Excellent choice for Niseko
The Setsumon was in an excellent location - easy to walk almost anywhere in Hirafu. The apartment was huge and quite comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The only downside was a lack of their own transportation around town.
I stayed at The Setsumon for two nights in February and had a fantastic experience. The location was excellent, and the facilities were top-notch. Most notably, the customer service was exceptional—Paige and Monique at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. Huge shoutout to them for their outstanding hospitality!
Wow absolutely amazed on this place! We stayed at the penthouse room and it was well worth it! The jacuzzi was perfect and being able to ski in and out was also a huge plus
Of course the photos on the websites of booking agents make this apartment seem ultra luxurious , an elite paradise for the slopes of niseko. In reality it is just a well kept apartment with a great location in niseko. Two minutes to the family chair, ten minutes to the center lift , two minutes to Seicomart, and so on . It’s easy to access, provides convenient ski storage, and has everything you might...
First time staying at the Setsumon and it by far has exceeded any accommodation I have stayed in at a ski resort. The apartment was very modern, spacious, comfortable bed and delightful staff. A special shout out to the cheery young fellow Andrew who drove us to Kutchan last minute to catch our train and helped us with our belongings. God bless!
These apartments are very central to lifts, restaurants, retail and sports stores which we found very convenient. Certainly this made our weeks stay with all the fresh powder very enjoyable. The staff at Maples reception were excellent, especially Elissa and Gabrielle who organised our gear on Black Cat, helped with transport and greatly assisted our departure (after a visit to the medical enter)
A very comfortable and clean apartment with amazing views and in a great location. The apartment had a well equipped kitchen, with plenty of space to relax with friends on our nights in. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and proximity to Yama Sports was very convenient. Would definitely stay again.
We had an excellent stay at Niseko Landmark View and would absolutely return. The location is outstanding, directly below the lift. Being able to walk out the door and onto the lift in minutes is a major advantage, especially in Niseko’s deep powder conditions. The apartments are modern, spacious, and very well maintained. Ours had floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful views of Mt. Yotei, a fully...
Front desk was very helpful and there’s ski rental within the hotel so it’s very convenient. It’s also a few metres away from the gondola.
The staff were positive and friendly, and worked hard to help me solve the problem of connecting the TV to Apple TV. Their English was also very good. The downside was that there was no air conditioning in the room, but there were fans available, and the price was a bit high.
Amazing accommodation with great views and superb kind staff. Close to HIRAFU gondola. No question, we will stay here again :)
Well appointed property facing mt yotei. See sun rise daily. Very much value for money!
Top of the best, view from living room is stunning, comfy mattress and huge space for family. Private parking, staff speak good English and very helpful we had a great time and definitely return and highly recommended
Great staff! Knowledgeable and friendly
Extremely nice apartment style place to stay. The shuttles were very convenient and not too far away from the resort. Really easy walk to the konbinis and restaurants.
Just a dam good little jem
Brilliant stay! staff supper accomodating room great short stroll to great food and bars, great drying room perfect for chilling after skiing and great value for money.
Amazing unit, Modern warm, clean & comfortable. The major factor during our stay was how obliging the check in staff were, the boys and Ariana could not do enough for you. We were transported daily to and from various parts of the resort, each day.
The room is big and the hygiene is very good
You can also see Mount Yotei
Very comfortable stay
Hotel staff service attitude is very good
Introduced many scenic spots to us
Well worth staying
We enjoyed a short, two-night stay at Zaborin Ryokan last weekend, and we loved every minute of the stay. The accommodations were exceptional! The suite was spacious at ~100 square meters (~1100 square feet). There was a private outdoor onsen as well as an internal onsen that we loved using. The living room allowed us to relax comfortably in the suite even though we did not use the separate dining...
Zaborin Onsen Ryokan truly exceeded our expectations! The beautiful natural scenery was incredibly refreshing, and combined with delicious meals, a clean and spacious room, and delightful indoor and outdoor onsen baths, it made for a perfect vacation experience.
Our second visit to Zaborin, this time in the winter. The place is truly special in the snowfall, with the illuminated trees providing a wonderful background. The service remains impeccable. The room is gorgeous, with its views to the exterior. The amount of privacy is amazing. Breakfasts and dinners are in rooms that are essentially private. We found the food better this visit. The preparation...
Finally checked off my must-stay hotel! Getting to the hotel from Sapporo was easier than I expected. Zaborin offers a pick-up service from Kuch'an Station. The autumn scenery along the way was breathtaking. This adjective also describes the Michelin-starred dining experience; I personally preferred the breakfast, which was exceptionally refined.
