Hotel Resol Kyoto Kawaramachi Sanjo, Kyoto1 / 27

Kyoto, Daikokucho, 59-1, rayon Nakagyo, 604-8031 Kioto, Prefektura Kioto, Yaponiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Truly enjoyed my stay here! Really love the cozy and zen vibes and location was really good, directly opposite a mall with Uniqlo, GU and Loft. Amenties were provided in the lobby so you can help yourself to it anytime
It was really good to stay at Resol, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, the location was excellent- right in the middle of the high street- but the hotel itself served as a sanctuary and can I add, the scent when you walked in was heavenly- I even bought their signature essential oil
Excellent location, just a few steps and you're right on the hustle and bustle of downtown Kyoto. Room was clean. They have free coffee inside a quiet library. Staff was extremely helpful. I recommend
Overall is good and they have Refa for shower and hairdryer. My only complaint is the room is quite dark, not have enough light/lamp..
Excellent! The room is quite spacious, big enough to open a 30-inch suitcase
The rooms were just right - they provide pyjamas, slippers, and all the things you need, like a phone charger- that was super helpful and convenient for travelers who might need converters

Toyoko Inn Kyoto Biwako Otsu, Otsu1 / 30
8.6
Otsu, 2-1-28 Nagara (in the centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel perfect for a stay out from bustling Kyoto city. a bit far, but very good location if you dont mind 10mins walk to JR station.
Being a Toyoko Inn, there's nothing wrong with the hotel itself. The rooms are clean and the service is also excellent. The only downside is the location
Self-check-in was available, but the service was quite good. There was a water dispenser and a small seating area
The room was a bit more spacious than typical Japanese rooms, but there was only one elevator, so the wait was quite long. The breakfast was simple and delicious
It's a bit far from both JR Otsu Station and Keihan Biwako-Hamaotsu Station, so it might be a bit difficult if you have luggage or during hot or cold seasons
Also, there are no convenience stores nearby, so you might find it inconvenient if you forget to buy something

The lobby on the first floor was quite spacious, providing a good spot for a temporary rest. They offered complimentary sugar-free beverages (available until 9 PM or 9:30 PM) and there was an ice machine
Although the room was small, it had everything we needed. The staff were very welcoming and the room was very clean. The location is quite convenient; Nishiki Market is less than a 10-minute walk away.
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Kyoto. It was exceptionally clean, beautiful rooms and excellent customer service
The location was also excellent. It's about a 7-minute walk to Sanjo subway station, and close to the bustling Sanjo and Shijo districts, roughly a ten to fifteen-minute walk away
My friend got sick half way through the night and the hotel let us book a separate room at 01:00 in the morning. It was a great location so we would definitely stay again!
The room was excellent, with comfortable bedding and a spacious layout. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, which is a bit uncommon for Japan, but the space was still decent

Right in the city center, next to Uniqlo, and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and main attractions. Despite being so central, the hotel is very quiet inside, making it perfect for a good night’s sleep
Highly recommended – Excellent stay After a very poor experience at another hotel, staying here was a complete turnaround. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Location The location is unbeatable
Very convenient location for Kawaramachi, Shijo, all amusement just outside. Western style large bedrooms yet traditional Kyoto luxury feel decor. Good value at reasonable prices
They also store your luggage if needed and even lend umbrellas when it rains — a very nice touch. Breakfast The breakfast buffet was very good, with a nice variety of options
Breakfast buffet is very generous in the morning with western and Japanese options. In the afternoon they have a sort of tea time as well where you can grab a drink, great if you think of passing by the hotel
Overall experience Everything about this hotel made our stay in Kyoto much more enjoyable. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and well-managed. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation

Takashimaya is just a 5-minute walk to the right. The location is unbeatable, and it's excellent value for money, which more than makes up for the slightly small rooms. The service was also very good!
The hotel has an excellent location right in the city center, with everything within easy reach. It is modern, clean, and well-maintained
The location is excellent, amenities are self service on the 2nd floor, love the shampoo/conditioner/body wash that the hotel provides. It’s clean and the service is friendly
5th floor has 1 washing machine and 6th floor has 2. Only fill it up like less than halfway to ensure your clothes come out dry. I requested our room to be on the opposite side of the Main Street so it isn’t as loud
The breakfasts can become a bit repetitive over six days, but we were never left hungry. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The room had everything necessary, except for proper storage space
Loved this hotel and everything about it. Rarely would I stay at a hotel again, but for Hotel Musse I will for sure return

