Izuajiro-onsen Shoufuen in Atami

This is a traditional Japanese inn(ryokan). If you would like to Japanese style, it’s highly recommended. Because meals are good, Japanese garden is beautiful, spas are good, and the fare is reasonable.

The skin-beautifying water has a pH of 9.5, which is rare in this area. Your skin will feel moisturized and smooth the moment you soak.
What's more, the spring water is drinkable! It's tasteless and odorless, so it's like drinking hot water, but it's said to be good for your stomach and intestines...

If you're looking for high-quality food and hot springs at a great price, Shofuen is the only choice. It offers the best value for money and the best service in the Atami area.

They offer a free shuttle from Ajiro Station, making it easy to get to by train. It was only a 15-minute local train ride from Atami. The shuttle was also available in the morning, so I could catch it after breakfast, which made it very convenient.

The stunning garden and ocean views were a tranquil and relaxing space. The room wasn't luxurious, but it was clean and comfortable.

The food was exceptionally delicious, and the value for money was truly impressive. I was surprised that such a meal could be had for around 20,000 yen. The menu was sumptuous, with sashimi, spiny lobster, abalone, shabu-shabu, and lobster, and the seasoning was delicious.

The hot spring water is drinkable, with a pH of 9.5, making it a skin-beautifying alkaline simple spring. It supposedly has the same effects as lotion, leaving your skin feeling silky smooth.

I recommend this place for those looking for a relaxing, quiet, and cost-effective way to enjoy food and hot springs!
