Residence Corte Grimani in Venice

I cannot recommend this place enough. But it is Vanessa, the manager, who made our weekend trip special. She gave us great recommendations, told us all about important facts about Venice, made us feel very comfortable. Listen to her advice :) She is a true Venetian!

The room was very spacious, warm, comfortable. The bed was large and comfortable.

It is very central, everywhere is walkable and it is very quiet as well.

We will definitely come back to this place.

I found Residenza Corte Grimani after doing a lot of research, and I’m so thankful I did! This hotel is an absolute treasure — beautiful, clean, and incredibly spacious — just steps from St. Mark’s Square.

Vanessa was such a delight! She helped us arrange a water taxi right to the hotel’s door and even met us at the boat when the tides were high to guide us in. If you’ve never been to Venice, you know it’s a bit of a labyrinth, but Vanessa made everything so easy. She patiently helped us remember key landmarks so we could always find our way back.

The rooms were huge and perfect for our family of four with two teenagers. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, and it was such a nice respite after busy days exploring. The rooms were warm and cozy despite the chilly weather outside, and we appreciated having a full kitchen and even a washer available (for a fee).

We absolutely loved our stay here. Thank you, Vanessa, for your kindness and hospitality — we will definitely be back!

200 steps from San Marco square, not many places any closer. VERY clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom including a towel warmer and the one evening we needed a little heat, it was easy to use. We also had a room with a small kitchen with a table, 4 chairs, sofa and wall mounted TV. We sent two emails to the team before arriving and Vanessa responded within 1 day with all the info I needed including travel suggestions to arrive in San Marco.
Sure I would have enjoyed having and onsite gym for a workout, but at this price vs the hotels, I just additional walking to make up for not having the gym. Highly recommending to friends for their future trips…

We had a wonderful stay here! Vanessa was so friendly and helpful with helping me navigate my first visit to Venice. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the air conditioning was comfortable, the locations fantastic and on our last day the water taxi pulled right up to the residence on the canal and took us to the airport. We would definitely stay here again!!

Our room was very spacious for 4 people and had all the amenities anyone could need with some great views of the canal surrounding the building.
The location is perfect just a few minutes away from St. Mark's square.
Receptionist was wonderful, helped us get around, understand how Venice works and also helped us book transport for after check out.

We spent 5 nights at the Corte Grimani.
Everything was amazing.
The staff, and particularly Vanessa at the front desk was amazing :)
The room was very clean, the kitchen well appointed.
The elevator was very convenient.
It is ideally located, and VERY quiet at night, which is so enjoyable.
I recommend 100%.

Great location in the heart of San Marco. We stayed during Carnival and the price was very reasonable. I was surprised at the level of service we received from the hotel staff as they were very accommodating with requests and forthcoming with information to enhance our visit. The room was very clean and it was nice to be able to catch up on Laundry while on a 10 day stay through Italy. We took advantage of the kitchenette and saved a little bit of $$ from the more expensive dining experience that Venice can offer. Great location as all of the best sites are in San Marco, great price, great staff.

This hotel is very well located a few blocks off of Piazza San Marco, but far enough away to avoid most of the annoyances of that area. The rooms are basic, but clean. Even the rooms without an advertised view have a bit of a view. There is a full kitchen and clothes washing machine in the room, but you will have to pay a significant fee (20-50 euros) to use it. Overall it was somewhat expensive for what you were getting, but this is Venice so you should learn to expect that wherever you go.

Very nice hotel. It was a full apartment with a washer/dryer, which was much needed as there was a heat wave in Europe and our clothes needed a washing. It was a spacious place. The front desk staff was friendly and accomidating.

Fantastic experience. The staff met us at the door and were very helpful with suggestions and navigating the maze that is Venice. The room was quiet and quaint. We reserved an apartment and found every amenity we needed including a washer/dryer combo. Located a few minutes walk from San Marco and the Hard Rock. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stay here.
