Cozy and clean budget hotel

Hokkaido is a very unique city, and this is a very cost-effective hotel. Outside the window is the Sea of ​​Japan, and you can see many seagulls. The house is not too small, has all the facilities, and is very comfortable for one person to live in.

Take National Highway 278 directly opposite Hakodate Station and walk for about 20 minutes. You can take the bus. The appearance of the hotel is very conspicuous, but the facilities in the rooms are a bit outdated. It is only close to the seaside, not a bathing beach, and there are few people. However, after dark, you can't see anything and can only hear the sound of the waves. There is a convenience store diagonally across the road, and on the right side of the hotel is a pizza shop. It is convenient for eating and drinking, but the room facilities are a bit old and there are few power sockets. It is recommended to bring your own power strip. There is no mineral water in the room because the tap water can be drank directly. The large refrigerator is useful.

The hotel is not in the city center, but it is very easy to get to the hotel by bus. The room is relatively small and the windows and doors cannot be opened. Since it is centrally air-conditioned, the heating is very warm (hot). If you are not used to the heating opening, it will be a bit The baby is hot and toasty, but if you turn off the air conditioner, there will be no air circulation. So after I communicated with the staff, he gave me a fan. The service was very attentive and the price of the hotel was very affordable. I will definitely stay again.

Spending a few days in and around Hakodate
Initially I wanted to go for a trip by car but I was too late to get both the air ticket and the rental car reservation as I wanted. So I went for a city trip to Hakodate on foot and by public transport. This is very well possible by the famous tramway and buses too.

I stayed at this hotel with a Japanese-style room because my child had a bad sleep.
It was spacious, but the passage to the bath and toilet was narrow. But there is no problem.

There are hot springs, restaurants, and food stores nearby, so it's convenient (by car).

Breakfast had squid sashimi like Hakodate. The grilled fish was not salty and was plump and delicious. I am grateful for the detailed consideration of the staff.
It feels very good to see the sea outside from the big window.

I was able to stay quietly and comfortably.

Budget (business) hotel next to the beach. I'm not sure how convenient this place would be without car, but if you drive this is not too far from most key locations in Hakodate and the parking lot is free.
The rooms are somewhat dated, but clean and reasonably well kept. Free internet is available by ethernet and also through WiFi. Our booking included breakfast. Expect a standard japanese style breakfast (Natto, Tofu, Miso soup, etc.). As far as I know, there are no alternatives offered.
Next to the hotel is a series of restaurants, ideal for a quick dinner. We enjoyed the pizza next door, but that's a different review.
If you have a choice of rooms, definitely pick the ocean side for the view and less street noise. The windows are reasonably well insulated, so that the street noise is not too bad, though.
