Continental in Garda

Fabulous,smaller hotel. A little dated but nothing to complain about. Rooms were totally functional with a lovely view of the pool area and mountains beyond.
Very friendly and efficient staff. Room service was excellent. Restaurant and bar staff couldn't be more helpful.
Food quality was superb. Being a smaller hotel,evening meal had to be selected from the menu at breakfast time. Obviously this is to avoid waste but all in our group of friends were really happy with the food served.
Situation was perfect for us. 20 min walk into the old town and lakeside.
Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel but possibly not for a young family.

Lovely family run hotel in a perfect position. A very quiet location but near to everything you need. The hotel itself is small with every room overlooking the swimming pool. We were fortunate enough to be on the ground floor so our room opened up onto the garden. This was a nice touch. Sadly we had two heavy smokers either side of our room so we had to keep our doors and windows shut. This is probably the only real disappointment. The hotel should have a designated smoking area away from the rooms. The breakfast is a small buffet but there is plenty of choice and will cater for everyone. The fresh coffee is exceptional. Evening meals are 3 courses, you're given a menu at breakfast which you complete. The evening meal feels like you're in a lovely restaurant. All the staff are dressed immaculately and are very attentive. There is a buffet with bread, salad, eggs, pasta and vegetables that you help yourself to then the rest of the courses are served to you at your table. I like this idea, it's all cooked fresh with minimum food waste. All drinks served with the evening meal are added to a bill and you settle at the end of your holiday. You are also allocated your own table that you have for your entire stay, again another nice touch. Please don't be put off by the old fashioned decor, it doesn't detract from this being a lovely family run hotel. The location of this hotel could not be better. 5 minutes from the lake, ferry terminal and bus park. The ferry is a great way to get around but it is expensive. The bus is a much cheaper option. We went to Verona return for the day, the bus was $27 return for 3 people, buses are frequent and always on time. Verona is beautiful but busy, we loved it so much we went twice. Sermione is also worth a visit, as is Malcesine. There is a lot to do and see, even just walking along the promenade is breathtaking

Excellent hotel. The bedrooms are a little dated but clean. Beds very comfortable. Air conditioning worked very well in the room. Breakfast and evening meal very good. Plenty of choice. A special thanks to Kristina in the restaurant. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Great swimming pool and surrounding area. Certainly would return.

To be fair, we booked this hotel as the one we had used previously wasn't available. We are so glad that was the case.

We were meeting family and booked independently, so we opted for B&B.

This is a delightful, family-run hotel, and it showed as the service from them and their team was exemplary. Italy tends to have small hotel rooms. However, ours was plenty large enough for the two of us.

The hotel is no more than 10 minutes' walk from most of Garda, including the bus and boat stations.

The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. We will book the Continental for our next stay in Garda. And we will book half board.

We had the most relaxed holiday at this lovely little hotel. It is in an ideal location.....peaceful, residential area yet just moments from the town and lakeside. Every member of staff was friendly, polite and efficient and the standard of housekeeping was exceptional.
The pool area is well maintained - usually no issues with sunbeds, though we did have a party of German tourists who put towels down at 7:30 each morning and then went out ( hotel does not provide pool towels )
Breakfast had plenty of choice. The evening menu was more limited but we ate and enjoyed absolutely everything, though vegetarians would find their choices even more restricted. Our room was spacious enough and the sleep quality was excellent. The bathroom appeared to have been refurbished - always plenty of shower gel but no tissues.
Possibly, some rooms in need of redecorating but we would definitely stay there again.

Such a friendly and nice staff.It feeks like a family hotel and it is very cosy. The room was clean and comfort, nice breakfast and very good location.

We come hear every year because the owners and staff are so friendly and cheerful.
The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings not too far from the lake front.
