Affordable, mid tier hotel with decent everything. View is pretty great and the private onsen is alright but sometimes crowded. Food was okay and the showers in the room was terrible.

I enjoyed it. It was a bit disappointing that I could only reserve a smoking room, but it was nice to be able to enjoy the hot springs in a room with a great view. I also enjoyed the bus ride to Atami Station. I'm making great memories.

You can call to arrange a shuttle from Atami Station to the hotel, but walking is really inconvenient because Atami is a hilly area, and the hotel is located on a hill. If you have luggage, it will be quite a challenge. The hotel is small and not a star-rated hotel; it's just a regular onsen ryokan (traditional hot spring inn), and it's a bit old. The onsen is on the basement floor of an annex. We decided to stay in Atami for one night at the last minute, and most hotels were already fully booked. Because Japanese people are also on vacation, the prices were five times higher than usual 😓. It was just okay for a casual stay.

I've stayed in more than a dozen Japanese cities, but this is the worst hotel experience. The hotel is on the mountain. I have a bad back and my lumbar disc has come out. There are no convenience stores nearby! Very inconvenient

It was difficult to book a hotel during the fireworks festival, so I ended up choosing this hotel, a ten-minute drive from the station. It was surprisingly good value for money, and the staff were foreign and could communicate in English.

Everything is very good. The service is very good. However, the location is a bit far from the station and there is a big slope. However, there is a free shuttle in the morning. Lunch and dinner require reservations. The private bath has a nice view. The receptionist can speak Japanese and English. If you only speak English, it may be a little difficult to communicate.

Pretty disappointed with this hotel.

I will not recommend any international tourist to this hotel at all. You will leave with a bitter taste for your holiday.

I wasn’t expecting a fantastic room as I read the reviews and prepared for an old building.

Location: Nice sea front view. Up on a scary steep slope so make sure your car can handle that. Located on a quiet stretch of atami sea front road.

Room & building: old, dusty and full of spider webs every where around the hotel.
We came into a clean room with clean toilet. The room claimed to be non smoking but the cigarette smell was obvious and lingering no matter how we air the room.

Worse of all, we came into the room and was told by the counter staffs that we have to do our own bed (tatami). Drag out from the cabinets and put on the sheet on our own. I was totally astonished as I have been to so many different hotels, resorts in Japan. None of them need the guests to do the bed on our own.

The room came with a view nothing else is good.

Dinner and breakfast: other than the free flow of drinks and alcohol, i really run out of good comments. The beef set consist of 5 pieces of beef and random vegetables. The buffet of side dishes are very very disappointing in variety and quality. I cannot believe I pay for $230 per pax! Totally don’t worth the money at all!

The breakfast continues the bad variety and quality from dinner. It’s just the management issue.

We had a wonderful stay.
We were surprised by the all you can eat crab in the mini buffet. The food change depending on the season but if they give this much service during non peak season I am quite looking forward to what they offer during the peak seasons. The 3 private onsen were on a first come first serve basis so no hassle reserving one is a plus. The four of us managed to get in 3 times each solo. The staffs are very polite and helpful. Our only concern was the quite stiff slope on the way to the hotel but otherwise it was truly a wonderful and peaceful stay.

The location is quite remote. If there is no hotel car to pick you up, you need to hike up the steep slope, which is quite tiring. You can also see signs of the hotel's age.
