The consummate traditional Japanese hospitality experience. So nice, and the staff are friendly and accommodating

The location was superb. It was a lovely slice of Japan and exactly what I had hoped for. It was right up the street from Nakatanidou and that made me VERY happy. It was close to a konbini and plenty of shopping/eateries and all the local attractions one would want to see in Nara. It is also a very quick walk to the subway. Highly recommend.

The room was very clean, and it's only a five-minute walk to the attractions, which is perfect for budget backpackers. The common areas are also very new, and the bathroom has a wet/dry separation. The price is really good too.

The room was clean and comfortable. You could see deer from the balcony, and there were also deer downstairs. It's very close to Nara Park, which is convenient. It's also not too far from Nara Station and Kintetsu Nara Station; you can walk there.

The bunk bed has no curtain for privacy and the snoring noise can be heard clearly as there were 2 other female solo traveller on the first night. Everyone was tired after traveling for quite some time. The next two nights had the whole room to myself as no other female solo traveler booked the hotel which I can sleep in peace. Total I stayed 3 nights there, average standard for everything.

It was my first time staying in a traditional Japanese-style hotel. The room was large and comfortable with tatami. Breakfast and dinner were included. There were 10 dishes before and after dinner, and the taste was very authentic. I saw that most of the guests were Japanese. It is very close to Todaiji Temple and Nara Park on foot, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Kintetsu Train Station.

The food was plentiful and the quality was great! It was located right next to Todaiji Temple, so I was able to go early in the morning when it was quiet.

A very tradional Rakuten with every facility you would expect from it. All staff are really courteous and attentive. The hotel is only about 10 minutes walk from the Nara Park and tourist attractions. Parking is available as well.

We used it for a New Year's party. Because it is far from the station, we requested a shuttle bus. Thank you for accommodating our food allergies. We were limited to two hours, and the food kept coming out one after the other, so it was a little disappointing that we couldn't relax.

The luggage storage service was very helpful. It was close to Kintetsu Nara Station and in the shopping district, so even though I was staying overnight, I didn't have any trouble finding food and it was very comfortable.

This is my second stay. The location is excellent, close to the station. The staff are very friendly.

It is very close to Kintetsu Nara Station. The hotel is located in an alley full of food shops, drug stores, and supermarkets. Tourists from the surrounding area come here to eat and there is a queue at mealtime.

We stayed one night in Nara in this location, very nice Japanese styled house. Position is good, it is just a few steps away from the bus stop and walking distance to most of the places of interest. One point is the air conditioning which is a bit noisy.

What a difficult review to write. This property has such amazing potential. With this review I will hope that by the time you stay here it will be perfect. Needs better lighting, additional mirrors, tea and coffee, the bath room painted white, a really good dusting, and to remove the indoor camera that points at the entrance... As well as an area where my friend was sleeping. Needs washer and dryer...

After staying in some lovely and very different sorts of accommodation already in Japan, Allamanda Nara is our favourite so far. It has an inviting Japanese garden out front and a reception decorated with a small selection of local handicraft. Beautiful room; fantastic food and refreshments.

A quiet hotel located on the outskirts but with a fully equipped restaurant and service inside. Just too far from the city center.

This was good hotel. They have everything you need, but they don’t have an elevator so you will have to carry your bags upstairs. They have parking and 24hr room service. It is a bit away from everything so you will have to walk or drive for dinner.

Very friendly staff and can speak different languages since it's a tourist center. Walking distance within 10mins from stations and right next to a pond. You can see a couple of deers from the window. A convenient store right at B1 which comes in handy - tho it's not 24hrs. There are many activities you can join during daytime. Recommended.

Considering what we paid for 3 people to stay a night before moving on from Nara, this accommodation was great. Had a public bath and even a communal kitchen. Very user friendly. Too bad the convenience store connected to it was closed during our stay, overall a great stay for the price.

It was pretty good overall, but some rooms had an old, musty smell, probably due to their age. The deluxe Japanese-style room was especially great. However, not being able to control the ventilation was a bit annoying. For the price, the room size was quite generous. Next time, I'd like to stay two consecutive days; checking out after just one night this time was really inconvenient.

Lovely stay. We felt truly at home. The host is a very friendly lady. There is a cozy community area with a small but well equipped kitchen. Since we are out early in the mornings for long walks and sightseeing and eat out for lunch we love to stay in in the evenings (especially in the colder weather now) and do some cooking - that was possible here. The location is near both JR nara and kintestu station, it's also 800m far from nara park and naramachi main area. However, it's not on the main street so it's quite dark and silent at night. Room and services are good for solo travelers. I stayed in female dorm, everything is ok. However, you may be awakened at midnight if others go out or do st else. That's so disturbing 🤨

Very clean. Staff speak both English and Japanese and are very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse is within walking distance of both Nara Station about 10 minutes and Nara Park about 10 minutes but in the other direction. Would definitely recommend a stay.

The owner is a very friendly old man. It's a century-old old villa with a very Japanese atmosphere. It feels very homely, very clean and tidy. On the day of check-in, the old man was worried that we wouldn't have time to drive us to Nara Park to see the deer. I really enjoyed the accommodation experience here.

It's close to Naramachi, convenient for sightseeing, and reasonably priced, but you'll still get a room. There are also several public baths nearby that are open until midnight, and they all have saunas, which is great. The hosts are kind and welcoming.

Generally, if you really have no other choice, Nara is relatively small, and you can do a day trip to Osaka.

The price-performance ratio isn't great. It's self-check-in, and the room lacks cups, disposable slippers, and a TV. Soundproofing isn't very good, and the bed is quite soft. It's best to bring your own towel.

It's an 8-minute walk from JR Nara Station. There's no sign at the entrance to the hostel; the navigation app tells you to go into an alley before you can see it. I wonder if they could put a sign on the side of the road? It's okay for 1-2 nights in autumn and winter if you just want to sleep.
