Hotel Gran Roc in Sestriere

The staffs were super helpful and the location is good for ski, they also have the free shuttle bus for all ski places

The hotel is in a fairly central location but they do run a shuttle service to the lifts which was very useful. The bar was lively at night and the restaurant was of a reasonable quality and was varied every night. The staff were all very helpful

Room was very clean and staff very friendly. The breakfast offering is decent similar to most hotels on the continent. The mini bus to the ski lifts is very reliable, I think it would be really great if it ran later into the evening.

The hotel is very nice, very clean and the staff are really helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean and spacious, but the mattresses are really hard. Even my kids complained as it made a decent nights sleep difficult. Given there are many reviews with similar comments I am surprised they have not done something about it. The room was comfortable & spacious, would probably benefit from having a couch given it was a suite. The mini bus to the slopes is a great service and very efficient, would be great if it ran a little later into the evening.

Overall the hotel is a good choice for skiing in Sestriere. Food: We booked through Crystal on a half board basis. Breakfast was a buffet style with continental and hot options available. Dinner included a salad/starter buffet, pasta/soup course followed by a meat/fish/vegetarian main meal and dessert. As Crystal guests, we were provided with a bottle of water and the option of fruit juice, however, this was not the case for other guests. Overall, we found the meals to be tasty however a few meals came as a surprise, but we put that down to getting lost in translation. Service: The staff were always helpful with a few requests throughout and would offer to make bookings or recommendations if you asked. Rooms: Modern, well heated, well equipped and generally clean. There was a walk-in wardrobe, kettle with tea facilities and mini fridge. Overall the hotel was quiet, however during the evenings the corridor noise did easily penetrate our room. Overall this was not an issue as by 11pm everyone seemed to go sleep. The hotel also had a heated boot room available to use for free which was a great way to start and finish the day and meant equipment did not need to be stored in your room. Location: The hotel is well-located with a 15 minute walk to the resort centre and a 10 minute walk to the nearest lift. There is a free shuttle that runs in the morning and afternoon to help you get to the slopes. This was run very efficiently and made the slopes accessible for anyone.

A good 3* Hotel.
Rooms were comfortable.
Breakfast was ok.
Evening Meal wasn’t always the best.
My kids were not impressed, service was sometimes slow.
Overall a decent week of skiing.

Very pleased with all aspects of the hotel. The rooms were very good and the beds comfortable with good pillows. Breakfast had a great selection, with the only complaint that the scrambled eggs were congealed. Apart from that, very good. We got 10% off our lift passes booking through the hotel. The hotel was modern and spotlessly clean. It was very enjoyable and we stayed in the hotel to eat for a couple of evenings and the food was again very good. All the staff were very friendly helpful.

Great hotel. The rooms are nice. The restaurant buffet, available every day is extremely varied, with excellent food and plenty of vegetarian options. The menu options for vegetarians could have been better as we only had one option and in both cases it was soup as the main course. The second course was also only one option, but the buffet made up for it. The staff is very nice and welcoming. They offer free transport to the ski slopes and ski rental, that operate every 10 minutes and the driver is lovely. They have a really nice bar area as well, with comfortable seating, good decor, lovely bar tenders and a separate room with a pool table. We'll definitely return if we go back to Sestriere!
