Every room detail wisely arranged, breakfast very good! Bus 49 to metro and center of Rome, very convenient!
The rooms are outdated, but it is clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is nice. It is conveniently located 10 minutes' walk from the subway station and has gated parking!
Not a 4 stars hotel! we paid 100 euros extra for a supliment bed for 3 days a little boy of 4y old. We had 2 extra beds, both terrible!! like broken in half. Breakfast was fine. Location of the hotel is a disaster, very dirty and with bad ppl.
Price/quality - adequate. For short-term stay - a great option!)
Super clean, breakfast was great! Staff were so friendly and helpful , close enough to subway , grocery store and pharmacy
I didn't like it very much High price for the quality of the hotel

An absolutely gorgeous place to stay. The view? Breathtaking. I have to stay longer than one night next time. The service is superb. Contanzo was the one who checked me in and out. They called a taxi for me and everything was so smooth. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I have to visit again.
The hotel is in an excellent location, with views of the Tomb of Victor Emmanuel and part of the Forum. Our room was plush, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast in the restaurant was also a highlight — I had perfectly poached eggs on toast and enjoyed sampling the selection of pastries brought to our table. However, there were some service gaps that stood out, especially given the price point. When...
Excellent Guest Service I had a truly enjoyable stay at this hotel—everything from the ambiance to the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly and professional, and the overall experience was very comfortable. What really stood out to me, though, was the care and attention I received even after checking out. I had lost an item and reached out for help. Although it wasn’t found, I want to give...
The overall rating is a 4.5 star hotel. They try to reach 5 stars in all aspects. There are no major problems, but they are always a little bit short. The room size is OK, the design is good, but it is a bit dark. The pillows and bed are quite comfortable, and there are different pillows (pillow menu) to choose from. The air conditioner is a little slow to cool down. The facilities are well maintained...
The hotel has a wonderful location—right in the heart of many major attractions and within walking distance to everything. Every single member of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; thanks to them, I felt safe even though I was traveling alone. I would like to thank each one of them individually. As a constructive comment, I believe the hotel’s physical conditions could be improved; some...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this 5-star hotel, and I must say, it was truly an unforgettable experience! The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was nothing short of perfection. The rooms were luxurious, clean, and impeccably decorated, with stunning...

The hotel is in an excellent location, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff are extremely friendly, especially those in the restaurant and breakfast room. It's a shame that the recent renovations have caused some unpleasant minor inconveniences.
While the hotel is in a good location (5 mins away from metro stop Policlinico) there were several issues. Original room booked was not correct, when a replacement was given it was still being cleaned and was told to wait 30 minutes despite it being later afternoon well after check in time. Several amenities were broken or not replenished in the bathroom. My advice calling ahead just to confirm the...
This accommodation is located 1.2km from Rome Termini Station. There are small cafes nearby due to the university. However, there are no convenience stores around between 9 and 10 PM. Simple drinks can be purchased from the vending machine on the lower floor.
The location wasn't as bad as I thought, and the staff were friendly. However, the shower room was too small.
Wifi is to slow and reception not friendly.
It is perfect for us. The staff Alessio serve us with genuine and very proactive attitude ! Wonderful italiano service The hotel is refurbished and very new now. Much better than last time. Location is perfect. 2 stops from Termini station.

Great staff at the front desk. Very upbeat and friendly. Also, the staff was able to handle the chaos in the lobby with ease. Impressive. However, there is one young girl in the restaurant that seems pretty angry with the world. I felt like an inconvenience to be seated by her or to ask questions of her. No friendly smile. And, she wasn’t nice to the young man that tended the bar area. Overall,...
I was impressed with the courtesy of the front desk staff, the convenience of the hotel location and comfort of the rooms.
Pictures look nicer than reality. Our bathroom ceiling had a leak and no door. It just had a folding that you were expected to move every time you wanted to access the bathroom. Room was extremely hot. In November, they can’t put the AC on so we had to sleep with the windows open and it was very loud. The hotel is under renovation. Staff was kind, but we didn’t sleep much.
The room in the annex building did not match the ones on the site. The furniture had visible stains as well. This is a solid (3) star hotel because of its close proximity to walk to everything but it is not a 4 star property (at least not in its current semi renovated state). Our room was on the 1st floor and it was exceptionally noisy & our bathroom toweled were frayed/damaged. I decided not to focus...
This is a convenient place to stay in Monti, near convenient stores and very good restaurants. (Go around the corner and eat at La Taverna Dei Monti. You won't regret it.) Our room was spacious and comfortable, though the bathroom was a bit dark for a lady trying to do her makeup. It was a nice set up for us as a couple, but a family trying to share with any modesty would be difficult. Italian hotels...
Well located, about a 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain which has restaurants, and shopping all around it. Staff was great and you can store your luggage if you get there before check in time. They stored ours and had them in our room when we were able to check in. I would recommend this hotel and if I ever go back to Rome I would stay here again. The only thing for some reason if your room is in the...

