What an amazing place. Spotless clean, ample space in rooms, beautiful patios, terrace and pool views are incredible ! Breakfast is plentiful, varied and fresh. The location is my favourite of the entire island. It is quiet and picturesque yet close enough to walk/drive to dinner. The best part of this stay is Feliciana! Her enthusiasm and bright smile made my day! (As well as little Bomba!) A wealth of information, she is prompt and professional. All of the staff at this hotel are incredibly kind. I can't wait to return! Thank you xo

I had the pleasure of staying here for 7 nights and it was absolutely amazing! The views were breathtaking. The staff Feliciana and Emanuele were very helpful and polite. They reserved transportation and gave great restaurant recommendations. Peaceful, serene and very quiet rooms. Walkable to the castle and a few restaurants which was nice.

We had a great time at this hotel.
The room overlooked the coast, it was in walking distance to Ischia Ponte, the staff were really helpful. Perfect stay. Would highly recommend.

Very Friendly Staff! The rooms are pretty old, but clean. The bed and furniture need to be redone. The refrigerator did not work. The food at the bistro was really good and the view is spectacular. The breakfast was blah. Also, make sure you ask about the deal with the beach club down below. Totally worth it.

I spent five relaxing days here. Everyone on the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and I love when hotels breakfasts feature local flavors. Here, fresh Italian cheeses, tomatoes and pastries were provided daily. The views from the hotel were spectacular. The hotel has a small pool and lounge chairs, which I enjoyed using one day. On another day the staff arranged a discounted rate for the hotel across the street that offered a day pass to their pools and beach. The number 12 and 13 bus basically start )or end) at the hotel so they were generally close to their scheduled departure time. I took a taxi for €18 from Ischia Porto on arrival but took the bus to the port on departure, which was very easy.

The location was amazing — you really can’t beat it. Make sure to book a room with a sea view, it’s totally worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful too, always making sure we had everything we needed.It was a nice experience overall, thank you.

Wonderful Stay – Warm Service and Stunning Views

The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The sea view upgrade is absolutely worth it – waking up to that panorama is unforgettable. Breakfast is pleasantly varied for Italy. A peaceful, feel-good place on a lovely island.

The location is ideal for nature lovers and explorers – with scenic hiking trails winding through nearby vineyards and offering breathtaking views. The charming old town and historic castle are just a short walk away, perfect for cultural strolls and sunset visits.

Spent 5 nights here in July after an amazing week at a resort in Forio. I was worried Hotel Don Felipe wouldn’t measure up, but wow, was I wrong! The view? Absolutely jaw-dropping. You won’t find a better sight over Cartaromana Bay and Castello Aragonese – waking up to that every day felt like living in a postcard.

The service was fantastic, with the lovely receptionist booking sunbeds for us almost daily. Parking our scooters? Super easy, right outside the hotel!

A big shoutout to the cleaning staff – I’ve never met such cheerful people! There was a bit of a language barrier, but you didn’t need words to see how sweet and kind-hearted they were.

Overall, Hotel Don Felipe made our first trip to Ischia unforgettable. Hope to come back next year and maybe bring some friends!

Great location , very clean and comfortable and staff very helpful. Rooms air conditioned with balcony and views of the fortress. Short walk into town for dinner and good location to explore Ischia. Small, quiet hotel, would definitely return.

Wow, where to begin. We spent 2 nights here and every second was perfection. Whilst it is in a quieter area you can walk to the castle in 15 mins and either catch a bus or taxi to Ischia Porto. Taxi is a standard rate of €15. The views are breathtaking, the hotel is so clean and staff will go above and beyond for you. The breakfast and lunch were tasty and the limoncello spritz made to perfection! The Porte has great nightlife and we took a taxi to Negombo Spa for €30 which was just incredible. The beach clubs directly opposite are also well worth it and you get a slight discount. Overall our stay was a dream, Ischia has our heart and Don Felipe would be our chosen spot every time if we chose to return! Thank you so much !
