I’m a frequent Tokyu hotel guest and this has to be the worst tokyu stay ever. Like all the reviews here, the service is negligible, and the staff at the front desk seems to hate their jobs. Also NONE of the front desk staff seem to speak fluent English which can be annoying given the number of foreign tourists they must receive.
Also do not bother asking for a late checkout, they carve a fee or a...
After 10 stops in Japan I can say Tokyu Stay is my favorite hotel chain. In-room laundry is so nice for long term travel and they always provide the quintessential hotel amenities. No fancy design gimmicks, just everything you need. Location was great a few blocks from Hakodate station and the harbor. Excellent views from the rooftop lounge.
Had a great experience! The hotel is very close to Hakodate Station, only about a five-minute walk with luggage in the snow. Famous burger joints and the Hakodate Morning Market are just a short distance downstairs. From the window, you can see mountains and the sea; the winter snow reflecting the morning sun was exceptionally beautiful. There's an open-air infinity onsen on the top floor directly...
awesome stay. The hotel room had a beautiful window view. the room is equipped with a combines washer and dryer.
The hotel room had a beautiful window view. We even caught a fireworks display, and it was a fantastic viewing spot. The only downsides were that the room was a bit small and there was no complimentary water. However, it did have a washing machine. Overall, I was very satisfied.
The room isn't huge, but there's just enough space to open a large suitcase. It boasts an unbeatable window view, a rooftop onsen, and a washer/dryer combo which is incredibly convenient. It's also very close to the JR station. Excellent value for money! 👍

The room for three people was small, but the layout was compact, and it even had a small dressing table. There was an ensuite bathroom in the room, and other toilets, washbasins, and a shared shower in the hallway. So, even with three people, using the toilet and showering wasn't cramped. The owner was very friendly. A great stay!
He had lice; his wife and kids were bitten, and he even picked one out himself.
The room is nice and clean. Amenities is complete. Location is not far from station and located in quiet environment. The host is humble and helpful. I recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel. Good location. Nice service. Very helpful staff.
The hotel here is great. The owner is a very kind uncle. He originally said that he couldn't check me in after 10pm. After a phone call, he was willing to wait for me until after 11pm. As soon as I entered the house, he carefully wiped the water off my suitcase with a dry cloth. He also gave me a bag of snacks when I checked out.
A typical Japanese-style B&B with two floors, run by the owner and his family with great care, and decorated in Japanese-Western style. Public restrooms but convenient. It's very close to Hakodate Station, and just around the corner is the morning market, making it very convenient for eating and drinking!

Amazing value for money. Clean with breakfast which was a great.
Comfortable room and bed, good location (10 min walk from Hakodate Station) and easy to find.
Comfortable room and bed, good location (10 min walk from Hakodate Station) and easy to find.
Located right next to Hakodate Station, the transportation is incredibly convenient. It's a typical Japanese business hotel – clean and tidy. It's also very close to both main seafood markets and has plenty of restaurants nearby. Great value for money!
Great value, clean, and affordable. The location is a bit awkward, making walks uncomfortable in strong winds. However, the price-performance ratio is excellent, a real bargain! There aren't many staff, but they all seem very dedicated. Thumbs up!
Stayed here several times. Less than ten minutes walking to Hakodate station. Efficient and friendly check-in staff. When I lost something in the laundry, one of the staff members held it for a few days and then rang me to notify me, and bringing it up to my room. Wonderful service. Rooms are clean and big enough for a couple.
hallways, stairs and first floor can get pretty cold - don’t think the heater was on? room smelled musty and bed was squeaking with every toss and turn
The shower was a little old, but the room had been renovated and was very clean. The beds had curtains, so even though it was a guesthouse, I was able to have some privacy. The price was also reasonable, even during the holidays. If I ever go to Hakodate again, I'd definitely like to stay here again.
the location is good, about 1 km far from the shopping street. the room is lovely also.

Guest house Hakodate Bay is super nice and well located it’s an easy walk over to the train station and the owner is super kind and friendly, he’ll even give some really good restaurant recommendations the rooms are a bit packed but well worth it. I highly recommend it for those on the go solo travelers, and if you’re a huge one piece fan there’s a picture frame in the stairwell that has a one piece...
The location is near the station and very close to the scenic spots. It is very convenient. Although it is not until three o'clock, I can go out to play while leaving my luggage there. I can buy things at convenience and make a meal there. The boss is very friendly.

Great views! Friendly staff! Well furnished.
Strongly recommended for young (at heart!) travelers!
The guesthouse has got a very good view. Owners are very friendly.
It's not near the city center really, but I'd say that staying here is worth the extra effort. The view is spectacular, overlooking the bay. The staff is very nice and personable. The rooms are well kept and spacious too. Definitely recommend it
Hakodate is one of my favorite places in Japan, and this guest house is one of the best I've ever stayed in. The location is inconvenient but the owner (who also owns a vintage Ferrari) will happily give you rides to and from the JR station. Plus, you can overlook the city from the guesthouse which is a beautiful view. The house itself was clean and cozy, and incredibly well decorated in vintage things...

