The location and the quality of the breakfast were excellent. The French toast was especially delicious, and I'll definitely include breakfast next time I stay.
It was also great that I could watch Netflix and YouTube on the TV.
Very clean, rich breakfast 👍
Had a lovely stay here. Large rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly and kind service from the staff.
Great hotel. Spacious rooms with big beds. Good location, very friendly and polite, real omotenashi service.
Large room and friendly owners. Stayed one night on our way to Tokyo. When we come back to Karuizawa we would like to stay longer.
Particularly love the surroundings of woods and holiday house estate. Peaceful neighbor and nice to take a walk around the area. The staff were friendly and funny. The hotel is not so far from Old Karuizawa Street. 20 minutes walk to the Train station where there’s a big shopping mall and place to eat. There’s also local bus running circle to get to the station and around the area for other sightseeing...

Free pickup and dropoff are very limited with certain hour for one side. The entertainment area is an advantage plus point!
Hotspring all day, which is great
Breakfast: 3/5
The location and staff were great, and the breakfast was delicious.
It was a much nicer and more stylish hotel than I expected!
Thank you very much for the fun time! (´▽`)
Everything was great. The room was large and comfortable, the staff were polite, and complimentary coffee and tea were provided. The parking lot was spacious, so there was no need to worry about finding a spot when returning late.
The only downside was that I booked a one-night stay with two meals included, but I was disappointed.
Dinner: The semi-buffet wasn't a problem, but there was only one main...
The hot spring was nice, and the rooms were clean.
The drink service in the lounge was very much appreciated.
The furniture was old and disappointing.
The breakfast buffet was Western-style and delicious, but personally I would have preferred rice.

Very nice service and attentive staff.
if you are driving, location is not a concern, otherwise you might need to reconsider. Staff are nice and helpful. I didn't expect there is a bath operating overnight which is very nice to have when you have a long travel day.
This is probably my third time staying here. I've heard that the situation at ryokans is tough these days, but from the lantern at the entrance to the cozy large bath, the heating is excellent, and the sliding screens don't look unfashionable and don't let the heat escape, I always feel the beauty of the Japanese style.
The welcome was excellent.
They escorted us out the door upon departure, which was very friendly.
Breakfast included watermelon.
This is a historic hotel with plenty of books on the first floor. The sofa chairs in the Japanese-style room were very comfortable.
The guests were mainly Japanese, with a few European and American guests.
The room was nice and the breakfast and dinner were also very good
Traditional hotel at the end of famous shopping street
They provided plubic bath(No onsen) for guest
Tatami room is nice , and Breakfast was not so bad.
Hotel is in good location to enjoy yoyr stay and workout to sightseeing Karuizawa nearby.

A pleasant stay in Dormy Club Karuizawa.
Nice Onsen and great hospitality.
quiet and comfortable environment
It's alright. There was no extra charge for bringing children. The only downside is that there's pick-up and drop-off at the old Karuzu Station, which only runs twice a day, and only once a day in the morning. Driving is the best option. It's also fine for spending two days in this area. The hot springs are very nice. If you don't have a car, you'll have to take a taxi. It's inconvenient.
The room was comfortable and the staff were polite.
very helpful and polite staff, available to check in even at10.
The room was clean and had a private bathroom. The hotel facilities were excellent, the open-air hot spring was very comfortable, and there were complimentary cold drinks. The hotel staff were very helpful and assisted with taking photos. They could also arrange a drop-off service in advance and took me to the Stone Church.

The food was delicious! The service was great!
Everything that we need is ready. It is a spotless and peaceful place.
We brought our child to a nearby summer camp and stayed at Willie's Hotel for six nights. The hotel owner and friendly staff helped us pick up and drop off our child at the camp. During the day, we rode bikes or walked around, enjoying the cool 26-degree breeze of Karuizawa's summer! I've been to Japan many times, but this time, finding Willie's Hotel felt familiar and welcoming. Every morning, we...
Breakfast is excellent with fresh ingredients and cozy environment. Staff is super nice and helpful and provide extra ordinary service than expected. Highly recommend.
This small but charming hotel is within walking distance of Naka-Karuizawa Station and the Stone Church, in a very quiet and pleasant environment. The renovated rooms are simple yet elegant, and the bedding is of excellent quality. The owners, a warm and sincere couple, provided us with many conveniences during our trip. Our short vacation in Wellies not only allowed us to connect with nature but also...
The British boss is enthusiastic and the hotel staff are very gentle and kind. As long as we have any needs, they will give priority to them, whether it is picking up skis or picking up at the station. After traveling so many times, Karuizawa is the only place that makes me feel warm and welcoming. The hotel may not be the most luxurious, but it is definitely my only first choice!

