La Maurella in Praiano

We would very much recommend La Maurella! The location (and view) was ideal - close to the bus stop and water taxis to access Positano and Amalfi. However, Praiano is a lovely spot to stay with great restaurants and beautiful spots to explore. We can't say enough about the staff at the B&B....super awesome!!!

I am reluctantly writing this review because I selfishly would love to keep this gem of a BnB to myself. What an experience.

This was the best stay of my life. Not only is the town perfect and quaint but everything else was 10/10.

Michele, the host, was so helpful. My girlfriend and I arrived after a long day of travel and asked for restaurant recommendations. Michele promptly called a car for us, and we arrived at a local restaurant with a reserved table over looking the water.

We wanted to rent mopeds, 10 minutes after telling Michele there was a car waiting to take us to rent them.

The breakfasts were spectacular with fresh baked goods, amazing cappuccinos, an array of fruits, yogurts, eggs, and sliced meats.

Truly a spectacular experience from start to finish. With the landscape of the coast the real differentiator here was the service which was the best I had in Italy and better than anything experienced in the states. I could not recommend this place more.

The location is excellent, with convenient gated parking right by the main road. The room was very clean, quiet, and had a great shower. We enjoyed the balcony with its lovely sea view. There are two restaurants within a minute's walk, though you need to walk near the cars on the main road. The pool was heated. Michele was incredibly kind and helpful, offering great suggestions for daily activities, including options for rainy days.

The only downside was the very firm mattress, where we could feel the springs. However, the staff quickly added two foam toppers and blankets, which made it better, but still not that comfortable. Also, there’s no elevator, but Michele kindly carried our luggage to the room.

A Perfect Stay on the Amalfi Coast – La Maurelle

Our stay at La Maurelle on the Amalfi Coast was an unforgettable experience! The location is simply stunning, nestled on a hillside with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty of the coast.

The villa itself was very comfortable and tastefully designed, with modern amenities that made our stay easy and enjoyable. The infinity pool was a standout feature – ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, providing a great space to relax after a long day.

What truly made our stay exceptional was the service, especially from the manager, Michaele. He was incredibly attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. Whether it was arranging transportation, recommending local restaurants, or offering advice on the best sights to see, Michaele was always there with a smile, making our stay feel personal and welcoming.

Overall, La Maurelle is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic retreat on the Amalfi Coast, and Michaele’s hospitality truly made our visit special. We can't wait to return!

We stayed for two nights at La Maurella in a sea view room. Although the room was quite small, it was well-designed. The staff were incredibly welcoming and good in English. Michelle, our host, was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants. There’s also a heated pool outside with four sun beds downstairs, and the view was definitely the highlight of our stay.

However, there are a few drawbacks:

The room was much smaller than it appeared in the photos.

The shower in our room didn’t work properly. The water flow was very weak, and it was extremely hot, regardless of how much we tried to adjust it. We informed the host, but it seemed like this was a known issue.

The breakfast was disappointing. Given the availability of fresh, local produce in the area, it was surprising that nothing local was served—even the bread was from frozen bakery goods.

The rooms have poor soundproofing—you can hear almost everything from the neighboring room.

For the price, the service didn’t quite match the expectation. Although it's marketed as a luxury relais, it is actually more like a boutique hotel.

We have a great time staying at this family operated stay! It was homey, and Mike the manager was very accommodating, gave good recommendations, he also asked if we were doing well every time he saw us, they also arranged a transfer from the Napoli airport, and anywhere we needed to go! The breakfast that was served had lots of options and was yummy. If we do come back, we would love to stay here again!

Superb place , views are stunning it’s very clean & modern & the staff are genuinely nice people who help you with everything you need for your stay. It’s as good as some 5 star hotels.

I really can't recommend highly enough! Staff are ever so friendly and go the extra mile. Very clean. Amazing views and also a private pool... Which is heated ! 🙀 Fantastico!!

A very nice place to stay in Praiano, would highly recommend it. Michele, the manager, was super friendly and helpful. He gave us tips on where to go, explained everything to us, did some restaurant reservations etc...

Great place with sea view, Pool is amazing. breakfast incredible. Just love the place. Oh and you get to make new friends called cats

Enjoyed the location, the services, everything about this "B & B". Praino is one of the smaller towns along the coast, but therefore less busy. It is close to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello so a perfect place to enjoy the Amalfi Coast. Besides the cheese, cold cuts, juices, yogurt, rolls, cereals, eggs, we enjoyed pastries baked by the owner. Michele gave us any tourist info. we needed. The weather for the week was printed out every day. Ask for the upstairs corner room, but all the others are also lovely.
