run hotel you can find on Ischia. It has a stunning inner garden filled with beautiful, lush plants that make the whole place feel like a peaceful oasis.

The hosts are honestly the best ever – so warm, welcoming, and truly make you feel at home. One of the absolute highlights is dining at the hotel itself. The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor, made with love by a talented chef who knows how to bring authentic Italian dishes to life. It’s seriously some of the best food I had on the island.

The pool water might look a little green at first, but don’t let that fool you – it’s natural spring water, refreshed daily, and completely chlorine-free. It’s actually thermal water, which is amazing for your skin. Especially in the evening, taking a dip in the warm pool is pure bliss.

Such a special place – we would come back in a heartbeat!

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The owners/staff are friendly and helpful, the building is nice with small terraces and places to sit. The thermal pool is really a bonus! The building and rooms might need renovation in some places but the value for money is still great and it has everything you need. The breakfast is good and dinner even better!

Wonderful experience. I was sadly only able to stay 2 out of the 4 nights I’d booked as the ferries from Naples were cancelled due to the wind. I booked half board, which was extremely good value. Lovely coffee and a great selection of food for breakfast and the dinner was authentic Italian and really plentiful. The thermal pool was truly wonderful and a definite highlight. Franz and his mother were extremely welcoming and helpful, and lq maggioressa really seemed like a home from home. I’d love to stay again. Thank you 🙏

A perfect little getaway spot. Charming, authentic, peaceful,… pretty much everything we could’ve hoped for. La Maggioressa is run by an incredibly welcoming family that made us feel at home the second we walked in after our tiring journey there. The hotel manager is very professional and takes every request you have to heart. If a luxury resort is what you’re looking for, then it might not be for you, but if you want to have the feeling of coming home to a warm and inviting family hotel, it doesn’t get better than this. The manager asked us not to give a perfect review since there is always room for improvement, but it would feel disingenuous to not give this experience 5/5.

Such a lovely hotel, really accommodating staff and clean room! Definitely coming back next year & it is walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. They made me feel very welcoming and due to me being on my own I was quite nervous but settled in very quick. It’s such a beautiful island 100% recommend.
