I stayed at the Fresh Water Hotel in Grand Hirafu last week and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The location is absolutely legendary right in the heart of everything, with super easy access to the lifts, restaurants, and nightlife.

The staff really made the stay special. Rachel was a huge help getting us checked in early and making sure everything was set up perfectly for us right away, which was clutch after traveling. James was equally awesome and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and drink around town every suggestion was a hit.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly what you want after long days on the mountain. I’d 100% stay here again and would recommend it to anyone coming to Niseko. Can’t wait to be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Freshwater Hotel Niseko. The hotel itself is modern, cosy, and perfectly located for exploring the area. A special shout-out goes to James from Perth, who drove us to the welcome center when we were leaving. James was genuinely lovely — friendly, relaxed, and incredibly helpful. After an already great stay, his warm conversation and kindness were a perfect send-off and left us with such a positive final impression.

Great accomodation and usability. Appliances and rooms were great quality and the ski gear store room is perfect. Pick up and drop off to the hotel from the bus was very easy and a shout out to James from Perth for the hospitality, he was great to chat to, very insightful, and engaged with us all very well. Thank you for the stay we greatly enjoyed our time.

I chose this apartment hotel when I came to Niseko for skiing. The reception staff was very enthusiastic and was happy to help me send my ski bag to Tokyo when I checked out, and arranged a shuttle bus to take us to Kutchan Station. Although it is not a ski in & out, it is very convenient to have a free shuttle bus nearby! In addition, the balcony is a natural refrigerator, which is great! Finally, the employees here basically speak English, so it might be a little inconvenient if you don’t know English!

Great location, close to restaurants, ski rental and ski area. Easy walk up for the station, would not be great with the ski equipment. Clean apartment and well supplied with all that you may need for a short or long stay. Easy check-in and check-out. Well recommended.

Stayed for a week in February in the Studio Apartment. Just right for a couple, small kitchen with microwave/oven, sink, fridge and appliances (no cooktop). OK for breakfast or food truck meals, but a bit small for cooking dinner. I would not expect to entertain guests here :) That’s OK since many restaurant choices around, but don’t forget to make reservations. Large locker for ski gear and washer/dryer/shower on the ground floor. Conveniently located, clean new-ish construction with elevator. Ski shops, restaurants, convenience stores and food trucks nearby. There was always parking space since most renters did not have a car. Walkable to the Hirafu lifts, although would be a bit long uphill if wearing ski boots. If you don’t have a car, inquire about the shuttle service. There is also a bus stop nearby to get you to Hanazono, Niseko Vil. and An’nupiri ski areas. Whether the staff at the front desk at The Maples or the maintenance/cleaning staff, very courteous and helpful.

Great place in the centre of town, lots of space, perfect for us. Nice seating which you don’t always get. Easy apartment to live in and has everything you need. Good secure ski locker. Thanks Arthur, you’re amazing especially when I hurt myself skiing. To Louis and Lewis for going out of your way with transport. To the three of you for restaurant and food truck suggestions and the onsen recommendation.

Best Value in Town
This place is amazing. Its right next to the center of the Hirafu town where all the action (food) and transportation is. Lawson also right next door. Rooms are small but smartly designed, I felt more comfortable here than in many other larger hotel rooms. Staff was friendly and wanting to go above and beyond to help me get out of a jam when there were no taxis in town.
