A great onsen ryokan, I'll definitely stay here again next time. Excellent value for money.

General impression:
This is a super decent house with an excellent view of the kinosaki village. You could feel the management put lots of efforts to maintain the best comfort of every guest and the whole team operated under warm & effective process.
While we are having breakfast or dinner in the dining area, their staff make a very efficient turn to change our yukata, towels, bottles of water, making up mattress on our room. That impressed us so much!
Onsen quality:
The onsen inside the house is well managed and run until mid night. We can go outside with the free pass of public onsens, but we also enjoy ourselves in the in-house onsen because of more accessories provided there. You can feel the onsen owner care about guests more than the public onsens outside.
Dining experience:
We enjoyed the half board experience for 2 nights, especially the 2nd night with the tajima beef sukiyaki. The flavors & taste feed us well. Though breakfast is a bit simple, but we could make up some room in our stomach to enjoy snacks or ice-cream in the village.
My friend & I would definitely give 5 star rating to Yamamotoya, and will recommend our friends to visit you again.

This was my first visit, and I was absolutely captivated by the unfamiliar scenery and the charming, old-fashioned streets. The staff at the inn were incredibly attentive, always making sure I felt comfortable and well-guided. Hearing 'itteらっしゃいませ' (have a good trip/day) when leaving was a lovely touch. It's a place I'd definitely want to return to.

The room was beautiful and the food was delicious. I'm just sad that there was no snow during my visit. If there had been snow, I'm sure it would have been 100 times more stunning!

Beautiful ryokan with amazing service! Great and convenient location to all onsen. We booked with dinner and breakfast and it’s so delicious and fuss free, allowing us to just explore the onsen anytime outside meal time and just return for food.

By far the best hotel/resort experience I ever encountered. Not only did we travel with a family of 5 but we had 10 luggage’s in total which they helped to organise and deliver to our room even though it was really heavy. Accommodated to everything that we need and asked and super welcoming. The small details that they would do have imprinted in my memories for life e.g remembering which shoes we had, prepared our slippers, explaining our meals and providing a blanket without us asking. I hope this reaches out to the manager who put the most effort to making sure we were happy and looked after. We would all recommend this place to our families and friends. 1000/10 S+++

Perfect experience for us, great meals, lovely onsen, too rated service. Was given a pass to try the public bath too. we were so lucky to get a chance to stay at this historic Ryokan. And they were so nice to send us to the station when we enquire about the shuttle bus service, really appreciate it. Look forward to next time.

Pros:
1. The location is perfect, close to all the hot springs and within a 10-minute walk of the station.
2. The Japanese-style room faces the river, offering a great view.
3. The staff are polite and helpful.
4. The convenience of being able to soak in the hot springs right inside your room.
Cons:
1. A large cockroach suddenly ran into the entrance of the room, which was a bit startling.
2. The hot spring pool is open 24 hours a day and isn't cleaned daily, so the walls and bottom are slippery. The bottom is grimy and dirty, with even a clump of hair.

An excellent ryokan. We were greeted right at the entrance, given a key and an onsen pass. They made copies of our passports and immediately showed us to our room. They poured tea and offered us sweet cookies. We were given yukatas. The view was of the main street and the river. The onsen in the ryokan is small, but that's not a problem since you get a pass to all the onsen in the village.
The kaiseki dinner was delicious, with crab and sashimi.
While we were at dinner, they laid out futons for us.
A fantastic ryokan; we'll definitely try to come back again.

I will still give 5 for the great value for money compared to adjacent more expensive accommodation. Hope unsafe things there get improved.

Location: 8-10 minutes walk to the train station. Near Family Mart! In the heart of Kinosaki onsen touristy street.

Service: When I arrived around 4pm,there is no one to help me carry my heavy luggage up to the 3rd floor. There appears to be no elevator.

Room and Facility: Room has enough space. But the lavatory is so bad that the faucet can burn your skin in the winter. There should be some safety device. The stair steps are so small that wearing wooden slippers is a safety risk. You can litterally fall. Nevertheless, the private onsen is very good. It does not smell like chlorine. The woody scent is relaxing and memorable.

Welcome lounge and Breakfast: Warm and welcoming staff at the welcome lounge and breakfast. The freebies are limited as well as the time you can enjoy free but still delicious and well done. Beautiful cafe

Amenities: beautiful free rental tradional dress with a variety of options.

I still recommend.

I stayed here for two nights and had such a warm, friendly experience. The breakfast was great and they even accommodated my vegetarian needs. You have the option to rent bicycles at the same front desk you check in at which was also super convenient.

We stayed 2 nights half boards at Koyado Enn. This is beyond awesome experience in terms of location (very close to JR station), wonderful services with doable English communication + scrumptious breakfast and dinner. Oh forgot to mention its happy hour drink in the afternoon which we enjoyed after public onsens hopping; we had sparkling plum wine and hot/cold sake! Thank you, Koyado Enn!

The hotel staff was an absolute joy and helped me with any issues I had. Extremely welcoming and very nice. There was a trainee named Nguyen Thi Dung who helped me a lot and really made me feel welcome. The private baths were sublime and the food service was some of the best I have had personally. Definitely a wonderful place to stay at if you want to visit kinosaki onsen.
