Great place for the people who love nature, tranquility and the view was amazing. Some work needs to be done and they are doing the best of it. Iam sure I will be back.

It is a beautiful building, some people would find the lack of WIFI in the rooms as a negative, it didn’t bother me too much, the place was clean but it lacked a/c or fans, and you couldn’t leave the windows open because there were wasp around, it didn’t have hand soap but everything else was fine

Beautiful and rustic
This is a beautiful former monastery high up above Monterosso. You need to contact the hotel in advance to make a shuttle reservation and they will pick you up near the train station. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar. Most of the other guests were hikers from the trail between towns. We sat outside at sunset with a glass of wine, admiring the beautiful view. While there’s no Wi-Fi or AC in the rooms in the main building, it was very comfortable, clean and quiet. There were large windows we opened to let in the breeze. We stayed with our college age kids who loved the location.

Suitable for guests who come by car. I knew in advance that it was the accommodation area of ​​the ancient monastery. I got lost on the road and it was already 11:30 at night when I arrived. I contacted the hotel customer service in advance and knew that I would be late. They kindly told me the room number. When I really arrived, I wandered around in the yard for nearly an hour. I couldn't see clearly at night and my phone was out of battery. I was not sure that this was the place to stay. I groped my way through the "corridor" and didn't make myself sure that the doors on the side were the entrances to the rooms. Finally, I contacted the store through Ctrip and confirmed repeatedly. I checked in awkwardly. The room was quite clean and tidy, but it felt like I was living in a "deserted" place. The next morning, I woke up to the sound of the church bells 🔔, and opened the window to see the quiet yard, church, sea, bright sunshine, and pine trees. At breakfast, I found that it was full of people from all over the world, which completely swept away the impression of last night. It was a wonderful experience. Video 1 was taken last night after I finally checked in. Before that, I was just groping around in the dark here alone. Haha, it felt unique. The other videos were taken the next day, and they are pretty good.

The hotel is located on the mountain between the four and five villages of Cinque Terre and is a relay station for local hikers. The hotel is a renovation of the original monastery dormitory. Although the facilities are old, they are very clean. Compared with the accommodation in the fishing village by the sea, it is very cost-effective and the dinner is also great.