It was a lovely pet friendly hotel. Although it is somehow in the middle of nowhere, it is super easy to find. The room itself is clean. One note is that it's 2 storey hotel so no elevator. As it was my last night I need to repack everything which means 2 big lugguages on the stairs but the staff was even kind enough to help me with one. Overall, decent experience. Only that sprung bed isn't the most...
Room is huge and receptionist was extremely polite. Smooth check-in process too. Will visit again!
The location is great because it's close to the ski resort and outlet mall, but there aren't many other places to go in the area, so the choices are limited. Overall, it's clean, but rather old-fashioned, more like a traditional guesthouse than a hotel. The rooms are dark and poorly lit. The toilets are very small. This hotel also welcomes dogs, so it's somewhat like a dog hotel. There's absolutely...
The hotel's front desk hours are 9:00-21:00. We arrived at around 8:45 pm, and the front desk staff were very helpful in arranging things for us and even helped us carry our luggage upstairs. There is no elevator on the second floor of the hotel, but they were very considerate, and the soundproofing was excellent.
Accommodation was good and convenient, just a 10 mins drive from karuizawa station. There’s also free parking.
The room was bigger than I expected and the environment was comfortable.

Nice environment and good service
The room was clean and the service was good.
Use without meals on a trip to Karuizawa.
The hotel is clean, not so big, and I don't have breakfast, so I don't receive the hotel service, but I stayed without any complaints ^ _ ^
It seems that there were many nice restaurants in the neighborhood, so it might have been good to do some more preliminary research.
thank you for helping me.

The location is great, and the activities are well-organized. The shuttle service to various attractions is super convenient. However, the room layout is quite odd; my husband hit his head on the beam at least 5 times...
You can take the resort bus to Hoshinoya; the food and prices at the village canteen are quite good. From the JR station to the hotel, you can only take a taxi.
The room was great. The Stone Church is right behind the hotel, and Yulin Town is next door. There are also restaurants and hot springs nearby. It's fantastic!
The hotel was surprisingly nice. There's a church nearby, and a shuttle bus to the cafeteria. However, the cafeteria food was really bad. The Karuizawa area is somewhat similar to Aranya. Also, you'll need to take a taxi frequently. It's suitable for a vacation, but don't have high expectations for the food.
Superb! Very convenient for getting to Hoshino Onsen, with a shuttle bus. The bunk beds were fun, and the kids had a blast. The room had two separate spaces, which was great 👍. There were also two washing machines and two dryers, so we could do laundry every day.
The hotel has a nice, quiet environment and offers plenty of self-service options, making it more suitable for young people than families.

It was a shame that there was no large public bath, but I was able to relax in the quaint building.
The hot springs ♨️ are very good.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located about a ten-minute drive from the city center (if you drive), which is a good value for the price.
On the downside, the hotel itself is a bit dated (though definitely clean!), and there's not much to see nearby.
Convenient location: Close to the tourist attractions in Karuizawa, and the price was reasonable.
The soundproofing of the room is average, and the location of the hotel is not very convenient. It is too far from Naka Karuizawa and takes more than 20 minutes to walk.
Good location and serve good food.

We were truly happy with our stay. In fact, we regret only staying for one night—it simply wasn’t enough for us.
The room amenities were exceptional, featuring L’Occitane shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which made the experience feel even more luxurious. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary bottled water chilled in the refrigerator.
Breakfast was absolutely a must...
Great service staff and hotel that gave an old school charm. Breakfast was a continental style set which was great.
The room was dated but comfortable
The room was quite spacious, even by Japanese standards for hotels. The environment was lovely, and it happened to snow during my stay, making the garden views absolutely beautiful!
Nice and quiet area of town. Would be better if there's indoor passage to different building.
This French-style house has a lot of history and is nestled in a quiet, forested area with great air quality. It's very close to Old Karuizawa and convenient for visiting Shiraito Falls and Kumoba Pond. The service is very polite, and the interesting old-fashioned key adds to its nostalgic charm. It is a bit pricey, though; weekday rates are much better!
This hotel is a quiet, tastefully decorated old villa. We stayed here and took the hotel's shuttle for skiing and shopping in the mornings. The arrangements were very well-organized. In the evenings, the hotel even gave marshmallows to the kids to roast over the fireplace. It's perfect for families.

