Gardenhotel Premstaller in Bolzano

A completely overpriced and extremely outdated hotel that in no way deserves four stars. The television was more like a tablet, there was no kettle, and the small refrigerator, presumably intended as a minibar, wasn't plugged in. Our bathroom had a bathtub without a splash guard. Both the towels and bed sheets had clearly visible holes. The breakfast buffet was also rather meager, offering only cold boiled eggs. One day, there was only one roll left because a tour group had just eaten. Some of the croissants, bread, and rolls were from the previous day. The two juices were diluted at least ten times and still contained ice cubes. You had to practically beg for every cup of coffee, as there was only one server with a small machine. The bar was unmanned in the evenings. While e-bikes could be stored in the locked garage, there was no electricity available. - The staff at reception were extremely friendly and helpful, but the owner seems to be only interested in maximizing profit and has no interest in guests returning.

September 20, 2025... just arrived! We were welcomed like a "cowboy"! The general impression was that we were a nuisance. The attendant almost threw the room key in our faces, not even giving us directions to the floor where it was located. He easily answered a phone call from a potential guest, who, again, was treated arrogantly and with an air of condescension; meanwhile, we waited for directions. The room was horrible and dirty, with almost no toilet paper!!! We didn't leave because it's already 6:00 PM and we have a business dinner at 8:00 PM. I have no idea what else could happen between now and tomorrow, when we happily leave this horrible place, which, to keep with the cowboy mentioned in the introduction, can easily be classified as a 4-star cowboy!

My overall rating is poor. A large property with a beautiful view, clearly visible from the balconies, and a large garden. The room I was assigned was spacious and very clean. However, I found several negatives, and these significantly affected my rating. 1. During the summer, I was assigned a west-facing room, which made it very hot from the afternoon (I had to stay in the room to work from home). I tried to turn on the air conditioning, but it didn't work. I contacted the front desk in person, and they told me I didn't know how to turn it on. When I returned to the room, the air conditioning was working. A few hours later, it stopped working again. I tried to turn it on again since the temperature had risen significantly (I waited because I thought the interruption in air flow was related to the thermostat's self-regulation), but it wouldn't respond to any commands. They could have simply told me that the air conditioning was centrally controlled by them and I could have tolerated a little heat without feeling cheated. I should also add that the only bedding available, with the outside temperature reporting 30 degrees, was a duvet with a duvet cover. 2. Upon arriving at the hotel, after more than 5 hours of travel, I asked the person at the front desk if there was a place to eat nearby (I had no way of getting there by car). They only pointed out the restaurant across the street and also told me that I would have to hurry as it was close to closing time. I politely asked the front desk (there were no other guests at the time; I don't know if the person behind the desk was working on the computer, but he seemed to be doing nothing) if I could make a phone call to the restaurant to let them know I was arriving (it was only a few minutes away) while I dropped off my bags in the room. I was told that no call would be made because the restaurant wouldn't be waiting for me anyway. I rushed to the restaurant in person: it was closed for vacation. Obviously, I wasn't offered any alternatives, and if it had been up to this person, the only option would have been to fast. After ordering takeout via the app, the person in question also rudely addressed the delivery man. On other occasions, I've also seen her address colleagues/subordinates in an arrogant manner. This is far from welcoming behavior from someone who manages a reception area. 3. The breakfast selection is poor, and the food doesn't appear to be of good quality. The only person who spoke to me courteously was the very kind waitress who was in charge of preparing the hot drinks.

Convenient only because it's five minutes from the Bolzano fairgrounds. They look like four stars, but the rooms are old and dirty, the furnishings and amenities are dated, and breakfast after 9:00 is practically nonexistent. The website photos are still the same as they were twenty years ago. I wouldn't return.

The furnishings were very old and in no way met the standards of a four-star hotel.

The shower doors in the bathroom wouldn't close properly, and there was only half a roll of toilet paper.

The in-room safe also didn't work.

Overall, a huge disappointment and not recommended.

One star for several reasons. The website says they offer gluten-free breakfast upon request. When we arrived, we asked, and of course the answer was, "We don't have anything; you have to request it before you arrive." That's fine. So my partner ate the cookies we bought at the supermarket. I also asked if they had a plant-based milk, but nothing. I'm lactose intolerant, so I had to take lactase tablets for breakfast. We moved on to the sauna. After a morning of walking, it seemed like a good idea for the afternoon. It says opening time is 3:00 PM. But for some reason, they decided to open later, at 4:00 PM. When we got there, we went down to ask, and were told it takes an hour to heat up and that you have to reserve. Oh, and it costs €10 per person. The staff member even got annoyed when we asked him for an explanation; he said, "Well, we're not a spa." Sure, so why do you offer a service you don't want to provide? Looking inside the sauna out of curiosity, since we'd been told it was booked for the entire afternoon, it was full of mold, and we honestly chose not to. P.S. There was no one in the sauna. Perhaps those who had booked also ran away. Luckily, we only stayed one night. At least the room had a nice view.

No, no and no !! but how can we give laudatory "opinions" on this establishment from another age (to be avoided) where EVERYTHING is outdated, in mothballs - including, already, the welcome, then the hygiene and the absolute poverty of the little one? lunch - (except the price of the night!!); sinister restaurant closed although included in the published criteria. Nothing was, near or far, worthy of its usurped, false classification; and we therefore "spent" a negative moment in this bad house which illustrates what can spoil a great Italian vacation; with, in addition, and manifest FAULT of the hotelier, a violent fall in the UNSAFE shower area which left painful and worrying after-effects: in short: A BIG MEMORABLE FAIL!!!!!!