It offered excellent privacy, and soaking in hot water on a cold winter night was deeply relaxing. In the morning, the misty view outside the window was beautiful
The hotel is located by Lake Biwa, and the room was decent. We booked a private onsen room with breakfast and dinner included. The food was excellent, the hot spring was great, and the hotel's service was also very good.
The free call service from the station is very convenient for travellers who come to stay but not driving. Both the breakfasts and dinners are excellent
We were charged an additional ¥4,000 for a late check-out at 11:00 am (extension of an hour). The in-room onsen was excellent, the water flow was strong and hot enough for cold weather
Good foods and excellent view.
Service: After exiting the JR station, if you call the hotel, a car will come to pick you up. However, that phone is really well-hidden; it took us a while to find it. The drive to the hotel takes about 10 minutes

Good clean place and near the center
I stayed at this hotel in 2016. This time I booked it for my friend. It still feels a bit old. It's quite comfortable to walk along the nearby Kamogawa River, and the sanitation is also very clean.
This is the Japanese city I've enjoyed the most, I still have a lot to do and this hotel is a very welcoming marvel, the owners are keen to help you make your stay the best and it is, you don't want to leave!! Breakfast is traditional Japanese, but you can choose Western
The streets of this city don't make you want to leave with its canals and bridges, very old and traditional houses, there are handmade sweets businesses and the hike up to the temple is through a shopping mall that spends hours looking at everything there is, amazing!! This hotel is a gem!
The shared bathroom is very nice and welcoming, you always have hot water to make your green tea and they leave you with traditional clothes
The room is OK, with a normal Japanese layout, but the price/performance ratio is not high, especially if the window is not facing the Kamo River, it is just an ordinary Japanese hotel

It's a basic business hotel, but the staff do their best with limited English
The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and held our bags since we arrived in Kyoto before check in time. The hotel was conveniently located near a train station and several convenience stores
I suggest that If your customer want to early check I just hope they don't give a charge. but over all apa hotel is so good.
Staff was very friendly and the room was quite clean. My only wish is that the Air Conditioning was a bit stronger. I am from the North and used to brutal winters. We like it cold.
Only complaint was that the bathroom was on a steep step that was not labeled. My friend and I stumbled on it a couple times before getting used to it
It was very clean, the staff were polite and pleasant, and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

The hotel is in a great location, just a 2-minute walk from Ishiyama JR Station. It is also very convenient to eat around, with many choices
well, i mistakenly choose the smoking room which made me feel very uncomfortable whole night
Although the hotel rooms are a bit small and the facilities are a bit old, the service attitude is good and the hotel is clean

Staff at restaurant were efficient and provided good service
Extremely satisfied with this hotel, definitely a vacation experience you won't regret! First off, the check-in service was impressive, with staff literally kneeling to assist us, and they provided a very thorough introduction to all the hotel's facilities and services
Public onsen was ok; the water was not as hot and as original. Breakfast selection was ok, can be better and have more selection other than seafood. Dinner was superb! The only thing was lacking is the location
There was nothing else around the hotel. 2 day stay was more than enough. There were no other facilities or events than onsen bath, foot/hand bath, happy hours
The lady who helped us was beautiful, gentle, and spoke excellent English 👍 Next, the hot springs: We booked a Japanese-style room with a private onsen, and the view was absolutely stunning
com, the price shows online does not include the kid, even we selected the kid at the begining, so we had to pay additional at check out. This is agent's issue, not the resort

The environment is quiet, the scenery is pleasant, the layout is very Japanese, the breakfast and food taste good, the person in charge is very friendly, there is a 24-hour supermarket three minutes away, and the price is not expensive
The room facilities are good, with Japanese tatami. The bathroom, washroom, and toilet are separated, but not cramped (if not, the space would be very large)
) that need to be repeated and confirmed several times. The overall feeling is still good
Particularly, I deeply appreciate all the staff. They make my trip really good
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, which may not be the most convenient for bringing children; The service staff is very enthusiastic and polite, but their English communication skills are limited, and there are a few small things (cancelling breakfast, not cleaning the room, etc
It was really brilliant experience! I would like to have the experience in a traditional Japanese ryokan and it was perfect. It is not that far from the Kyoto station by taxi and kiyozmidera temple

Very far from the attraction. If willing to walk this is the best choice
This hotel is good location - you can walk to Kiyomizu-dera temple, Yasaka shrine, Gion (have many street food) The room is Japanese style, it look cozy.
The room is much larger than one would expect in Japan. Unfortunately, the Onsen is very small and I don't get a chance to fully enjoy it as the times to use it are also inconvenient. This is the only small shortcoming
This hotel is extremely clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Cleaning takes place every other day for ecological reasons, but every day you will receive clean towels and toiletries
The staff at the front desk were not helpful - they didn't seem to know about public transportation, unable to provide directions, even with using Google translate
Great location right at the foot of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and convenient for taking the Keihan train. The room was clean and spacious, very nice.