A truly wonderful experience. The setting is private and the rooms feel nestled in the woodland. The service is friendly, polite and attentive. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the indoor and outdoor spring pools were a treat. The food was innovative and tasty with beautiful ingredients. The hotel itself is made for calm and relaxation. Would love to visit again!
Zaborin has entered into the ranks of one of my favourite ryokans in Japan. We visited in the midst of a very hot summer and even though the ryokan was not air conditioned and we were so warm the whole time (except in the room) we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We hope to visit in the wintertime and hopefully their booking policy will be a little more relaxed as wintertime booking requires a minimum...
Amazing breakfast and clean rooms.
Service was great.
I’m not sure who gives out the stars, but Miru Niseko needs at least one, if not two more.
LOCATION is awesome. Feels secluded but so close to everything. 10 minute drive to Annupuri and 5 minutes to Hirafu. The shuttle made it extremely convenient and we’re also not the type to like being in the middle of bars and such, but close enough that we can dabble for a night.
STAFF were fantastic. Is there...
I had a wonderful stay here.
The rooms are spacious and very modern; my room was filled with all the ammenities which I needed. The way the hotel is structured is very intriguing too; I won't say more - take it as an incentive to book yourself a room here!
The staff are very friendly and helpful - it was great that they were willing to offer advice on activities I could participate in within a 'close...
Our family had a great stay. Very clean, modern and cozy rooms with friendly staff. We also loved the location, it's just a 5 minute drive to grand hirafu ski lifts and restaurants but feels so much more secluded with amazing views of the the mountain. Love to stay again.
Friendly staff, great views, good breakfast, and quiet yet convenient location.
Great accommodations, lovely onsen, helpful staff, beautiful views, a free shuttle service... What more can you want? The place is like a dream! I highly recommend checking in!

Right at the centre of Hirafu - you have to walk a bit upslope to the ski lifts. Check in is at another building / hotel so beware if you're not driving.
The space is well equipped with a full kitchen and washing machine, as well as heaters. There is also a ski locker on the ground floorwhere you can pit your ski equipment. However we noticed a smell of fresh renovating works once we entered the...
Very satisfied with our stay in Kizuna. The kitchen allowed us to enjoy cooking local fresh produce. It’s nice to have the beautiful view of Mountain from the living room. The staff were also friendly. We’d love to come again for the next visit.
Great location, walkable to Hirafu lifts. Comfy beds and well appointed apartment. Ski lockers and parking were an added bonus.
Well equipment. Great Views, Bright. No bread knife.

Great place with great rooms with easy access to the slopes. The hot springs is a must and is extremely easy for foreigners to use. Would recommend for anyone wanting a cheap but pleasant stay in niseko.
This hotel was about a five-minute walk from the ski equipment rental shop and the ski resort. It also had a hot spring sauna, which was great!
The room is nice, there is a greenhouse to store ski equipment, hot springs to soak in, and it's a five-minute walk from the ski resort
The first time I went skiing in Hokkaido, I chose Niseko. We went there during the peak season and booked late. Niseko is a popular place, so it was hard to find a hotel that was actually available and reasonably priced. Many ski hotels with good value for money and close to the ski resorts were fully booked early, or they were luxury hotels that were several times more expensive. Finally, after looking...
We stayed in a Japanese-style room with bathroom, which was relatively new. The hotel is very close to the ski lift, on the cross street, which is very convenient for shopping at night. Hirafu Welcome Center is not far from the hotel, about 200 to 300 meters away. The room faces Mount Yotei. The public bath in the hotel has hot springs, which also face Mount Yotei. It is recommended to go there after...
I was very skeptical given that this is the “budget” option compared to the super expensive hotels and resorts in the area. Plus the pictures look pretty bad. But we booked last minute and it was either this or a 3x more expensive hotel. So we decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did!!
Overall the hotel is old and gives grandma vibes. But it’s Japanese old and everything is super well maintained...
I stayed in the 5th floor penthouse with a private terrace and great view. It is not ski-in ski-out but the bases are at walking distance in about 10 minutes. The check in is done at another sister hotel a bit of a uphill walk so take your taxi directly there on arrival.
The place is beautiful thankyou
A top place to stay in Hirafu, Niseko. Excellent location, and staff could not be more helpful and assisting. Studio room 402 has great views up towards the ski slopes. Modern and well equipped, I would choose to stay here again.
There was plenty of tableware and the whole room was very clean and satisfying.
MUSE Niseko is a beautiful, new and modern apartment-style hotel that comes complete with a king size bed, mini-kitchen, dishes, dishwasher, microwave, washer-dryer and a huge bathroom and shower. The unit is well designed to be spacious. What’s special is that there is only one apartment unit per floor, so it’s super quiet. Finally, the management company, Vacation Niseko Front Desk is fantastic....
