I’m a frequent Tokyu hotel guest and this has to be the worst tokyu stay ever. Like all the reviews here, the service is negligible, and the staff at the front desk seems to hate their jobs. Also NONE of the front desk staff seem to speak fluent English which can be annoying given the number of foreign tourists they must receive.

Also do not bother asking for a late checkout, they carve a fee or a 10,000yen even for a later check out of 1hour.

The only saving grace is that I came at off season hence I paid only 12,500 yen ($100sgd) per room per night, and would NOT be willing to pay anything more than 13,000 yen per night….

Also it’s right at the area of the morning market so it was nice having access to fresh seafood at your door step. Also my tip is not to get the breakfast as it’s just a ticket that allows you to redeem it from any of their chosen 18 restaurants at the morning market. You can just go on your own and choose whichever restaurant and dish you like?????

Idk man service is very important for a stay and I would not want anyone to leave Hakodate with a bad taste just because the service staff at Tokyu Hakodate was unpleasant..:

After 10 stops in Japan I can say Tokyu Stay is my favorite hotel chain. In-room laundry is so nice for long term travel and they always provide the quintessential hotel amenities. No fancy design gimmicks, just everything you need. Location was great a few blocks from Hakodate station and the harbor. Excellent views from the rooftop lounge.

Had a great experience! The hotel is very close to Hakodate Station, only about a five-minute walk with luggage in the snow. Famous burger joints and the Hakodate Morning Market are just a short distance downstairs. From the window, you can see mountains and the sea; the winter snow reflecting the morning sun was exceptionally beautiful. There's an open-air infinity onsen on the top floor directly facing Mount Hakodate. The view of Hakodate from up high is also quite nice, but I can't show photos since cameras aren't allowed.

The breakfast was unique. They gave us meal tickets to choose from a dozen or so small eateries at the Hakodate Morning Market, mostly serving seafood.

The room also had a washing machine, making it excellent value for money!

Ski equipment is available for rent in the lobby, and I even encountered a 'duck army'!

The hotel room had a beautiful window view. We even caught a fireworks display, and it was a fantastic viewing spot. The only downsides were that the room was a bit small and there was no complimentary water. However, it did have a washing machine. Overall, I was very satisfied.

The room isn't huge, but there's just enough space to open a large suitcase. It boasts an unbeatable window view, a rooftop onsen, and a washer/dryer combo which is incredibly convenient. It's also very close to the JR station. Excellent value for money! 👍

The room is super nice bed is comfortable! The onsen on the 18th floor is great and the lounge has absolutely awesome view! It's 5min walk from the JR station.

The hotel's location is excellent, not far from the morning market and the train station. The hot spring and lounge on the top floor offer fantastic views, perfect for relaxation.

Location was excellent. 5mins walk fr station. Surrounded with shops, restaurants, convenient stores and the morning market is just 3 mins walk away. Can see the harbour n mountains fr hotel room. Beautiful place. Hotel staffs friendly n helpful to my enquiries.
