Atami, 11 32 Minaguchicho Atami Shi Shizuoka 413 0016 Jap 🧭 Map
The open-air bath was surrounded by bamboo thickets and was very nice. The location was within walking distance to see the fireworks, and the food was delicious. This is a ryokan that I would like to come back to during the fireworks season. Can I just make a reservation? I'm worried about that. The size of the inn was a small and calm Japanese style inn. I thought it was close to this place before...

Atami, 1484-5 Shimotaga 🧭 Map
When our original hotel cancelled on us upon arrival and left us stranded with nowhere to stay, we found Fontaine Bleu — and it turned out to be the best possible outcome. From the very beginning, Bidur Padel was outstanding. He was kind, professional, and efficient, helping us immediately in a time of real stress. His hospitality made all the difference, and we are so grateful. The hotel itself is...

Rooms and services are very good. Location is a bit far from center of Atami city. No restaurants nearby. The breakfast and dinner if the hotel are super good.
Amazing food and a wonderful hot spring. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing time here! We booked the villa with the private onsen and received a wonderful service. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, the food was fabulous and the onsen was relaxing. At the end we were happy for the great value for our money.
I cannot recommend this enough. This is a MUST DO when you are in Japan. The rooms are amazing, the service is top notch, and the food is some of the best that I ever had, without exaggeration. I only stayed for one night, but wish I stayed longer. The service: All the staff are so attentive. They generally speak English, so good for tourists. They properly explained everything for us, as well as...
The landscaping is so amazing. The buildings are seamlessly blended in the nature. The only sounds are from birds and water. The service is top grade. Mariko, our host was so warm. Our 3 year old was spoiled with gifts from the staff. Would love to come back.
Amazing service, and lovely facility. Clean rooms. Private bathhouse is available. The kaiseki meals are incredible. We had a very peaceful and relaxing time.

Atami, 7-79, Kaiko-cho 🧭 Map
Affordable, mid tier hotel with decent everything. View is pretty great and the private onsen is alright but sometimes crowded. Food was okay and the showers in the room was terrible.
I enjoyed it. It was a bit disappointing that I could only reserve a smoking room, but it was nice to be able to enjoy the hot springs in a room with a great view. I also enjoyed the bus ride to Atami Station. I'm making great memories.
You can call to arrange a shuttle from Atami Station to the hotel, but walking is really inconvenient because Atami is a hilly area, and the hotel is located on a hill. If you have luggage, it will be quite a challenge. The hotel is small and not a star-rated hotel; it's just a regular onsen ryokan (traditional hot spring inn), and it's a bit old. The onsen is on the basement floor of an annex. We...
It was difficult to book a hotel during the fireworks festival, so I ended up choosing this hotel, a ten-minute drive from the station. It was surprisingly good value for money, and the staff were foreign and could communicate in English.
Everything is very good. The service is very good. However, the location is a bit far from the station and there is a big slope. However, there is a free shuttle in the morning. Lunch and dinner require reservations. The private bath has a nice view. The receptionist can speak Japanese and English. If you only speak English, it may be a little difficult to communicate.
The room was very comfortable, clean and tidy

Uminohana, Atami1 / 10

Atami, 413-0102 Shizuoka, Shimotaga 37-9, Japan 🧭 Map
Uminohaha Ryokan is truly legit. The food was amazing, and the private room onsen offered stunning views. The driver went above and beyond, proactively contacting us when we were running late and coming to pick us up. I don’t understand the low rating because this was truly an authentic experience. Exceptional service all around. Highly recommend this place!
My wife and I enjoyed the experience at Uminohana. Its uniquely positioned on the hill and you go through crooked and winding roads through the charming residential area to suddenly come upon it. The food was very good and service was excellent. As with many other things in Atami, the level of English for us non-Japanese speaking travelers was limited, but could be managed. The private onsen with...
I went there with my good friends. ・I am very happy with the wide variety of free drinks. ・I am happy to receive a cake upon arrival. ・There are many foreign employees, and they are generally friendly. Everyone is cute. ・The bath has a nice view and feels good. (It is better to make a reservation for a private bath early, after arriving at the room, make a reservation with your own smartphone) ・Rice...
The Ryokan with scenic bay view. Fully service nice staff. Excellent onsen (indoor and outdoor)
I would highly recommend staying here. The service was INCREDIBLE. They picked us up and dropped us off at the train station...in the pouring rain. Though neither of us speak Japanese, they went out of their way to explain the wonderful, fresh meals for both breakfast and dinner. Our room had a private bath out on the patio which was incredible. However, your can also rent a much larger private onsen...
Beautiful onsen with private bath in the room and two bigger bath houses. Fantastic looking sea food, very fresh, but a bit plain for my palate. On the pricey side, too.