The room is quite large; even with two suitcases fully open, it doesn't cause any problems. As an art gallery-style hotel, you should definitely choose a room with a style you like, otherwise it might affect your sleep
There are four rooms per floor; I highly recommend X04, which has a window facing the Kamo River. There are local DJs on the first floor from time to time, so you can have some fun. Check-out at 11 am is fantastic
Our original room was double booked so they accommodated us very well by giving us their suite on the second night of our stay. The experience of each room was quite magical
There was even an music event going on at the hotel, which was really fun and interesting as well - highly recommend staying here, will come back for sure to stay in one of their other amazing art rooms!
Very rare experience to stay in a designer decorative room. Walking distance to the busy city centre too. Only down side is the size, not suitable if you have big luggages.
The spacious bathroom is a real heart-warmer, the toilet is good, they cleaned it every other day, and there was delicious tea in the room

The hotel, location, and amenities were great. Staff at the front desk spoke great English and the luggage forwarding was a fantastic touch. The room was spacious and comfortable
There is also Perfect kimono rental nearby, and there are Japanese-style baths and showers. There are also high-end Uji Sencha tea bags, which are very good. The front desk is French and both of them know how to speak
There was a mix up with my original booking at their other location a few minutes away, they quickly made it right by upgrading the room, moving me this location
Small but complete You can also pay to help book performances in the evening The front desk is very friendly and the key is really good English The room is very Japanese-style and beautiful
The staff were exceptional and helped every step of the way. The room was clean, everything worked, the pillows were great quality

Banda Down the beat hotel ever. Traditional interior and breakfast truly are the most marvelous experience you can ever wish for. The stuff is very kind and helpful
There is plenty of hot water, but it took a little time to figure out the shower when I debugged it at the beginning. The location of the hotel is very good
Communication was effortless as all staff members spoke excellent English

Pretty decent hotel in the alley of Kyoto. No frills hotel but you get what you need. Free breakfast included, it was simple yet filling. Don’t expect too much for breakfast since it’s free

The location is very good, close to the station. There is a convenience store within 1-2 minutes' walk. The room is not big but sufficient. Our 3-person room has a small table, which is good for storing luggage.
The location is super good. It takes less than five minutes to walk to the shrine. There are many snack bars and shops around, as well as 24-hour convenience stores. You don't have to worry about being bored.
Place had working netflix. 10/10. Staircase up to the bed is kinda horrifying but the place is honestly quite good for the price. Walls are paper thin but they provided ear plugs.
Very good, much better than expected, affordable price is the biggest highlight, the cost performance is really high
Very satisfied, the location is excellent, and you can reach the surrounding scenic spots in ten minutes.
Close to temples and shrines, good price. Will book for another stay in Kyoto and recommend to friends.

Excellent location, with a unique morning blessing ceremony. The hotel is in superb condition, and the service is great, perfect for an authentic local cultural experience
Convenient location, spacious rooms, and great toiletries. We even got a complimentary breakfast on our last night, which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you!
Most attendees at the morning temple blessing are Japanese. The rooms are spotless and the facilities are all very new
All the main attractions are within walking distance. However, the hotel is quite old and feels a bit neglected in terms of maintenance. The cleanliness left something to be desired
This kind of spot should be home to a super-luxury hotel like a Hyatt, Four Seasons, or Ritz-Carlton! To occupy such an amazing location and not maintain or upgrade it is truly inexcusable!
The windows were dusty, and there was a lot of dust on the room's tables and other surfaces. The Japanese-style room wasn't very large; it felt a bit cramped

The rooms get cleaned every three days only, but you get enough towels. The rooms have a small fridge and a watercooker aswell
A very clean hotel, near to city center. Two problems: although staff are nice, but can’t speak English well, and room cleaning service is every 3 days which is a bit strange!
We have stayed more than 30 hotels in Japan, the service of this hotel is the worst one. We stayed in Japan hotels because of their convenience in helping delivering luggages to airports or other towns

Great service, food amazing. The sukiyaki we got the second night was so good! The building is quite aged but they do their best with top notch hospitality, food and service.
Stayed with my daughter for one night! We liked everything! The room is large, with a separate toilet and a separate bathroom. There is a table in the room and a table with chairs on the equipped balcony
+ Clean rooms in traditional Japanese style, have everything you need, interesting experience of staying. - The ryokan is still outdated. Check-in is from 16:00, and check-out is until 10:00, which is very inconvenient
On the 6th floor there is a beautiful view of the mountains. It is a pity that access to the veranda is closed - this was very upsetting. There is a gorgeous view and the paths are paved with stones
We went to the onsen in the evening and in the morning. The onsens are located on the 1st and 6th floors - men's and women's. They change every day and it is possible to visit both onsens
The latest breakfast is 08:30, which is too early. This is especially inconvenient for guests who come from Western countries, who have a big time difference
