Hotel Celeste in Procida Island

I stayed here two nights with my family. The first impression is positive because the hotel has a nice welcoming structure and is in a good location a few steps from Chiaiolella beach. However, the structure of the rooms is dated and perhaps needs a refresh. Quadruple room with a really small bathroom where it is difficult for two to move around. I didn't put any clothes in the wardrobes because they had a bad 'closed' smell and in addition to the smell they had a lot of dust. Double bed mattress very thin and hard. The breakfast offered is not bad but nothing special. Positive is the fact that there is a bar inside the structure and a vending machine with snacks and drinks. I found the room quiet and cool despite the very hot days. In general, however, I don't think that the price is proportionate to the quality / cleanliness of the structure.

Disappointed, cell like room with hard bed and screeching bathroom fan. Indifferent reception. Poor scant breakfast. Short walk to beach and bus stop at the end of street to port and beach. To say the island is tiny, taxi fares varied wildly, agree a fare first.

The only positive thing is the location a stone's throw from the bus stop and the beach, the structure has potential but is not well maintained, not clean and the furniture is poor. Our drab room, windowless curtains, scratches on the walls, hair stuck to the floor and bedside table, the dirty bathroom, spattered white tiles, brown in color, stuck dirt, unidentified. The hair dryer with the dirty and sticky handle. I have seen women cleaning the floors of three rooms with the same water and without first sweeping, leaving their hair on the ground. Decent breakfast but bad service. I could go on but I think it can be enough.
