Sightseeing: It's a good hotel for getting around as it's close to famous places.
Room: Even though I had a deluxe room, it was not a good room. Even though I paid 300,000 yen (1,875€) for 4 nights, there is no door between the room and the bathroom, only a thin screen. This is my first time in such a bad room.
I don't know if the door was broken or if it was designed like this on purpose, but even though it's a screen, the fabric is thin and you can clearly see what's going on in the bathroom, and there's a gap so if you sit on the toilet, you can walk into the room. Make eye contact with someone. The sound is completely audible. I used towels and clothes to cover up the visibility, but I didn't expect a hotel to make me pay 1875€ and go through such trouble.
The elevator also has no open/close button, making it difficult to use.
The only good thing was the airflow of the hair dryer.
I regret that I should have chosen a different hotel if something like this happened. I would like some money back.
It's my only regret of the trip.
Needless to say we were shocked - never ever happened to me before, especially not in 4 stats hotel.
The receptionist was indifferent, showed no empathy and did not try to help us at all. no one from the hotel management or security approached us, despite my repetitive request. so one one really tried even to address our complain. the only answer that we got is that we should go to the police station (also here, they gave us an address of 'closed' police station so we had to go to a different one, very late in the night) and then they will be able to check and come back to us. one week passed and we haven't heard anything.
Additionally, the cleaning of the hotel is very poor, I've attached 2 pictures from the bathroom : no paper to wipe nor sabon to wash the hand.