The room was very spacious by Japanese standards, and it was fully equipped with excellent amenities. A fantastic serviced apartment!
Nice and clean. There’s 7-11 and few restaurants in walkable rage. Very satisfied, I’d consider visiting again next winter!
A little far from hirafu but overall setup is extremely good with friendly staff and decent buffet.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, and perfect logistics. The shuttle to the ski lift is super reliable. The rooms feel new. Breakfast offers a variety of food.
This was my first time visiting Niseko and staying at this hotel. The location is very convenient, close to ski areas, restaurants, and convenience stores. They also provide a free shuttle bus to take guests to their chosen ski destinations.
Everything was reasonably priced during the off-season. The shuttle bus stop is right outside the hotel, and there's a restaurant on-site. The front desk staff are foreigners, so communication in English was no problem. They also have a restaurant and a gym. Very satisfied with the budget!
The room comes with a drying rack for clothes. There's also a ski storage area downstairs. Breakfast buffet was included when booking, so no need to worry about what to eat in the morning. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven nearby if you want to grab some snacks.
Staff are very kind and helpful. Transport is provided to nearby places and skii.
We had an incredible stay at Kozue in Niseko! The customer service was exceptional. Natasha and the staff were amazing, friendly, responsive, and so easy to get along with. They went above and beyond to assist us with everything, from arranging our airport pickup to helping us with snowboard equipment rentals and transportation. They even helped secure dinner reservations, making our trip seamless...
Super nice staff super nice hotel super nice area super nice skiing.
Overall super nice
Stayed for a week and really loved this hotel. I know someone complained about not getting a mountain view, we were in the cheapest rooms (studio) and were happy to have a little balcony over the street - we didn’t expect any view at all. Having a washing machine, drying racks, great kitchen and a drying room for skis etc downstairs was really convenient, and its steps from the family run and ACE family...
We've stayed here for the past couple years, in different units. Positives: - Hard to beat the location - NBS ski rental and school / kids club in same building - Spitting distance to the Ace Family lift - Easy to walk to Hirafu shops and restaurants Negatives: - Units have no character - very basic, bathrooms look like public bathrooms - Staff do the bare minimum to be helpful - Some units have...
This is our 6-7 Niseko trips in the last 8 years. This is definitely the best ski-in ski-out hotel in the Hirafu area! Hotel is just right beside the family lift! Imagine this, fill in the gear rental form the night before you ski day. After a nice breakfast in your room. Go down to the ground floor and pick up your gear from Ski Lockers or Hotel Gear Rental shop. Slip outside the door and you...
Very nice hotel. Easy access to the slope for skiers and snowboarders
Best for skiing or snowboarding, the lift is just right outside of the apartment
Everything is perfect, including large space, good equipment, nice decorating, and friendly people. (although without air conditioner, the temperature in summer night is still acceptible.)
Price is reasonable. Recommand it.
Staff were very friendly, everything was clean and as expected. Very close to Hanazono. Very happy with experience.
The house was nestled in the woods, very quiet, and the snow view outside the window was beautiful, like something out of a comic book. The owner (male) was a foreigner (from Europe), but spoke excellent Chinese. He could easily pronounce some Chinese characters, and his pronunciation was very standard, even better than many Chinese people like myself—impressive! The owner loved Chinese food and culture...
Overall, the stay was excellent. The hotel's location is convenient, making it easy to get around; the rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. The front desk staff and other personnel were friendly and easy to communicate with. Overall, it offers good value for money, and I would choose to stay here again if I have the opportunity.
Big accommodation, easy to find Parking is a waste of money, not good here.
We booked a private room for 1 king as a last minute extension of our ski trip to be close to hanazono ski resort. The common living room area/lobby is extremely cosy with complimentary hot tea and coffee that can be enjoyed by the fireplace throughout the day. Super comforting after a cold day out. We also got to meet the owner Cliff who helped us get to and back from the resort, train and neighbouring...
Unparalleled attention to guests! staff dropped and picked us from the resort and to Kutchan (for dinner and JR stn). Helped recommend a yummy Gosetsu tempura udon restaurant and made reservations. Helped with our Chitose train schedule. Great location for the new Honozano. 3-5 min drive from Honozano 308. Common area is warm and cozy with the Georgian decor and fireplace. Not a “hotel room” experience...
This is a magical house in a great location. Highly recommended for a fun and comfortable stay in Niseko. The kitchen is great. We bought groceries from the supermarket in Kutchan (lucky is better than Coop) and catered some fabulous apres ski meals using the gorgeous Japanese dishes.