The owner was very friendly and very nice
Cute and lovely little hotel! Comfortable accomodations, and the owner even drove us to the train station in the morning for free. Thank you so much!
Too far to be close
More of a guesthouse than a hotel. The owners live next door and are very nice. The room was quite spartan like a dorm room but en-suite. It was clean but really had no charm. The biggest problem was that the guesthouse was too far to walk to the shops or old karuizawa. So if you have to drive in why not just get a real hotel somewhere in sakudaira for much cheaper price? ...

Amazing very pet friendly hotel, big rooms, nicely renovated, great service.
This was my first trip to Japan with my dog. I found this hotel online and it seemed pretty good. HK$2500 wasn't expensive for peak season, the rooms were spacious, and there was even a private lawn for the dog to play on. Breakfast and dinner were included, so there wasn't much to complain about.
The only downside was the slightly inconvenient location. I'd say next time I'd like to choose the other...
Very good room, i did not stay with a pet but still very decent rooms. Staff was so polite, I felt like royalty.
The establishment is not the newest, but I can see it is well maintained.
Wife picked it out as a vacation for us and dogs. This place is awesome for dogs you can take them everywhere. The food is top notch.
Very good experience. Dog friendly hotel
Two families stayed here, the parents brought their dog, and I brought my 2-year-old child.
I was impressed by the restaurant staff who were friendly not only to dogs but also to small children.

Large Hotel with onsen, a Souvenir / alimentary Shop and a beautiful Garden.
The room was huge with a living room and plenty of space for my youngest to roam around,
Staff was polite and explain to us in details during checked in,

Breakfast had vast varieties of food to choose from
The only cons was we were given a room on the far end of the corridor and it did took about 5mins walk from the room to the open bath...
I wanted to visit the Shiraito waterfall and snow in Karuizawa so i thought it's a good chance to stay in a nice resort if it's not so expensive and Lucky I found this property which i think the price was reasonable and my experience from this stay was so enjoyable. The hotel has shuttle service to Karuizawa station or about 15 mins walk. The room was big and in Japanese style super cozy and the balcony...
It is 10 minutes away from Karuizawa Station, very convenient!
The hotel is a large hot spring resort club, mostly inhabited by Japanese. Although the breakfast restaurant is small, it is very well arranged, which shows that the service is of high quality!
To take a hot spring bath, you need to bring your room card and towel! The temperature is just right, and it’s especially comfortable outside!
Conveniently located, only 10 minutes to the outlet! The environment and facilities are very beautiful! Spacious venue with great views! However, the service still has room for improvement, such as the lack of a send-off service and the lack of towels provided in the spa area.
The hotel facilities are very complete, there is a microwave in the room, the children especially like the tatami and outdoor balcony, where you can see the scenery
The hotel also has free hot spring bathing, which is very good
There are also many varieties of buffet breakfast in the morning, which is very satisfactory. It is recommended to book a hotel with breakfast.

This established inn dates back to the Meiji era. While the current building isn't original, it's essentially a *ryokan* (traditional Japanese inn), despite being branded as a hotel.

This is a perfect secluded nature hotel in Karuizawa. Staffs are very friendly. Hotel is not too big. Hotel is clean and well maintained, however, there may be some incense smell due to insect repellent. Booked 3 rooms for 7 guests. Toilets are available in-rooms. Quaint, with good food and reasonable prices.
A newly renovated, charming traditional hotel offering excellent service. The breakfast and dinner were simple set menus, but perfectly delicious and satisfying. The private onsen was complimentary and offered a lovely ambiance; it operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so no reservations are possible. There are a few small steps, which could be a bit inconvenient if you have large luggage,...
A lovely place to stay with an amazing private onsen available. The staff were pleasant and accommodating with my lack of Japanese. The area is a national park so entry at night is pitch black when driving in

Delighted with this small hotel near old Ginza Karuizawa. Merely 8 minutes walk to the church shopping street. 3 minutes drive from Karuizawa station. Hotel is clean and toiletries well provided. Japanese breakfast is good. Counter receptionists service was great. Thank you
The location is a bit far from the train station. 950m base on Google map.
The coffee here was an unexpected delight! The beans had a rich aroma and a smooth taste, with a perfect balance of acidity and bitterness. A cup in the morning really woke me up for a lazy travel day. The warm mug was a thoughtful touch. I never expected hotel coffee to be on par with an independent coffee shop; it added a bright, pleasant surprise to my stay. I'd definitely come back again just for...
It's a bit far from the station; I walked here myself. Karuizawa was very quiet and deserted at night. A 25-minute walk from my accommodation, there's a large drugstore (the Japanese name in the picture is missing, I can't pronounce it). There's a decent public bathhouse where you can soak. That night, I bought Nissin instant noodles from the counter, drank some Calpis, and went to sleep. The staff...
