I knew it was a guesthouse, but my suitcases were very heavy and it was difficult to climb the stairs to the second floor, but the host's hospitality was very good. I came to Yuzawa as a tourist guide from Taiwan, but unfortunately there was not much snow, which was a bit disappointing.

The elderly gentleman at the front desk was very kind and friendly; although we didn't speak the language, he was very helpful. Dinner was delicious, and the environment was clean and hygienic, with a traditional Japanese inn feel. The only downside was that there was only a public bath, and it had private hours, so if you wanted to shower during those hours, you might have to wait a long time.

Takanoya is a wonderful traditional ryukan style onsen. I highly recommend it. The rooms are clean and well kept, the onsen is hot and private, and the proprietor is thoughtful and generous.

Free massage chairs are fantastic! Soaking in the hot spring is so comfortable.

The large public bath is very nice, and amenities abound.

Good value for money and very satisfied.
I stayed here on a ski trip. The man at the front desk was very helpful and I had a comfortable stay overall.
The building is quite old, but the toilet and air conditioner are new, and the futon was fluffy and comfortable. However, my companion was disappointed that the TV in the room only showed online broadcasts and no terrestrial broadcasts. You can watch YouTube and other things freely.
I couldn't find the ingredients list for the bath, but it seems to be a hot spring. The water was refreshing and not too strong. There was a hair dryer and amenities available.
There was a restaurant nearby that I wanted to try, so I ate dinner outside, and although I only had breakfast, the koshihikari rice from Minamiuonuma, Niigata, was very delicious! There were a variety of side dishes, so I had seconds.

This was my first time staying at Takanoya (without meals). It was incredibly comfortable. The staff was very kind, and the hot spring was enjoyable. They even had an English display. The room had a distinctly Japanese feel! Plus, I could watch YouTube on the TV. Foreign visitors will surely enjoy it!

Probably an inn for skiers in the winter. Please note that this does not have the atmosphere of a hotel or inn. It reminded me of a training camp when I was a student. I think it's fine if you want to stay with that in mind. Shared toilet, hot spring bath 24 hours a day.

It was good to be able to enter the hot spring anytime. Although it is close to the station, there are few trains, so be careful.