Great house, clean, with plenty of everyday essentials.
I extended my stay for another day for a total of 6 days. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Dave san made everything so easy. He recommended a ski rental shop, helped me to purchase the lift pass and every day he dropped me off or picked me up at the ski place. The breakfast every morning was also wonderful. Dave's wife made very tasty meals. And the portion was perfect for me to start a day of high...
We stayed here for a couple of nights and Dave the owner was so helpful. He speaks limited English but tried to help us out wherever possible. He took us to all the places that we needed to go and picked us up free of charge. It was my daughters birthday while we were there and he organised a cake for her and a bottle of champagne for us free of charge.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is...
Offering a guest lounge area with a electric fireplace, Yume Basho is located in Niseko. It features apartments with a balcony and fully equipped kitchen. Yume Basho Chalet is 20 minutes' drive from Ski Lift Niseko Village.
5 minutes walk from main hirafu shops. Uphill for the ski lifts but that's true for most places . Spacious rooms, clean space and cosy lounge.
It was good but there was some resistance in the bathroom.
Very accessible to restos and Hirafu-zaka. You can go to convenience stores nearby (Lawson, Secomart, Hirafu 188). Also near from base of skiing areas and equipment rental (Aya Hirafu, etc.) You have shuttle buses every 20-30 minutes depending where you want to go from 8am till 830pm. Excellent amenities at our services apartment. We got a three bedroom loft with a nice view of Mount Yoti. Internet...
Outstanding modern apartment, close to everything in Niseko.
Spacious house for 10-13 ppl. People over 13 need to use futons put on the ground.
Love the house with its equipment dry room and spacious public area.
But some of the rooms are too small for placing luggage in.
Tall people might hit their head when entering the bunk beds.
It would be better if the agent can provide keys of the door in the 1st floor. It can let us put snow gear directly into the...
The living room and dining room are large. There are 13 beds on two floors, a quadruple room, a triple room with a bunk bed, a double room with a bunk bed, two double rooms, and a living room for 17 people.
Convenient transportation, walk to the feeder station no. 6 two minutes, walk to the hot spring for three minutes.
The location is decent, very close to the ski resort, and the apartment offers a shuttle service from the station. Overall, the experience was quite good.
Location, size and value. Never saw staff (understandably due to Covid-19) but always reachable by phone.
It’s not the location (which you can’t beat), nor the accommodations (which are spacious and comfortable), or the amenities (beautiful fully equipped kitchen + in room washer dryer + Netflix) that surprised me, it’s the incredible service which really blew me away! I thought this was a self catering apartment, but turns out the onsite team (Robby, Nelson et al) catered to our many needs, from calling...
Beautiful resort to stay for skiing in hirafu niseko
Perfect location for skiiing and shopping. Very convenient
Very well organised holiday by Ludo & his team @ Vacation Niseko. The apartment was very good value for money being clean, modern, well equipped, close to the slopes and all the restaurants. Small requests like I needed a blender were catered for. Pick-up & drop off at the bus station were also friendly & helpful. Overall very good feel factor !
Set in Niseko, 10 km from Niseko Annupuri Hot Spring, 16 km from Niseko Yakushi Hot Spring and 23 km from Niseko Goshiki Onsen, Koho offers accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi.
Other than the shared toilets and showers, it was just like a regular hotel, and I had no problems. The facilities, including the common areas, were spotless and I had a comfortable stay. There were several restaurants nearby, so I had no trouble finding dinner. Breakfast is only served during the winter, and only bread and free drinks are available from the vending machine.
Very clean and tidy. I wasn't thrilled with the shared bathrooms prior, but it was fine. Only 5 rooms share them. Bed was of the soft foam variety, the only genuine letdown. Seriously uncomfortable. Other than that, it was fine.
The host was so kind and generous. We had arrived 1 day before our scheduled booking, by my mistake. The host offered to let us wait in the lobby for a taxi, and when he found that we could not get one as it was late at night, he offered to drive us to the nearest 7-eleven, in his personal vehicle, after hours. We were so grateful, and would highly recommend this hotel. We had a great experience. No...
What a great place to stay! Room was comfortable and cozy. Heating worked well. There is plenty of free parking. I was concerned about the shared bathroom, but it was kept very clean. Shower water pressure was awesome. They provide free toiletries. Breakfast was great. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating, literally every single one. There is laundry and dryer. I liked that it was away...
The staff checked me in was polite and nice. The property has lots of amenities and free coffee and pops.
Only downside is that you can hear noises like walking, opening and closing doors and two morning staff were talking loud at 5am in the morning and I could hear them through the door.
