A ddurmì in Naples

I would have been kinder with my review if this place hadn’t been so inconceivably deceptive. Don’t get me wrong it’s got potential. But as of this review here are the facts about it.

First of all it is not a hotel or a b&b. False advertising on both fronts. We show up and there was nobody there to great us. The building security guard said he would call the proprietor over. He shows up and hands us keys to our room. There is no 24 hour reception. No room cleaning. No breakfast either. Also if you’re going to run a hostel, learn some languages other than Italian. No communication in english, no French etc…

The complimentary espresso machine is hanging on for dear life and barely works. The cleanliness is questionable at best. There is so much noise on the street that you won’t be able to sleep, thats assuming you can drown out the noise of the AC unit which is like a jet engine above your head. Good luck trying to turn it off as it has a mind of its own.

This place is a hostel. A pretty bad one at best. Extremely overpriced considering the lack of amenities.

Only thing this place has going for it is the location. But it’s not worth it st this price point.

This is not a B&B or a hotel. It is more of a hostel. The entry way/lobby was in terrible condition and run down. There was never anyone there working so we couldn’t ask for anything or get any help. The room itself is tiny and everything is very cheap. The pillow was so flat it might as well have been a place mat and they had put on a brand new pillowcase that had never been washed so it was scratchy we had to cover them in our t-shirts since we couldn’t ask the staff for different pillowcases since they weren’t ever at the “hotel.” The sheets were cheap and transparent. The best thing about this place is it’s proximity to Pizzeria Da Michele.
