A stay we will remember fondly We spent several days at Hotel Marinedda with our family and had an excellent experience. What stood out most was the care shown by the entire team. Everyone was friendly, helpful and attentive, making our stay feel truly special. We would particularly like to thank the concierge, Maria Chiara, as well as Michele T., Marco and Eugenio in the restaurant. It was a pleasure to meet people who take such genuine care of their guests. They are a real asset to the hotel. The food also deserves praise. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the service and the welcoming atmosphere the team created each day. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. We would love to come back!

This was our 7th visit to La Marinedda and we’ve had another amazing holiday. We have other European holidays throughout the year and have yet to find somewhere else comparable. The hotel services and friendly staff at all levels are excellent, and the food is always superb and beautifully presented in a fine-dining manner. It was good to see the one of the chefs picking herbs from the grounds for decorating the meals. Special mentions to: Valeria for services before and after our stay; Franco for the cheerful buggy shuttle rides; Giuseppe for excellent service and explanations at the buffet desserts; Allesandro for the cheerful and helpful presence , and (sorry can’t remember the name) the man who did the Astronomy talk and night views of the constellations which was excellent and a lovely and unexpected addition to our holiday. We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Marinedda for part of our honeymoon, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place for such a special occasion. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and looked after. The hotel is beautiful, the location is simply stunning, and every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxed, making it the perfect place to truly unwind and enjoy the beauty of Sardinia. What really stood out to us, however, was the exceptional level of service. Everyone was professional, attentive and genuinely kind, always making us feel special without ever being intrusive. A heartfelt thank you to Alessandro, the Director, and to the whole team for making our stay so wonderful. A special thank you to Sara and Arianna at Reception and to Sofia and Carolina from F&B, for their warmth, professionalism and genuine care throughout our stay. You all played a part in making our honeymoon even more special.

Amazing hotel, great location, warm Welcome from the reception staff, Giovanni (head of catering) especially and his staff make the hotel a fantastic experience! We had a great family suite with a sea view. The hotel was extremely well run and very clean. We did see a wild boar walking past our room, but it couldn’t have been less interested in us, but added to the relaxed nature of the hotel.

The hotel and staff were excellent. The room was very spacious and clean, with a beautiful view over the sea. There were several restaurants, bars, pools etc available, all very well maintained. All staff were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. And the shuttle service was fun too! Thank you!

Lovely staff, excellent for coeliacs – but not quite the 5-star experience we expected The heart-stopping hairpin drive from Olbia made for a suitably adventurous beginning to our Sardinian trip! On arrival at Hotel Marinedda, we were immediately greeted by a member of staff in a golf buggy and whisked up to Reception – a lovely welcome, although I never quite understood the reliance on the golf buggies. Unless you have mobility issues or a particularly enormous trunk, everywhere is within a very manageable five-minute walk: the beach, spa, car park and main hotel areas. The real stars of this hotel are undoubtedly the staff. They were exceptional throughout our stay – warm, helpful and genuinely keen to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, although the décor and furnishings felt a little dated for a hotel positioning itself at the luxury end of the market. The beach is beautiful, but another slight disappointment was the limited number of complimentary parasols available to hotel guests. One area where Hotel Marinedda really excels is gluten-free dining. If you are coeliac, you can stay here with real confidence. There was no anxiety about cross-contamination and there was an excellent range of choices. Being able to relax and enjoy meals without constantly having to question ingredients or preparation made a huge difference. The main frustration for us was the inflexibility of the evening dining options. Essentially, it was all or nothing. The buffet was €60 per person – admittedly with lots of choice, quality ingredients and expertly prepared food – or €70 for a four-course à la carte dinner. We tried the à la carte restaurant one evening and the flavours were excellent, but sometimes you simply don’t want a large four-course meal. This pricing model undoubtedly gives the hotel certainty, but it doesn’t feel particularly customer-friendly. The snack bar offered the only opportunity to order something smaller, yet last orders were at 4.30pm. A relaxed evening option where guests could order a simple salad, pasta dish, fish or light meal would make an enormous difference. I also had an excellent massage in the spa. The therapist and treatment were wonderful and the spa itself was immaculate. However, the facilities lacked atmosphere and felt surprisingly underwhelming and empty. I was offered a complimentary spa circuit with my treatment but chose not to use it because there didn’t appear to be very much there, and nobody really explained the purpose or benefits of the different areas. With a little more guidance and atmosphere, this could feel much more like a luxury spa experience. Overall, Hotel Marinedda is certainly not a bad hotel – far from it. It has exceptional staff, excellent food, beautiful surroundings and particularly impressive provision for coeliac guests. But when a resort presents itself as a 5-star luxury experience, expectations are under

This was our 5th time staying at this fantastic hotel as a family since 2018. (25th July - 1st Aug) We had a double room for myself and wife and a twin for my daughters (21 and 18). On arrival the reception staff told us we had been upgraded to rooms with sea and partial sea view (205 and 206). Thank you, the views were amazing. (see picture) As usual the evening buffet was exceptional. I have nothing more to add. (see food pictures, my meal on the last night) Breakfast was also excellent. Something for everybody. We had one night at the "table service" restaurant and my only comment here is we were on our 3rd course (main) after just 40 minutes of being in the restaurant and it felt a bit rushed. Also you are supposed to book this restaurant at breakfast but the days menu only comes out at midday so its a bit back to front imo. That said the food was excellent. The staff make this hotel though. If there is a hotel with more friendly or more helpful staff I have yet to stay in it. Special mention to the lady who served us pre dinner cocktails in the bar every evening. I apologise I have forgotten her name but she was delightful. We keep saying we wont go back because we think it would be nice to try somewhere different. Then after a month of looking at hotels on the internet we realise we are just trying to replicate this hotel and experience in another location so why not just go back to where we know we will all have a fantastic stay.

This is a really wonderful hotel. There are a lot of rooms but it is very cleverly laid out and at no time does one feel part of a crowd. Our Classic sea view room was lovely, immaculately clean and we were so impressed by the housekeeping. The restaurant choice is fantastic, from the beach bar serving lovely snacks to the à la carte restaurant with a really imaginative menu each night and good choice of four courses each night - fine dining. The pizza restaurant is very good too, a wide choice but only pizzas, and the buffet dinner serves a large range of food. The bar areas are spacious and relaxing. We were so impressed by the staff whose work rate was incredible. They were, without exception, charming, friendly, professional and discreet. I have never stayed in a hotel with better service. Both swimming pools were lovely, very quiet and relaxing and the beach was kept clean and well served. Soft sand and no seaweed! There is an area for hotel residents where there is a charge for the sun loungers but one has bar service. The spa is also wonderful - a huge space offering a range of treatments. I had the best facial I’ve ever had. My husband and I had an exceptional 10 days here and would definitely return.

This was a fantastic holiday to celebrate a big family birthday. We wanted a special experience in a beautiful location and we were nor disappointed. This was a truly lovely place to stay. Very family friendly. We went swimming twice a day (two pools and a beatiful beach). The food was delicious (especially the pasta offerings at the buffet) and the staff were very friendly and kind. Thank you for a wondeful week. We were very sad to leave.
