Excellent, highly recommended for families with children. Kids under 12 stay for free. An extra bed costs 1000 JPY. They also provide complimentary bottled water daily. This is the best hotel in Asahikawa, and it's incredibly convenient for skiers. The room is spacious enough for two adults and one child, and the under-bed storage is a clever use of space. Overall, it's pretty good. The path from the subway station to the lobby is beautiful, with cedar trees, lights, and music, creating a very romantic winter atmosphere. The Japanese breakfast at the hotel is also good, but there were too many Chinese tourists.

There's an airport bus that takes you directly to Nakajima Park, the last stop, and the hotel is just across the street when you get off. Even after a heavy snowfall, the path leading to the hotel was already cleared, so pushing a suitcase was no trouble at all. Excellent place to stay at during the winter. Location was amazing, located right on the ski slope allowing my son to ski in and out of the hotel. Booked this last minute, and it was the only small room left. Even in late March, near the end of the snow season, the hotel was fully booked. The front desk service was excellent, and the room was spacious and comfortable. However, there were some large black bugs in the hot spring water in the public bath. Luckily, I noticed them early and wasn't bitten. Everything else was top-notch!

The room is quite spacious with a beautiful view directly overlooking the ski slopes from the window. We could cook our own meals and even bought ingredients to grill outside. This was the best hotel experience during my Hokkaido trip. I stayed for two nights and it was definitely worth it. The hotel is right by the sea, with ocean views from the room. The private hot spring bath was fantastic, and the breakfast and dinner were much better than at Noboribetsu Ryotei.

They offer complimentary morning yoga on an irregular schedule, which was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, and all the staff members were incredibly kind. Also, I don't think many people know this, but they also have a hot stone sauna, so if you love baths and saunas, you'll find it very fulfilling!

Finally checked off my must-stay hotel! Getting to the hotel from Sapporo was easier than I expected. Zaborin offers a pick-up service from Kuch'an Station. The autumn scenery along the way was breathtaking. This adjective also describes the Michelin-starred dining experience; I personally preferred the breakfast, which was exceptionally refined.

Zaborin has entered into the ranks of one of my favourite ryokans in Japan. We visited in the midst of a very hot summer and even though the ryokan was not air conditioned and we were so warm the whole time (except in the room) we still enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
