We enjoyed a short, two-night stay at Zaborin Ryokan last weekend, and we loved every minute of the stay. The accommodations were exceptional! The suite was spacious at ~100 square meters (~1100 square feet). There was a private outdoor onsen as well as an internal onsen that we loved using. The living room allowed us to relax comfortably in the suite even though we did not use the separate dining area. The other highlight of the stay was the food. The cuisine was excellent. Dinner was included in the room and entailed a 10-course experience each night. The wine list was extensive and fairly priced with some true jewels available by the bottle and the glass. Breakfast each day was also impressive with 7-8 courses (each sized appropriately). Overall, we cannot wait to visit again. This was clearly a winter visit which meant enjoying the onsen while it was near freezing outside with snow banks surrounding the property. I look forward to experiencing the property in summer to see if the experience measures up as well. My assumption is that it will be just as perfect.

Zaborin Onsen Ryokan truly exceeded our expectations! The beautiful natural scenery was incredibly refreshing, and combined with delicious meals, a clean and spacious room, and delightful indoor and outdoor onsen baths, it made for a perfect vacation experience.

Our second visit to Zaborin, this time in the winter. The place is truly special in the snowfall, with the illuminated trees providing a wonderful background. The service remains impeccable. The room is gorgeous, with its views to the exterior. The amount of privacy is amazing. Breakfasts and dinners are in rooms that are essentially private. We found the food better this visit. The preparation allowed the local food to shine.

Finally checked off my must-stay hotel! Getting to the hotel from Sapporo was easier than I expected. Zaborin offers a pick-up service from Kuch'an Station. The autumn scenery along the way was breathtaking. This adjective also describes the Michelin-starred dining experience; I personally preferred the breakfast, which was exceptionally refined.

Zaborin has entered into the ranks of one of my favourite ryokans in Japan. We visited in the midst of a very hot summer and even though the ryokan was not air conditioned and we were so warm the whole time (except in the room) we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. We hope to visit in the wintertime and hopefully their booking policy will be a little more relaxed as wintertime booking requires a minimum staying of a couple of nights but not everyone has the time and luxury to just stay at the same ryokan for a few nights on end.

The food served at Zaborin is the BEST ryokan Kaiseki I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect and this is a huge feat for a ryokan having to focus on not just culinary but every other aspect expected of a 5 star hotel. I was so impressed I even kept the menu to savour the memory.

The rooms are super private and the onsen was great. Though there really are a lot of different bugs at night. The air conditioning in the room was working very well over the summer heat, props to that. Service staff were all very friendly and professional at the same time. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit in the wintertime.

A truly wonderful experience. The setting is private and the rooms feel nestled in the woodland. The service is friendly, polite and attentive. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the indoor and outdoor spring pools were a treat. The food was innovative and tasty with beautiful ingredients. The hotel itself is made for calm and relaxation. Would love to visit again!

Zaborin isn't just a hotel- it's a peaceful retreat tucked deep in nature. The architecture and gardens feel like a single, living work of art, blending seamlessly with the forest. Each room has a private onsen, making it easy to fully relax.
The Kaiseki were creative, beautifully done, and truly Michelin-level. I also enjoyed the matcha ceremony and massage treatments.
Zaborin is where stillness, comfort, and quiet luxury come together.

This was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. It was nice to arrive when the snow started to pile up. The scenery around me was beautiful and it was a very nice place where I could forget about time and relax. There are many amenities in the rooms. I was especially glad that there were 3 types of fresh juice. The TV is designed in such a way that you can’t watch terrestrial broadcasts, which I thought was good. Since there were no guests from abroad, I could spend time peacefully in a quiet place. The food was delicious both morning and evening and I was very satisfied. I would definitely stay here again.

A famous hotel in Niseko (Hanazono area). Since the vast area is used luxuriously, each space is spacious and you can spend a very comfortable time. The overall design is modern and very fashionable. The hot springs where you can soak in a calm and relaxing environment are the best ^_^ It seems that the bath is different depending on the room, but the stone bath was the best! The spring is a little thick and soft, and the bath is quite wet. The food was healthy, with a lot of vegetables and fish, but very tasty. The children also played very happily. Recommended if you want to enjoy a luxurious trip different from the usual.

I was able to have a really relaxing and elegant time. The food was great again and I would love to come back soon.
