Cherie Hotel in Verezzi

The Salvetto family and their employees are without exception gracious, friendly and most welcoming. Most guests return year after year, that says it all.

I spent many years at the Chérie. I fondly remember the courtyard with its tables and pool, the lobby with its surrealist paintings, the pool where I spent dozens of hours, the tavern where I played endless card games with friends over the summer, and the game room with arcade machines (it was the ultimate in the '90s!). Returning more recently, at least 12 years after my last visit, the staff still remembered me—and that says it all. Kindness and attention from days gone by. The furniture is ingenious for the limited space, with foldaway pieces. It's a little dated, admittedly, but nothing broken. The technology could be updated without losing the atmosphere (e.g., wall-mounted hairdryers, electric hobs replaced with more modern induction hobs). It's a residence, not a hotel, so you'll have to cook for yourself (focaccia shops, pastry shops, and supermarkets are just a few minutes' walk away).
Just steps away are both public and private beaches, the promenades of Pietra Ligure, Borgio, and, further inland, picturesque Verezzi; a few minutes' drive away is Finale Ligure and all the other towns along the Riviera.

Great price, very friendly staff, everything within walking distance: a supermarket, a pizzeria, and a market are all within a 5-minute walk. A great beach, with free entry, is also 5 minutes away. Children's entertainment, attractions, and the train station are about 10-15 minutes away. The hotel is quiet and soundproofed. There's a small playground and a great pool on the grounds. There's also a relaxation area. The room has absolutely everything for a comfortable stay. The furniture is outdated, but everything is very clean and tidy.

I recently returned from a 3-day stay with my faithful four-legged companion, and we had a wonderful time. They welcome dogs of all sizes, and their needs are taken into account. In fact, we had an apartment with a lovely, spacious balcony, so my big dog had plenty of room to roam. The apartment was clean and fully equipped. The location is quiet, on the border between Borgio and Pietra. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
