I want to give 5 stars but I can't because though the place was cute and comfortable, I can't say I was impressed by the cleanliness of it. Pictures as proof. After a terrible misunderstanding with the owner/receptionist who almost kicked my husband out for not having a reservation when he arrived (he knew but checked availability right while knocking on the door - we tried calling but nobody ever picked up the phone so decided to go there directly), we got a nice cozy room. We stayed for one night so we didn't take advantage of the swimming pool or other facilities but we did have breakfast and it was intimate and cute (if you're a shy person you might feel intimidated as the area is quite small). A bit pricey for a B&B vs normal hotel but parking is free if you come by car so it does make a big difference! Great location and despite the weird first impression, we liked the stay.

We caught the next available flight and then had a five-hour drive to the hotel. Unfortunately, check-in closed at 7 PM and we arrived at 7:30 PM. While I completely understand we were late, the hostile and unwelcoming way we were treated was totally unacceptable. Instead of even a hint of empathy, we were met with unnecessary attitude. With so many gorgeous hotels nearby, I would strongly suggest staying elsewhere. This place is absolutely not worth the stress.

Clean and nice rooms.
The manager does a lot of things herself. This meant that we had to wait in the morning until the table was set for breakfast.
I would book the accommodation again.

Everything was truly perfect! Location of the place, rooms are really luxurious and clean. The garden and pool are really nice, especially in the evening. Everything is close and accessible easily. I recommend it to everyone!!!

Service was great. Pool was wonderful. Great setting. Breakfast set the day off well. We were on a motorcycle tour through the Alps and Villa Tyrol made it special.

An oasis in the center of Merano!
I recommend Villa Tyrol to all guests who appreciate living in a paradise in the center of Merano. Free parking and newly renovated rooms with shower / toilet / hairdryer, minibar, satellite TV and some with bidet and south-facing balcony. There is also a fantastic, delicious breakfast in the elegant breakfast room or on the terrace facing the beautifully manicured garden with pool and sunbathing area. Simply wonderful to enjoy a Hugo or Veneziano at the pool bar in the middle of Mersn. Thank you Mrs. Marion and Mr. Samir for the friendly hospitality. I will come back to you at Villa Tyrol as soon as possible to enjoy my vacation days.

Boss very friendly and tried hard. Looks well organized and is happy to help. Your partner, however, appears very unfriendly, snotty and dismissive. Room: despite the price rather simple, with hard-to-close bathroom doors and diced colored bed linen. Breakfast very good and varied. Pool area with no shade and a simple ready-to-use pool. Garden planting at most only in the making and sad for plant lovers. Location: good, everything within easy walking distance. Summary: Does not keep what it promises according to the website. Certainly nothing more for us.

Terrible! This hotel looks nice, but the owners are aggressive and violent. When we asked for extra towels the male and female owners literally started screaming at us to get out. Actually screaming! We could not explain to you why a simple request escalated immediately to such intense and out of control anger on the part of the vendors, but it really did happen. Other guests in the hotel witnessed it and also checked out that day after such terrible behaviour. Stay away from here!
