The hotel is kinda old, it shows, but it's really, really, well situated. You literally have deers roaming around the hotel, in front of the door, the scenery is beautiful, and it's cheap.
You can drop your luggage earlier if needed. They barely speak English though so be a bit prepared if you're a foreigner. Still, for us, it was perfectly fine.
It's in a small street so low noise compared to other hotels placed further in the central town.

There was a cockroach. It's unhygienic! Disgusting.
I'd heard that Nara's customer service wasn't good, but the treatment was truly awful.
The location is good, but the bathroom is small, and there was hair on the sheets!? I never want to go back.
There's a curfew. There's no one there unless you check in right at the time!? It was advertised as cheap, but for that price, you could stay somewhere else for just a little more.
I think it's unacceptable to constantly make excuses to customers and pick fights over reviews.

There are paid parking lots on both sides.
We were able to stay in a Japanese-style room for three people at a reasonable price during the Golden Week holiday season when accommodations are scarce and prices are high. The location is excellent, being close to Nara Park.
We were so tired we fell asleep, but it seems there is a curfew.
Early in the morning, when we left the hotel, we were surprised to see about six deer wandering around.
We received a deer badge at checkout.
Our child loved it and wore it throughout the trip.

The location is very good, very close to the scenic area, it is very convenient to live here, it is a residential area and it feels quite good!

Lovely japanese style rooms and very warm and welcoming hosts. The only unusual thing is the 11 pm curfew (though apparently not strictly enforced)

The grandparents are super cute and warm. The surrounding environment is super good and close to the attractions. You can also feed the deer in the block and store your luggage. There is no elevator for the stairs, but fortunately the steps are not high.

The hotel is clean and hygienic, with a good surrounding environment. It is very close to the attractions (you can walk there). The hotel front desk is staffed by an old man or a grandmother, who is very friendly! But they don't speak Chinese. The 12-square-meter double room is OK.

Nice room in a quiet area, kind staff, convenient to the Nara attractions

Lovely hotel gave you a warm welcome feeling. Free parking facility next to the hotel. The Japanese buffet breakfast is available at 1510 Yen per adult, and half price for children. It's very close to the Nara park, deer park, temple, Taisha, etc.

But if you want to enjoy staying Japanese style hotel, it could be unsuited slightly for you.