Izuajiro-onsen Shoufuen, Atami1 / 30
6.8
Atami, 966 Shimotaga, Atami-Shi, Shizuoka, Ajiro, Shizuoka, Japan 🧭 Map
The skin-beautifying water has a pH of 9.5, which is rare in this area. Your skin will feel moisturized and smooth the moment you soak. What's more, the spring water is drinkable! It's tasteless and odorless, so it's like drinking hot water, but it's said to be good for your stomach and intestines... You can also take a walk in the garden and enjoy views of the ocean! It's an inn that feels like a...
If you're looking for high-quality food and hot springs at a great price, Shofuen is the only choice. It offers the best value for money and the best service in the Atami area. They offer a free shuttle from Ajiro Station, making it easy to get to by train. It was only a 15-minute local train ride from Atami. The shuttle was also available in the morning, so I could catch it after breakfast, which...
Overall, it could be rated excellent as a local ryokan but may not be ready for international clients. It has won Rakuten bronze award 2023. I am particular about smoking and the non smoking room was full of smoky smell. Also surprised that I have to set up my own tatami bed etc. Staff dependent on google translate but stranded when there's no WiFi. They could have translated common phrases in...
This is a traditional Japanese inn(ryokan). If you would like to Japanese style, it’s highly recommended. Because meals are good, Japanese garden is beautiful, spas are good, and the fare is reasonable.
One of the best place in hidden local Onsen area. Good view from rooms, good food, and great Onsen experience.

New Welcity Yugawara, Atami1 / 25

Atami, 107 Izumi 🧭 Map
Take the free shuttle bus directly from Yugawara Station. The room is a single without a bathtub or shower, but there are plenty of outlets and USB ports. However, there are only two hangers. The food was delicious. The hot springs in the new building are mostly for day trips, and it can be uncomfortable when there are noisy groups of guests. The main building is a little old, but it is only for overnight...
I was surprised at how luxurious the food was for the price. Thank you very much.
There are no bathing facilities in the room, it is a bit troublesome to go to the hot spring bath; the indoor hot spring is very small, it is recommended to go directly to the outdoor one; the breakfast buffet options are many, dinner is very rich.
I think it's a great place for couples to go. The fireworks were amazing. The bus ride costs about 1,600 yen per person.
Izuminoyu was very good. What's more, guests could use the baths for free the next day, and they even lent us towels. This is a very reasonable hotel, so I would like to use it again.
The room was clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly, the food was delicious and sumptuous, and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip with friends. I stayed here with the intention of relaxing in my room, and it was exactly what I expected, and the price was reasonable, so it was a great memory.

Atami, 5-8 Wadahamaminamicho 🧭 Map
This time to Atami to see the fireworks festival, because two months ago decided the trip, so the hotel has very few options, this hotel is very far from Atami Station, if you have to walk almost 20 minutes, the middle of the road is also uphill, and in the morning only two shuttle bus to the station
Staying on the day of the fireworks festival was a poor value. For over 4,000 yen per night, I was given a room on a lower floor with no view of the fireworks. The set meals were replaced with a buffet, and the facilities and food felt like a typical hot springs inn, completely lacking the refined feel of the photos. We watched the fireworks from the hotel's rooftop. Reviews and maps suggest the hotel...
In addition to the excellent location for watching the fireworks, the facilities are old, and the bathroom is particularly awkward. The side door of the sink cannot be opened when the toilet door is opened. We booked a one-night stay with two meals, and the other facilities, hygiene, services, and food are average. If you want to watch the fireworks, you can stay in other better hotels. It is not recommended...
An ordinary hot spring hotel, far from the JR station and requires a bus ride. The advantage is the price.
Facilities: The hotel is a bit old but the hygiene is acceptable I just came here to watch the fireworks. The location is quite good You can see the fireworks from the balcony and don’t have to worry about the crowds after the fireworks are over You need to go to the restaurant to eat the evening banquet at the hotel. It is very exquisite
The location of the hotel is very good! It's a 5-minute walk to the ferry terminal, which is very convenient for a round-trip day trip to Hatsujima. The hot spring ♨️ is quite satisfactory, and the overall internal facilities are old, especially the toilet flushing, rumbling. But! The accommodation includes breakfast and dinner, which is really great. The dinners for three days are different, with...

Check in process was not foreign friendly. The room was very old style with no private bath/ shower. Furniture with slight damage and worn carpet. 1960-1970-ish hotel. Hotel app needs work, not easy to use. Restaurant staff were very attentive. Indoor and outdoor hot spring bath were nice.
Most of the guests are adults, so it is quiet and calm. However, it is far from the station, and although there is a shuttle bus, the number of people allowed is limited, so it feels a little difficult to access for those who do not have a car. This time, it rained on both days and we could not see the ocean, but the room was nice and it became a good memory. The staff were also kind and the food was...
This hotel is located in Izuyama, Atami. You can enjoy the view of Sagami Bay from the lobby area (and from the rooms). When I arrived at the hotel parking lot, there was a slight smell of sulfur. The lobby lounge offers a welcome drink service (red and white wine, cold drinks, snacks) from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can drink coffee and mineral water from the machine at any time. The coffee was lukewarm...
The hotel is far away from Atami city and transportation is inconvenient. The hotel room is older. The large bathhouse is nice. The dinner was rich and filling. Breakfast is Japanese style, relatively average.
We stayed in a Japanese-style twin room for one night. We checked in by obtaining a QR code in advance. The elderly front desk staff was not very accommodating. We only got vague answers to our questions, important items were omitted, and we had to go and get a QR code paper when ordering drinks at dinner. It is a difficult facility for middle-aged and elderly people. No wonder there are so few elderly...
There is a hotel shuttle bus from Atami Station that requires a reservation. The ocean can be seen from the terrace of the room. There is free water and orange juice in the refrigerator. There is a large public bath and an open-air bath, but there is no shower in the room. There is a basket bag that can be used for transportation. There are three showers in the large public bath. It is a compact...