This hotel was clean, had friendly helpful and attentive staff and was quiet and comfortable.
Great hotel in a very good location for walking to the old town and great restaurants.
I stayed at the Virgilio 7 nights with my family and it was fantastic. The accomidations, service, staff and food were all amazing!!! Definitely would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!!!!
Highly recommend this hotel. The central location made it super easy to walk into town. We had chairs rented at a separate beach club through family so we didn't use the hotel beach but I'm sure it was great. The pool is beautiful and quiet and the rooms were clean and well appointed.
Terrible room!! Everything was good except the room it was like and attic! You hit your head and there is one round window. Terrible for being a great hotel.
Elegant, very friendly staff, fabulous breakfast, wonderful swimming pool. Excellent room cleanup daily. Very close to all the beach fun. Massage therapist transported me to a nother dimension! Excelente location, great breakfast, but some stuff very rude.
Excellent location with great connectivity—bus stop just a 5-minute walk away. The Trevi Fountain is also very close, only about a 10-minute walk. Overall, an excellent experience and highly recommended.
The location is super convenient, almost all attractions are within walking distance. Hotel security is quite strict, and they manage who comes in and out tightly. Although the room isn't huge, it has a balcony and the bathroom is spacious. Overall, it was a great experience.
The hotel is in a great location. The staff is wonderful. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the Pantheon is practically right next door. The quality of the mattresses and pillows could be improved, and the breakfast could be a bit more varied. But overall, we were satisfied with the hotel.
The location is fantastic, especially for first-time visitors looking to hit all the major attractions, with many popular spots nearby. Being within the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), it's perfect for walking.
Very good location. Super friendly staff. Check-in and check-out process is very fast. Hotel is a bit old but doesn't matter too much as I wasn't in the room a lot of the time. Overall very good experience.

Hotel is in a great location, was happy to be upgraded to a suite which was nice. The room was large and modern. Hotel is noisy with other guests but we are in the city so expected. Would stay again.
The staff are warm and friendly. Ther elevator in the hotel is unique which requires manual closing a good experience. Sephora MAC and Kiki Milano are all nearby  Spanish steps as well. Zara men outlet and many other Branded goods shops nearby.
The room was spotless, the staff was great and rooms were large. I didn’t like the fact that it was an Amex building at first but that building was better located than the first building
Glenn and Mike were both fantastic at breakfast. Glenn was full of sights and information, and Mike was just spot on pleasant. On our last day after check-out, Fredrico stood with us in the rain until we got a cab to the airport. It was a wonderful stay!
Excellent hotel Nice room decor, bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows, fast Wi-Fi, close to all the sights, restaurants, and shops, decent breakfasts. The only minor drawback: there are no outlets near the beds, only USB, which is a bit outdated. Many chargers use either a Type-C or a wall outlet, so I had to charge my phone in a different outlet.
Breakfast was great with excellent service staff. Cant remember the name but he was a Filipino guy who has moved to Rome to work. Gave us some good tips of Rome and very knowledgeable. Loved the location right in the heart of Via Del Corso. Only issue was the hot water was not consistent and only works when we turn on the sink tap.

My favourite hotel in rome. Best location, service was greatt!!
Good location, but the hotel suffers from a humidity problem. The hallways are unwelcoming, the room isn't soundproofed, and one of the towels had a bloodstain. Furthermore, the breakfast was subpar. I don't understand the generally good reviews; at €250 a night, one clearly expects better.
I didn't expect rooms to be so scarce in Rome on weekends; I could only book this hotel for one night. Papillo was clean. Service was not always the best. Also, I have never been in a hotel with a mini bar that is totally empty. And no tea or coffee facilities in the room. Also be aware that apart from a supermarket and couple of shops in the same place, there is nothing to do nearby. Central Rome is at least half an hour away by vehicle.
Loved the shops around the hotel. Breakfast room.was hot and I found no food or coffee when I got to breakfast
We had a great stay at Papillo. Rooms were great, staff was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was awesome with Great selections of food. Bonus is shopping across the parking lot!
We are really glad we stayed in this Hotel on our business trip to Roma. We had no problem at all. Everything was good and also staff was nice and helpful. Thank you!
The hotel is very good and the rooms are neat and clean. The biggest problem is Air Cons. They had switched off the aircons, or maybe the council had switched it off. Best Hotel, friendly staf, clean and beautiful room, good quality breakfast and most important is the location, less than 5 minutes walk to Vatican and lots of good restaurant around. We will deff come back
Just an observation - the key card for the room sometimes becomes inoperable and it needs to be renewed at the reception. It happens more often than what is expected.
During the day, the hotel transforms into a pedestrian street. It's not far from the subway station and very conveniently located near the Vatican. A delicious restaurant is a 10-minute walk away, but the supermarket next door is quite expensive. I recommend buying food and water at the larger supermarket near the subway station.

The first room we occupied could use a little more care with decor and air flow. The hot water didn’t work the first few evenings but only in the AM.
Good hotel, but not easy to find a taxi or uber to bring you downtown. It took me almost 1h . But i heard public transport is good ( if you have less luggages)
I stayed two separate times in a span of a week in different rooms. The first stay the room was larger but had an ant issue and made the room feel dirty. However the second room I stayed in was clean but a bit smaller. Other than the ant issue I would stay at the hotel again as the buffet breakfast was very convenient for my stay.
Husk of former glory Hotel has seen better days and its just a downward spiral based on our visit. The area is walking distance from everything you need though, bus, restaurant, pharmacy and grocery store.
Property was ok not the worse but the best either. Breakfast was ok but limited selection.

There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and a convenience store at the gas station next door, which made getting around and grabbing quick meals quite convenient.
Everything was great but I thought there was a swimming pool
The hotel is actually very nice and large, but it's actually very far from the center of Rome, so for a tourist arriving in Rome without a car, you'll need at least an hour's drive on public transport. Other than that, if you're just looking for a relaxing trip, it's the perfect place. I should add that the hotel has a sports club on site, which has almost everything.
