We booked a room in advance and looked forward to staying in the city. The room we’ve got was awful. It has mold and a very strong smell of sewage water (in all the room, not just the bathroom). We asked the receptionist to switch rooms. First, he gave us a show where he said he doesn’t smell anything, though he has nothing to say about the black mold over the wall. He said they don’t have a different room, so we can take the money and go to a different place. He said that without consulting his manager (which he needed for other basic logistics/decisions), so I’m guessing it’s not the first time it happens. He didn’t apologize, and when returning the money he asked for my phone, where he marked “reason for canceling” in my booking app as “found another accommodation”. We needed to look for another place to stay, where it was around 1900, and that’s how we spent our last night of the trip.

The hotel is situated in via Roma near the railway station. An excellent starting point for exploring Palermo. It is on the four floors of the building. There is a friendly old fashion typical Italian-style elevator. There is a reception, and the staff is very helpful and polite. They will give you information about Palermo and Sicily. The room is extra big. There is air conditioning in the room. The breakfast is more than classical Italian. You can choose various options and also they will ask you to offer more food and drinks.

I would book here again
This was a brilliant hotel to stay in. Very close to all the sites, markets and a 5 minute walk to the train station.

The place itself feels very secure and safe with entry only available to people with a swipe key. Our room had a gorgeous balcony which made the room feel very spacious and light.

Breakfast was easy and nice. Nothing too fancy but a good start to the day.

The hotel is perfectly positioned, in Via Roma near to everything you could ask for - supermarket (Lidl), restaurants, pizzerie and the centro storico. The rooms are spacious and clean, comfortable beds and good shower. I really liked the view from my window. The girls working at reception were both fantastic, helping us out with everything.

It is very hard for me to leave such a low review, as the staff were amazing at this hotel.
Only complaint: The room was ice cold. The air conditioner wasn't warm enough, even on max heating.

Staff is super friendly and will help you with anything you need. Position is perfect as you can reach almost all the Palermo's attractions on foot. Hotel is clean and tidy, breakfast included. The hotel is also close to the Ferrovie Dello Stato parking lot which cost about 10€ per day.
Price is competitive.
Recommended.