Five stars! Thank you very much.
We stayed here as a family of three with an elementary school-aged child during Golden Week. Hotel prices were rising during Golden Week due to events being held in Hakodate City, so we were grateful for the very reasonable price.
The room was on the first floor of a house, but it had a separate entrance and we were able to go out at night.
Unlike a normal hotel, it...
So kind !!! You will love this guesthouse. The hosts were so nice to us. We have rarely met people like them before. Thank you so much for great cake and melon.
The house is well equipped and very very clean, even if the decoration is old school style 😉 (but doesn't really matter)
Never met such a gracious host. The place is beautiful, upon arrival we felt really welcome even though we turned up earlier than what we advised the hosts. We were provided with information about sights and food around hakodate. There was also fruits and matcha cake that were delicious. Upon check out the host offered to drop us off to the station. One of the best experience I have had so far.
Host was really friendly and the house was really clean.
Beds were comfortable.
We enjoyed the welcome gift from the host very much.
Price was affordable.
Only 5 mins walk to the airport express bus station "ベイエリア前(バス )"which costs you 460yen to the airport.
It takes about 35 mins to the airport on the bus from there.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had, I travel a lot. The owner offered to drive me from the train station to the hotel, and to drop off in town. They provided brochures for current local events and were up to date on what was going on that I could go see while I was there.
Great find. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable, spacious, goid facilities. Friendly helpful owner. Highly recommend for families or groups if friends.

Perfect for solo travelers staying for multiple nights.
There is a parking lot, and I was able to park my motorcycle there as well.
It's about a 10-minute walk from the Red Brick Warehouse and has a great view. As soon as I arrived, I was delighted by the cute exterior.
The pension has a very relaxing atmosphere, with the owner and his cheerful wife speaking Osaka dialect.
Although it was just before...
100m from Hachiman slope, 450m from Hakodate mountain, 600m from Red Brick Warehouse... walk to all major sightseeing areas
Very nice location right in the middle of hotspots. Walking distance to the ropeway, redbrick house, Hachimon zankan slope and more. The couple running the place were super friendly & made us feel like home. Room was clean & beautifully presented. 10/10 experience
Very near to Hakodate key sightseeing places like Red Brick House and Rope way. Small quaint underrated place run by an elderly couple. Place is like a cottage style, got a room that can fit around a family of 4. Really clean place. The couple is really hospitable and friendly. The bathroom with tub is amazing and rooms come with heater and airconditioning. Parking is available too. Really hope this...
This pension is in an old Japanese house and the pension is run by a lovely friendly couple. We had a room with an ensuite though most of the rooms do not have ensuites and there are shared bathroom facilities which we did not use. The pension is well located within walking distance to most of the interesting sites and also close to restaurants etc. Very pleasant stay here with a lovely couple running...
Cute BNB in a good location. Breakfast was not included as stated I'm the Google listing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds and a nice clean quiet space.

We stayed with a group of eight adults.
There was a large fireplace in the living room and it was a stylish space.
There's no problem if you have a car, but
it's on a slope so the nearest convenience store might be a bit far if you walk.
Very nice and warm apartment. Perfect for a weekend in Hakodate.
A relaxing place with good access
There are many rooms and toilets, so even a large group can stay comfortably.
It is located in the center of the tourist facilities, so access is excellent.
The spacious living room is also a great place to take a break when you're a little tired.
I would like to use it again.
We rented the entire house for our group of 6 adults and 2 children.
Although it was an old house, it was well-maintained, clean, and had plenty of space for the children to run around.
The veranda-like space accessible from the living room allowed us to feel the fresh air and offered a nice view.
Having several private rooms meant we could sleep separately, and the multiple bathrooms and shower...
Love the homely layout and location of small town hostel at Motomachi. makes moving around easy from the hotel. location is private and not easily seen as you need to walk down a short path to unit which is behind the street front units. it was quiet and we slept well. staff was also very friendly and explained as much as he could during check-in.
I heard that it is run by a local real estate agent, and at first I was very interested in going to events, etc.
Whether there are many friends in the sponsored shops, the inner circle is great on SNS, and it feels difficult for outsiders to enter. Even during events, I had a lot of chat with friends and acquaintances, and they didn't notice the customer service...

I stayed here for an event at Hakodate Arena. It was great that it was close, and the hotel, rooms, and food were all great.
The food was satisfying, but the hot spring was lukewarm, which was disappointing.
I stayed here for one night on a collaborative tour between Hankyu Travel International and Noguchi Kanko. It is located in Yunokawa, across the street from a drug store and next to a Lawson. It is a large inn with a hot spring. There is also an open-air bath, which you can use anytime. There were also high school students staying there on a school trip. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style...
The key location of choosing this large semi-Japanese hotel is the famous Yunokawa hot spring area in Hakodate. First of all, I pointed out that I originally chose Takubokutei because of its reputation and the size of the hotel. However, when I checked in, I saw that the Western-style room I booked was so old and had simple equipment. /The desk, luggage rack, everything is missing, the carpet is dirty...
We were traveling with our child (1 year old).
The food was more delicious than we expected, and they even had curry for kids.
However, it was extremely hot in the room.
Even when we turned on the air conditioner, only warm air came out, so we turned it off. (It may have gotten colder if we had left it on, but we couldn't stand the heat so we turned it off.)
It may not be related, but our child...
It is a specialized hot spring hotel. The room facilities are not new but very clean. There is an open-air hot spring on the roof, which is worth experiencing. The package includes breakfast and dinner, which are all self-service. The food is rich in variety and the ingredients are fresh.
After arriving at Hakodate Station, take tram 2 or 5 to Yukawa Onsen, which is easier to find.
