Rooms and services are very good. Location is a bit far from center of Atami city. No restaurants nearby. The breakfast and dinner if the hotel are super good.

Worst ryokan service I ever experience in Japan. Lobby was greeted by Nepalese staff whom is not fluent in English, and rush me to my assigned room, however I would like to get my room upgrade instead. They don’t know much about the hotel and the only thing they wanna do is get me out of their sight asap. Language is not the problem but it’s attitude. With my Chinese legal name, I was automatically assigned with a mandarin speaker to take care of my dining, but actually I don’t speak mandarin. I told my server that I understand mandarin but just really poor in spoken Chinese. My punishment comes after that course by course is dumped in front of me without explanation. When I asked her what kind of fish of the sashimi, she asks me to refer back to my English menu, however there is also missing in the menu. Breakfast service is the same, that I asked her will i figure out what I eat by myself. She smiles and walked away. To my astonishment, I didn’t know not speaking mandarin nor Japanese needs to be punished in here. If you are foreigner, think twice before coming. If you are mandarin speaker, service standard cannot even be compared to Taiwan nor China. What a waste of time and money.

We had an amazing time here!
We booked the villa with the private onsen and received a wonderful service. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, the food was fabulous and the onsen was relaxing.
At the end we were happy for the great value for our money.

I cannot recommend this enough. This is a MUST DO when you are in Japan. The rooms are amazing, the service is top notch, and the food is some of the best that I ever had, without exaggeration. I only stayed for one night, but wish I stayed longer.

The service:
All the staff are so attentive. They generally speak English, so good for tourists. They properly explained everything for us, as well as provided top notch service that it would be hard to find elsewhere

The food:
The food was on another level. Local ingredients, and prepared very well. I was really impressed with the overall quality of what was provided. I left each meal feeling very full and happy with what they served

The rooms:
We had the room with the private onsen and it did not disappoint. The overall environment is very quiet and serene

Overall, would definitely recommend!

The landscaping is so amazing. The buildings are seamlessly blended in the nature. The only sounds are from birds and water. The service is top grade. Mariko, our host was so warm. Our 3 year old was spoiled with gifts from the staff. Would love to come back.

Amazing service, and lovely facility. Clean rooms. Private bathhouse is available. The kaiseki meals are incredible. We had a very peaceful and relaxing time.

This was my first time at a Japanese hot spring and I loved it. The breakfast the next morning was great too. Overall it was a great experience for me but I also had the benefit of going with a Japanese native. I was impressed with the room we stayed in and the beautiful garden outside of our door
